There’s always something to be thankful for so welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. We love sharing things we’re thankful for and we really love hearing about your thankfuls too.
This photo was actually taken yesterday (or today, Wednesday, if you are reading this Wednesday night) and I’m patiently waiting on the arm of the couch for the Mom to come sit with me. I just just know her leg needs some fluffing up. Wait, Wednesday and the Mom is home? Yep, smack dab in the middle of the week. Now that’s really something to be thankful for any old day!
Today though, I’m thankful for the wisdom of the humans that made it possible for the Mom to be safe at home. I know, wisdom of humans is a bit of an oxymoron. However, today it’s true. You see, we had snow and the roads were really going to be bad. Seriously, if there is a rumor of snow the roads get bad here in the South. Anyways, the Mom didn’t have to go out on a commute because the wise humans closed her place of work today. That means we didn’t have to worry about the Mom and it means bonus lap time for me. I’m seriously thankful for both of those. We’re also thankful for the Department of Transportation workers that are out n’ about clearing the roads so others can be safe in their travels.
In case you were wondering, I didn’t have to wait long at all. The Mom joined me on the couch and her leg got some serious fluffing, just like I promised her.
What are you thankful for today? Tell me in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Yay for your Mom’s place of business being SMART!! And YAY for extra lap time AND safe Moms!! xoxo
Glad your mom was able to stay home with you (and off the icy roads). Snuggle up!
You are right!! Great example of human intelligence–always good to be reminded that some of us out there are smart! Glad you and your mom had extra cuddle time!
Yeah! A snow day! It would be so treacherous on the roads today with the snow and ice. Smart businesses would close. Nobody is out and about anyhow.
Your mom being home is a very good reason to celebrate.

Ain’t that the truth Brian. Unlike Northerners who get snow and ice all the time, our roads just ain’t made or designed fur such. And peeps ain’t used to drivin’ in it either. MOL We’re glad your mommy got to stay home and you got extra lap time. We’re always fankful fur lap time with mommy and we’re fankful ya’ll are pawrt of our lives. Big hugs

We’re thankful your Mom got to stay home, too, Brian. Safe and sound on the couch sounds like a great place to be, especially with you fluffing her leg!
Stay safe and warm, pals!
I am glad your mom got to stay safely at home with you kitties.
I’m so glad your human got to stay home and didn’t have to go out in the snow! She’s safer… and more snuggle time with you!
Hooray for smart humans and days off!
Mr Brian! What a wonderful thing to be thankful for! I know I am happy when my Mom works from home. I wish she could be home everyday!

Fico contente que você e tua mamãe tiveram um tempo extra para se aconchegar no sofá. Se fosse comigo eu passaria o dia ronronando de alegria como um gato. Hihi
Cafunés!
you made me laugh with your very wise thoughts about human wisdom LOL
WE are glad your mum got to stay home and that you got to warm that knee 🙂
Sounds like a pawsome day.

YAY for the place where your Mom works being smart and letting people stay home to be safe! We just got a teeny bit of snow here but my Mom and Dad are retired and didn’t have to go out anyway. Happy Thursday – we can be thankful for having Mom and Dad time right Brian?
Hugs, Teddy
Very wise humans indeed! Enjoy your extra Mom time!
Purrs,

The humans occasionally do something smart, MOL! We are glad they closed your mom’s work place so she could stay inside with you where it’s nice and safe. <3
Daddy got to come home and work yesterday. We wish the people had been wise enough to tell him he didn’t have to drive to work. He got all the way there only to discover he couldn’t get across the bridge because of ICE so the ship yard was closed. He still had to work but he could do it from home thanks to the Internet. We think the same thing may happen today. Youngest boy did have to work, but thankfully he works close by and he got off before dark. Eldest boy works with Daddy so he didn’t… Read more »
Every once in a while humans can be wise indeed. Good to avoid the snow and fluff that leg always.
So glad your mom got to stay home!! We have had schools and some businesses closed for two days. Today it’s supposed to get above freezing, so that is good!
We are so glad the Mom got to stay home with you yesterday. It was a mess with all that snow. Hope everyone got a good snuggle. You all have a great and stay warm.
I am thankful you are all safe. ❤
OH goodness, when mommy’s or daddy’s get to stay hoe with US? Heaven!
We are so thankful you mom’s work let everybuddy stay home!. It is a frozen mess here.
We had a shade over 5″, the most snow in one day in over 7 years. Some winters we don’t even get 5″ the entire season.
Hugs madi your
Believe it or not, some of that peep wisdom must have spread up here, ’cause schools are all closed, today, and everythin’. Of course, MY peeps are not so wise. Peep #1 is goin’ out this afternoon. Says she needs to get in some supplies. PURRS.
Aren’t snow days wonderful, Brian? We are so glad that your mom stayed safe and sound at home, and that you got some extra lap time. In this cold of winter, we sure are so thankful for the warmth of our home. We purr and pray that all creatures could know such warmth and comfort.
Whatever causes the Bein ta be home is usually pretty good. Purrs…
It’s been such a weird Winter, Brian, but it’s good that your momma is home instead of out there fighting the traffic and weather. Here in Michigan, they’ve only closed schools when the temperatures were bitterly cold, ’cause we are all used to driving in snow! I worry about the ferals when it’s snowy and cold, but thankfully the two of them have been showing up for meals and seem to be okay.
dood….we iz thanx full that thiz mornin it waz 14 out side….can spring bee far bee hind ?? !! 🙂 ♥♥♥
Thankful here in Portland for no snow! And for cats. And for cat bloggers to keep us informed and entertained.
That was probably a very wise decision from Mom’s workplace. The kids here had a day off from school due to the bitter cold. Some of the systems announced that the night before, but the one for the grands’ waited until the last minute that morning. Dumb decision, with parents needing to make arrangements for daytime care. Always best to err on the side of caution:)

We will be late joining the TT this week. Mum is sorting out our flights to Kansas City and its getting stressful.Dad worries about all kinds of silly things. We will see you next week and try to visit some of the TT crew.
That’s the smart thing to do. Stay home when the roads are bad.
It’s good that your Mom did not have to go out in dangerous conditions.
I am glad your mom was able to stay home in safety.
Having your mom home mid-week for some extra “fluffing” and loving time is definitely something for which to be thankful. We’re thankful that it actually got warm enough to go out on the catio today; though, the wind was blowing around all the snow from yesterday. Stay toasty. A bonus day with the Mom is awesome! Most importantly, it was so great she stayed safe. Even here in the Northeast, people should just stay home sometimes, but we have to be tough, so no one does. While our road crews are great, sometimes the snow or ice is impossible to fight and there are always accidents.
we’re glad your mom was able to stay home safe and sound, Brian. you all had a win-win-win: mom’s snow day, your bonus cuddle time, and the bonus leg fluffing 😀 we hope you all stay safe and warm!
from ditto: I am thankful momma and minnie didn’t mind that I bomited on them the other night. they know I sometimes can’t help it and I can still cuddle with them 🙂

I’m so glad that your mom got to stay home with you!
Hooray for closed offices! My Pop gets to work from home in rough weather now cos up here workplaces never close. My furrend in Louisiana has really been complaining about the snow.
That was very wise of the humans, Brian and extra laptime…well organised! 😀 They all had to go to work yesterday while there was a huge storm over our Country…unbelievable 🙁 Pawkisses for a Happy Day 🙂 <3
Dat is definitely sumfin to be fankful fur! More snuggles fur ya’ll and Mom was safe at home it’s a win win 🙂
