Time sure seems to zip on by doesn’t it? It’s time for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop where we get to share the things we are thankful for with all of you. We’re all a wee bit confused since the humans messed with the time again, but we are adjusting okay. The feral family seems purrplexed with the purrceived feeding schedule change but I’m sure they’ll figure it out in no time.
Today though I’m thankful for good brushings from the Mom and the Dad. If my blog post title confuses you, let me explain. As I’ve mentioned many times before, the primo brushing spot is the “perch” on the vanity in the big bathroom. Nowadays there seems to be a mad rush any time the Mom or Dad heads anywhere near the place. Well, nobody is really mad, that’s just a figure of speech. Anyways, of course I head that way as does Brother Simon and Sisters Dolly, Seal and Zoe. It does get a little bit crowded with five of us waiting there.
I’m thankful that, as the main Mancat, the Mom and Dad always make sure I get the brushing first, it’s sort of a seniority thing. I’m always thankful for the special attention they give me and the Mom and Dad are always thankful that I have been so welcoming when others have joined our family. Even though we have a fairly large family, we all always feel special, and we’re all thankful for that each and every day.
So tell me, what are you thankful for today? Tell me in the comments and then hop on in and join our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, we’d really like that. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Brian, it is wonderful that you have welcomed so many siblings into your family. Not many kitties would be as generous as you are in sharing your home. I’m glad your Mom & Dad give you your brushing first. It’s a small thing, but it lets you know how thankful they are that you’re such a special kitty. I’m thankful that I have a nice warm house to live in. It’s getting cold here and I would not want to be an outdoor kitty.
Brian, that’s really awesome that you all get a turn with some brushing. And that you get to go first! 🙂
We’re thankful that Gracie got a good checkup at the vet last weekend.
Many things to be thankful for. Despite our humans busy schedules, we get all the necessary things we needed.
Mr. M loves a good brushing, too. I’m sure he will think of mentioning that one of these Thursdays. Have a great day, Brian!
that is super great that you get your brushing time as the furst one… I have always to wait till the mama finished her furs (needs 87 hours or more)… I think she should switch to your way… the main mandog furst…
I love brushing too, and I don’t get it enough!
I think all cats feel that way. I hope you get brushed more.
What a pawsome routine you have for brushing.
We like brushing too as it is like a massage 🙂

Brian I know my Mom wishes I liked brushing – Sammy did…..but I am too squirmy to sit still for a brush. Maybe I’ll calm down…..one of these days!! I think it’s wonderful that you have so warmly welcomed the others to your home – all of you are so lucky as are your ferals who visit outside…………..we are THANKFUL to know you!
Love, Teddy
Sure pays to be the senior cat around and get to go first. But getting to all is a win indeed. Although their arms may get sore after a while.
Seniority counts for something! Good for you, Brian!
Today we’re thankful for nip! Unfortunately, brushies are not loved over here, even though two of them need the brushies..
What a wonderful family you have, Brian. You are such a sweet boy, so welcoming to your siblings. Your mom and dad are fantastic as well, always making sure that you all feel special. We’re thankful for that around here, too, all of us getting time to feel special. Thank you for hosting this wonderful challenge, Brian!
We are so thankful that all of you kitty kats have such a wonderful home. We are even more thankful that the feral cats have shelter and food. We are big fans of the feral cats. Lots of things to be thankful for these days.
Have a wonderful Thursday.
A good brushing is always fun. Thanks for hosting.
I didn’t know that you’d like being brushed so much. Lucky you that your mom and dad pamper you! Our pups don’t like being brushed as much as you do!
We are thankful that like your large family, we all get lots of special individual attention and feel loved. Today we are especially thankful for a vet that makes house calls. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Being senior brings it’s privileges, Brian.
Sometimes we like to be brushed, and other times we really wish the brush would go away. But the time spent with Mom is definitely worth the time. Maybe you need one of those “take a number” machines outside the brushing room:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Brian, your furrs look wonderful from all those brushies!
So furry thankful you gets lots of brushing… and of course you should be furst… and all the wonderful kitties that am doing goods and getting to know dats you are a goods big bruther to haves. – Chiquita and Katie Mom
Fur some reason, Linky decided not to link the photo to the hope… so our linky am blank. ;-(
My kitties are big fans of brushing, we dogs, not so much!
Dear Mr Brian,

Yep, seniority is definitely important! Hope you got a good brushing today (first!).
I have so many things to be thankful for today. My life seems so full of joy. Perhaps prayer and meditation do work…
Awwww… we would love to see a picture of everybody crowding in for their grooming sessions!
I’m thankful for the love and good company of all my boys: Mickey Mouser, Rufus the Red, and Rick the Husband.
xxoo
We are thankful our Grandma is OK.
I love a good brushing too…and come to think of it, I haven’t had a good one in a few days. I’m off to bug the lady with the yellow hair to brush me. ~Zoey
Brian, you look extra happy and thankful today! We are always thankful to get brushed…especially since our mom gets a D grade for consistency.
Brian, can you teach Avalon to love a good brushing? She is afraid of the brush! What’s up with that?!! ;p
the critters in the cottage xo
Brushing is good but I am thankful for chicken, lots and lots of chicken! Love, Cody
i am thankful I have ME time with Pop in the morning when he brushes and FURminates me. I’m thankful Simon and now Seal have adjusting to being family cats.
How wonderful to have your pawrents reward your patience and understanding with first brushing!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
We are so glad you get to go first, Bran. Such small things are important. Tama-Chan feels the same way!
Purrs,
The Chans
I missed this week. Sorry work outside the home got in the way. I NEED to schedule more don’t I.
Love to all.
Rank has its privileges! 🙂
Oh, I only wish that Samantha was so excited about getting brushed! She will allow it, but refuses to stand still for it, which makes it very challenging!! 🙂
Hiya Brian, Parsley is the brush fiend here, every night he has to be brushed without fail otherwise he sulks! MOL
Happy Sunday
