Hello everyone and welcome to Tabby Tuesday with me Simon. I know you might not believe this, but I’ve been having lots of fun. Did you know that sometime fun hurts? Yes, seriously, it can hurt and it can scare the Mom and the Dad too. See that famous green bench behind me? I was running full steam from the bedroom and ran right into on of those bench legs. The peeps are watching me just in case because it sure made a big thud, but I think I’m okay. The Mom says I need not be running so fast without watching where I’m going.
I’ve also been having some fun in the middle of the night too. Everyone else is sleeping and the Dad says I need to be sleeping too. But somehow I have been managing to find out when a noisy toy is left out and that’s what I pick to play with. Last night I found one of our hard plastic solid balls, you know, the kind that goes in one of those track things. I started chasing it everywhere. Guess what? Those hard plastic solid balls make quite a noise when you roll them all the way down the hardwood floors in the kitchen and hallway. Hey, I was having fun until the Dad got up and hid that ball.
Oh well, I keep finding all kind of things to play with, even though the Mom says that not everything is a toy for me. Seriously? It’s like a treasure hunt and I never know what treasure I’m going to find until it pops into my paws. I know when I’ve found a bonus treasure because the Mom calls it No Simon.
That’s it for me today, I think I need to get down and go chase something. See you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Simon, my human says that it took a couple of years for Binga to calm down! And now that she is old, her schedule is off once again! So I think you are right on schedule.
Sounds like you are livin’ the good life Simon!
The wild excited play of a young kitty 😉
All we can say is have fun.
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Treasure hunts sure can be fun. How rude of him to take the ball from you haha watch those big items in the way as you dash along.
Oh Simon, sure am glad you are all right. You sure are doing a good job keeping the Dad on his toes, poor thing. Our Lil Mum does the same thing to our Mom. You are just always busy. Hope all of you have a good day.
You just enjoy living life to the fullest and that is a wonderful thing! Race on!
I hope efurrything is fine after that colission… and we hope the bench has still all four legs too :O)))
Oh boy Simon, I forgot how active kitties like you can be. LOL
The stuff that’s the most fun to play with almost ALWAYS has the word “NO” in front of it! What’s with that???!!!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, Simon! You are going to have to learn the meaning of “too much of a good thing”!
Purrs,
The Chans
Simon, our mom hid all the noisy toys when Ivan and Izzy came to live with us because *somebody* always found one to play with in the middle of the night! Also, in our old bro Eddie’s early life in a different house, he would slide every which way because of his racing on hardwood floors! His favorite thing was pretending the hallway was a luge track–when they moved, Mom said she had to wash off cat footprints three feet up the walls!
You just have extra energy, Brother Simon. 🙂
Our Gracie often runs around in the house.
Boyz will be boyz right Simon. Things that go bump and squeak in the night are the best.
Hugs madi your bfff
Simon, that photo of you looks like it was snapped a milisecond before you launched yourself to go play again! That No Simon is a bummer, though…
Simon, your face says YES! To any and everything!!!
Brother Simon no matter what kind of a mood I am in, you ALWAYS make me laugh! OMC you are funny! I think you need to meet Cody, you two would get along famously! Hoping you didn’t hit yourself too hard, that “THUD” sounds like it was quite skerry!!!!!
You have lots of energy that you need to run off, Simon. The problem is when you do it in the middle of the night. Years ago we had a cat, Marmi, who used to bring his mice indoors after he had killed them if he didn’t want to eat them right away. Very often though, they were only stunned and would come round in the night. We would wake up to hear “Thump, thump, thump” in the middle of the night as he tried to catch them again.
Simon, I love to play with noisy items at night too! Nothing better than to hear my toy ducky QUACK QUACK at 3am when everything is dead quiet. Mom figures I’ll tire of it quickly but I don’t and she has to find me and take it away. MOL…got ya up mom…now let’s play…
Shoko
Simon, wish I could bottle your energy. MOL I’m sitting around mostly too except for when I’m shoveling snow. Got at least 4 more inches of snow and we are to get more snow and ice. It’s been snowing all day here.):):?? >””< Be careful you don't get hurt when your zipping around and having fun. Hope the snow stops. Happy Tuesday.
Only you could look so handsome and dignified just sitting there like that, Simon.
Simon, in that photo you look like you are already planning what your next adventure is going to be!
OH, and PS….be careful when you’re out adventuring!! 🙂
Simon, lemme first say in case I haven’t said it that I love that notch in your ear. Second, I hear you. When I was your age, I used to run so hard into doors and stuff that Pop worried I’d get concussed. I love to play with me hard fishy bones at night. MOL! Someday your peeps will wish you were still running around getting into trouble. My peeps tell me everyday to stop showing signs I’m aging.
Our mom is smart by not replacing our carpeting with wood floors. We sure are missing out on a lot of middle of the night fun!

Sounds like you need a teeny tiny helmet.
tee hee! Simon, you are our kind of kitty 😀
~sharpie, ditto
I hope you did not hurt yourself when you ran into the wood. I think you should be able to play with your toy all night. Your parents need quieter floors.
I love the vision of you playing with all the toys while everyone else sleeps. Just choose the quiet toys, Simon, and then you can keep playing all night long! I adore your eyes – you are such a striking Tabby!
Simon, you definitely need to watch where you’re running, dude. We can’t have you banging into stuff like the green bench! As for playing while everybuddy else is sleeping, just choose some quiet toys and yo will be free to have your fun. 🙂
You are extra-full of energy, Simon ! Purrs
Children must play very long to get rid of all the energy, ask my twofeet siblings …MOL 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 <3

Hey Simon, ya’ know, those hard balls are really funny when the peeps step on them with bare feet. OMC You should see the dance mommy does. She actually outlawed all the fun hard plastic balls. I’s don’t know why she wouldn’t want me to have fun, but sure ’nuff, they’re all gone now. Have fun. Big hugs
