sister saturday dolly 12302017 - Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by to see me on Sister Saturday, I appreciate it. Can you tell I’m enjoying a pretty nice face full of sunpuddle? It feels so good on the furs this time of year. Actually, anything warm feels good this time of year. The weather guessers are saying we’ve got a big blast of super cold stuff headed our way, yuck.

Did you know that playing keeps a kitty warm too?  Seriously, it really does, and I’ve been doing my share of playing lately.  I’ve seen the young ones, Brother Simon and Sister Seal, just playing up a storm and realized that I had not be playing like I use to when I was a bit younger.  So I’ve been jumping right in and playing too.  Oh, not necessarily with Brother Simon and Sister Seal, but right along with them.  I’ve even started chasing the red dot again.  I had totally forgotten how much fun that red dot can be.  Sometimes Brother Simon wants to play chase and the chase gets going.  He chases me and I chase him back.  Don’t tell the young ones I said this, but they really are fun to have around.

There is one thing I’m not looking forward to though and that’s New Years Eve.  The human bozos will be setting off fireworks all night long and most of us will be in hiding.  I know it’s going to really be scary for the ferals, some of which were not here during the 4th of July holiday.  Heck, we even had fireworks going off on Christmas Eve.  I’d tell you what they could do with those fireworks but Brother Brian says I always have to be nice.  Hey, I’m always nice.  I am, always.

Okay, that’s it for me.  I hope you all have a terrific Saturday and a very Happy New Year, and a quiet one too.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I am so glad we don’t have fireworks here on New Year’s Eve! We do get people a few miles to the south of us, in the barrio, firing off guns, and that is bad enough! I hope that 2018 is good to you and your family, Dolly.

Hi there Dolly, so glad you have joined in the games of fun. Sounds like everyone is having a good time. Hope all the ferals are able to stay warm this coming week. It is going to be so cold. You all have a fantastic New year.

  3. Emma

Stay warm! It is below zero until Mon or Tues here. We are thankful for the dangerous cold on New Years because it keeps the bozos inside 🙂 Have fun playing with your siblings.

I hear you Emma, really Cold here too and were lucky to get sun. Dolly glad you have a sun puddle to warm you. Glad you’re chasing that red dot again too. Maybe you’ll catch it in 2018. Happy New Year my fellow bloggers.????

That is one wonderful thing about having some young ones around, Sister Dolly, it reminds you older kids how much fun it is to play!
It is really, really cold here, so we are all pretty much hibernating and seeking out the warmest spots in the house! I think it’s too cold for anyone to be outside setting off fireworks, so that’s one good thing about it (though we don’t have much of an issue here so far).

You are looking gorgeous as ever, Dolly, and we are so glad to hear you have been playing!

We have had a lot of grey, rainy and windy weather and very, very few sunpuddles to be seen. New Year’s Eve should be fairly quiet around where we are, which is something to be thankful for.

DOLLY! You look extra beautiful with that face full of sunpuddle. I love when I can get those on my face and furs. We had bozos HERE too, and on Christmas NIGHT! What in the world was that all about? I feel for the ferals and all of us too who are afraid

  7. Fraidy Cats!

we wish fireworks would be illegal everywhere. Dolly, it sounds like you are having a lot of fun what with your sunpuddles and playin 🙂 big purrs to you and family and ferals for a safe and quiet New Year’s Eve – maybe it will be too cold for any bozos to make a lot of noise

Sweet Sister Dolly you are looking most beautiful this day. Maybe they won’t fire off those noisy fireworks around your place I know that would be nice if that happened. Hope all of you are doing well. I am still not back to blogging yet but wanted you to know you are in my thoughts. Hugs and nose kisses

We are loving that you have rediscovered the joy of playing, Sister Dolly – we bet you have a great time with that red dot. That cold blast is here, has been for several days, AND is sticking around for several more. We don’t mind the cold that much, but the Momster won’t let us stay out too long. Timber will go out in the cold with us, but he is always the first one at the door to go inside:)

Stay warm, and we hope it is too cold for those silly humans to make all that bang bang noise.

Fireworks are annoying to us humans and cats ears are much more sensitive. Our cat’s ears are so good he can hear the UPS truck pull into driveways with all windows closed and takes off downstairs LOL

Happy New Years to the Gang

Dolly, it’s pawsome that you’ve been playing and running. I always run to keep my kitten-like figure. I get fed a little extra cos of the liquid thing so I have to work it off.

  12. Tamago

Sister Dolly, you look gorgeous in warm sunshine!
Fortunately we didn’t have fireworks going off on Christmas Eve..but are expecting them on New Year’s Eve. Hopefully it won’t last too long!

You’re right, Dolly, playing can be a lot of fun. I’ve never been much interested in any kind of play, but my kitty sister and one of my kitty brothers like to tease me, and I play along. So, we often have a nice game going. I totally agree with you about the fireworks. They don’t bother me that much, but everybody else in my family hates them.
Happy New Year to you, Dolly.

Gosh! mommy says there was a few fireworks in the common at the townhouse last year, and they did not bother Queen Penelope…I am wondering if I am as brave!

I’m glad you’re enjoying some good playtime, even with the youngsters. Fireworks are illegal here except for July 4, but someone always seems to have some and set them off on New Year’s Eve. Stupid humans enjoy making things explode and go boom. Hopefully your firework noises won’t be as bad as you expect.
