No, I’m not climbing the Christmas Tree, why would you think such a thing? It’s Tabby Tuesday and I’m actually taking a chill up in the cat tree. I’m using my big tail as a foot rest and it really is comfortable. If you look in the top right had corner you can see the tippy top of the cat tree. Yes, I do go up there to sleep at night and yes, that’s the place I can reach the ceiling, not that I would do such a thing.
The Christmas Tree is fun though. I really do leave it alone about two thirds of the day so I think that’s pretty darn good. Yes, the one third I do play with it is when the peeps and Alexa are sleeping. Maybe if they would stay up all night with me I’d leave it alone all day. Do you think that would work? Nah, me neither.
Most of the time in the evening I do some serious hunting, yes, hunting of the red dot. Sister Seal joins in the hunt and together we’ve never managed to capture it. Brother Brian tells me it can’t be caught, and even though he is older and wiser, I’m not sure that’s really the case, so we’ll keep trying. It’s fun, and we enjoy the hunt. Did any of you ever capture the red dot or is Brother Brian correct?
See, that’s why I’m resting up, for the nightly hunt. I hope you have a fun day everyone and I’ll see you soon.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Here, only Boodie hunts the red dot – Binga and I are wise to it!
Oh we love that red dot. Now that is a fun thing to do. But we have never caught it. It is a sneaky red dot, for sure. Glad you are in the cat tree Simon and not the Christmas tree. Good boy. You all have a fantastic day.
Aww you look so cute. Enjoy your sleep.
Sounds like you work very hard Simon, and deserve that comfy nap in the cat tree. Our pawrents are wondering what little Miss Rosy is going to think of our Christmas tree…Guess we will find out later today after Mama puts it in place….wish us luck!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
Simon that is super clever to use your tail as a head rest… and you will never get cold feet…. my tail is long but more for the warmer seasons LOL
Nosso ponto vermelho sumiu e nunca mais voltou, mas era muito divertido perseguir a luz .
Boa sorte em tua caçada noturna.
Miauhihi

Simon, you read our minds–we DID think you meant the Catmas tree!
Ohhh Christmas trees are so tempting…mom and dad put ornaments on the bottom that have bells or make noises…dang it!! I’ve always been purrty good about leaving it alone. I mainly like to sit under it and sometimes when I’m getting settled the bell ornaments send off false alarms
hugs madi your bfff
When the peeps are asleep, a whole lot of fun can happen. That red dot never seems to stay still.
Glad it wasn’t the Christmas tree you climbed and it was the cat tree. Whoo. Yes, I actually thought you climbed the Christmas tree. Enjoy your sleep on the cat tree. I think Brother Brian might be right about the red dot. Never been caught here either.
Oh, that red dot hunt is definitely a tough one, Simon. We’ve never heard of anyone catching it, but maybe you could be the first! Keep resting up for it!
Simon that tail does make nice footrest or I suppose it would also make a nice “blankie” if it’s chilly. That’s one good thing about being UP on a cat tree though – heat rises so you stay warm. I’m a major red dot fan too Simon and I think Brian MIGHT be right about it being “uncatchable”. Even when I think I’ve caught it…..I haven’t. It appears right by my paw and takes off again! Have a good “EASY”……….
Hugs, Teddy
That’s a fabulous picture of you, Simon!
Purrs,
The Chans
I can see your seriously floffy tail makes a great foot rest!
Our boys haven’t been able to capture the red dot yet-but it may happen some day 🙂
If anycat could catch the red dot, it’d be you, Simon. I’m pretty sure my kitties wouldn’t want me to stay up all night with them – because the time I’m asleep gives them endless reasons to party and misbehave.
dood…brian iz rite…lezz ewe push de red dot dee vize… like down de heet vent ore sum thin…..yur never gonna catch it….we dunno why either ~~~
🙂 ♥♥
We don’t have a red dot here, Simon, or else we have missed it. We think all games should be won, so keep trying and we are sure you will catch it:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
You are just adorable, Simon!
If you catch the red light let me know what you win. We have always wondered. Humans can’t put a tree in the house and expect us not to be a little freaked out about it.
Simon, Seal…if ANY kitties can do it, YOU all can.
You look so cute and comfy, Simon ! We’re afraid Brother Brian is right : we never succeeded in catching the red dot. Purrs
Simon you like to be up high like I do! Love, Cody
That’s really cute.
If anyone can catch that red dot, it is you 🙂
Simon, neither Chuck nor Angel ever liked the red dot, but Da Boyz will chase and chase and chase until the humans get too tired!
You look so adorable up there, Simon.
Such a cutie, way up there! xo
Simon, are you resting in the cat tree so you’ll be ready to play with the Christmas tree? We’ve been spending time under the Christmas tree sleeping.
You have really settled in there, Simon! I love seeing you so comfy on almost the top of the tree. I hear that the red dot can’t be caught… but you never know!
Simon, we did think you were climbing the Christmouse tree. tee hee! it’s nice you do have time to play with it when your folks won’t bother you 🙂 we don’t have a red dot here so we can’t advise you there. though we do know Brian can be trusted 🙂 our favorite game is to hide our ring toys under the fridge and then we have great fun playing with the fishing stick when our momma is trying to pull them out 😀
~sharpie, ditto
Chasing the red dot is some exhausting stuff, Simon. Enjoy that tree snoozy, dude!
I’ve outgrown the red dot most of the time. I have grabbed it but it always escapes somehow.
Hey Simon, you sure do look comfy. We’ve never chased the red dot befur so we can’t say. But, sissy does say, we cats are vey cunnin’ hunters and can ketch anythin’ we put our minds too. Big hugs
Luvs ya’

Dooooood. That Red Dot is an Elusive Adversary for sure! ~ Maxwell
Hmm… I tend to agree with Brian about the red dot. I’ve tried to catch it, too, but it always seems to get away! It is some kind of magic! I bet you’re having fun with the Christmas tree. Mom says she’s not putting ours up this year, ’cause she’s spending the holiday with Grandma and Grandpa. I was looking forward to climbing in the tree box! Tee hee hee! Hugs!
Get your red dot rest handsome one 🙂
You look very comfortable in the cat tree…and cute! I know about the red dot, but I’m not telling. 🙂
