Hello everyone and welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. You probably know why we are here, but if you are new then you will quickly find out that every Thursday we share things for which we are most thankful. We would love to hear what you are thankful for this week too. Sometimes it seems difficult if there is stress or bad fortune in our lives, but there is always a reason to be thankful, so make sure you look for it.
Today I’m thankful for good health, even though some of us have our challenges, me included. I’ve fought the pesky UTI problem for years but generally I’m doing darn good, the peeps see to it, even when I try to duck out of the medicine thing. Those peeps are purrsistant boogers, but I’m thankful they keep my health in check.
My sisters, for the most part, are doing good, some better than others. Sisters Seal, Zoe and Dolly seem to be doing good, and I’m thankful for that. Sister Gracie is having her challenges mostly due to issues with her weight and constipation and the peeps are constantly mindful of her needs. Sister Precious is stable and is doing pretty good even with her hyperthyroid condition. Our elder Sister Kit is having a tough go of it and the peeps are working on battling her diabetes situation along with her eye problem. I’m super thankful that everyone is holding their own at the moment. Brother Simon is doing good and is a total ball of energy.
Good health is a wonderful thing and we’re thankful for our well being, even with the challenges. Enjoy each day as a blessing. What are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then please join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Poor Kit, I wish her well and glad everyone else is well and stable. I’m thankful the winter is winding down and we’re getting nicer if not spotty weather. The better to take pictures in.
Friends, we are purring to help you get over your recent challenges. Kit, you are in Kali’s and my purrayers and thoughts. You are one tough lady and our thoughts will help you with your challenges.
Loves,
Shoko and Kali
We are thankful for good health, too. And we are so grateful that your parents do such a wonderful job of caring for you all. Big hugs, and thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
What a wonderful reminder, Brian! 🙂 <3
Carmine was off his eating for a few days, but he seems to be picking up again. I was afraid Lita's being sick was starting to make his pancreatitis flare, but I'm glad he seems to be doing a little better now.
We are going to join the hop here in a bit. We are thankful that Lita is still with us and I think she is thankful that her human mom is so darn stubborn! 🙂
we are soo thankful that everyone is doing well! Now we are wishing for good health for our human step daughter….things have NOT been good 🙁
we are very thankful you are all in good health
Good health is something to always be grateful for! I’m grateful that at 17 and 16 respectively, Binga and Boodie are doing well!
It’s good that most of you are doing well and you have a devoted mom & dad to help keep you healthy. I hope they’re able to get Sister Kit’s diabetes under control. Some cats are easy to keep regulated, and some can be more of a challenge.
that is a thing I’m grateful for too… and we wish that the good health stays with you and your sisters and with all of us…
We are happy to hear you all are doing well.
Health issues can be OK as long as they are monitored.
You have great folks looking after you 🙂
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
We are happy to hear that everyone is “holding their own”…..we will keep sending POTP though because a little “help” never EVER hurts. I know that our families do their best to keep us healthy which truly makes us VERY lucky because I think about all the animals who have nobody to look out for them and it’s sad as can be. Sending all of you a special HEALTH HUG………!!
Love, Teddy
We’re thankful for good health too! Mr. Sidewalk Shoes has had the flu and he is finally getting better!
Health sure is tops no matter who you are indeed. Hopefully everything stays as well as can be at your sea, doesn’t mean one can’t have some fun and make the peeps work at medicine time though haha
Good health is something to be very thankful for and we are thankful that all of you are doing well.We are thankful that your Mom and Dad take such good care of you. You are mighty lucky kitties. You all have a fantastic day.
We are thankful that everyone at your house is doing OK for the most part. We are also doing pretty good here and looking forward to Spring.
I am glad you are mostly all doing well and continue to send good thoughts for Sisters Gracie, Precious and Kit.
Good health is a wonderful thing! I am glad you are doing well and am thinking of your sisters who are having a rough time – especially Kit. XOXO
Mr. M here. Brian,iIt is good to know that everyone is holding their own. We are all in decent health here, too, which is purrticularly good after the trials and tribulations we had the las part of 2017… `Oh meaow is me, I had to be on antibiotics for a full two weeks for a sinus infection, but I’m fine, now. =^.^=
I am glad you have such loving folks to keep you all healthy. XO
You have the most wonderful parents who look after you with love and such great care!

In a multi-pet home, it seems like someone always has some kind of an issue. Hope everyone can continue to do well or at least hold steady.

“purrsistant boogers”…Oh Brian! Hahahahahaha!
We couldn’t agree more, and we know that you all are in the best hands possible to help you out with all of your health issues. We purr that everyone continues to hold their own! ♥
Good health truly is something for which to be thankful, Brian. We are purring and praying for each and every one of you, and we wish you all well!
Have you tried Miralax for Gracie? Our vets prescribed it for Chloe Jo, but I get it over-the-counter. I mix it with water and give it to her every morning with a feeding syringe. It is just a softener, and keeps her regular without being another drug. We have had major success with this. She has serious issues with digestion (and urinary, too). <3
That great report on all your health states is due in very large measure to the wonderful, loving, and caring parents you have, always making sure that you get the best of care. We hope you all see some improvement with Sister Kit.

Hello loved animals. We are glad you are being tenderly cared for and hope you improve in what ails you. Pureed pumpkin (no sugar) was recommended for constipation and other digestive issues to us and it seems to have helped a lot. Plus very tasty. If you haven’t tried it might give it a whirl. Quantity usually 1 tsp to 2 tsp per day, depending on your weight. Also hot compresses can help.
Brian, we couldn’t agree with you more. Around our house, our health has been a major concern but the mom is doing her best to take care of all of us. We’re glad you’re doing well and everyone else is doing well for the most part.
There’s no stopping a mom or dad with medicines for us–and thank Bast! You and your brothers and sisters are lucky for yours.
I’m thankful that the sick bug has been mostly avoiding your house lately. *paws crossed*
