Dang, it’s Mancat Monday again, already. It’s also one of those long weekend things today too since it’s Presidet’s Day. The Mom is home today and that makes us all very happy. The Dad is always home so long weekends are pretty normal for him. Although sometimes we think calling the Dad normal is a bit giggleworthy MOL!
Hey, I do have a question for you, are your peeps obsessed with your litter room areas? Ours are! They seem to operate on the principle of See Something, Scoop Something and Scoop Something, Vacuum Something. They also call it their no-pass rule, don’t pass the litter box without seeing if it needs attention.
Sometimes hearing the Dyson can be a little annoying, like when we’re trying to snooze, but we all do appreciate the clean litter areas. As soon as they are clean then one of us will go use the litter box and scatter some more litter about. Hey, we’ve got to help the peeps with their litter areas cleaning hobby, it’s the least we can do since they seem to enjoy it so much.
Okay, that’s going to be a wrap for today, I’m more than ready for a nice snoozy. I hope you all have a terrific week and I’ll be around to visit you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
I can imagine those vacuums are noisy.
Your humans are way more diligent about your litter boxes than my human is! I mean, she does scoop routinely, and our litter boxes are rinsed out every other day… but she passes by them several times a day and (gasp!) ignores them!
Yep, same way at our sea. Sometimes it is even grabbed before we can bury it, geez.
Brian, you all have such a good Mom and Dad. They do take such care of all of you. You are such lucky kitties. You all have a fantastic day.
Our mum is not as persistent as yours.
We often have 3 litter boxes, but we tend to use one the most.
Since it is in the bathroom, mum looks after it more especially as we love to toss litter on the floor 🙂

I hear ya… the mama is quasi married with count vaccula… not sdure if that is allowed ;O)))
I have to admit – NOTHING is more tempting than a newly cleaned out litterbox. I patiently wait nearby and the minute it’s scooped and ready for deposits – I’m THERE! HAHAHAHA
Hugs, Teddy
We only have two cats in our household, and I* usually scoop the litter boxes twice a day, once in the morning and once not long before we go to bed.
* I am the one who takes care of the litter boxes.
Oh yes the don’t pass the box w/o scooping is a rule here too. Since I’m on SUBQ fluids we now have 2 boxes out….and TMI mom was overheard saying Madi pp like a race horse…Which of course is good on the pp front.
This kitty does not hold her pp in. MOLMOL
Mom has a sucky monster upstairs and down stairs and a battery operated Shark thingie for in between. MOL
My mom gets mad about the litter getting all over the place despite the special mats. I guess it is a cat thing.
With all of the kitties using those boxes, it’s best to keep them scooped and vacuumed! Since I’m away everyday, I scoop and sweep in the morning only. There are four huge boxes for three kitties…even though I’m thinking of adding another box upstairs. I the warmer weather, I walk in bare feet a lot, and hate to step on litter.
I never call my peeps “normal,” either. That ship sailed long, long ago. In fact, it sailed so long ago I think the hull rotted out and it sank. MOUSES!
I think we have to keep our peeps busy, Brian…MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy scoop 😀 <3
Oh yes, Claire is obsessed with our litter boxes just like your humans, and she has the same principle, except that she uses a dustpan instead of the Dyson. Purrs
my pawrents don’t vacuum as much as yours do…mostly because Dakota loses his mind the entire time and for 20 minutes after the vacuum stops MOL!
Good job keeping your peeps busy!! )
I was the same, Brian. I could never pass a litter box without checking if there was anything to scoop.
The hardest part here is the furs – we seem to shed year round and have those two or three big sheddings. Mom is always running the stick Dyson on the hardwood to scoop up those beautiful sibe furs. We do have fun barking at those vacuums:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Our Mama scoops often as well since she works from home…it is more obvious when scooping needs to take place!
One of us always likes to use a littler box after it has been cleaned in order to give her something immediate to do with her time . . .
the critters in the cottage xo
At our house, tending to my kitty siblings’ bathrooms is a race between my mom and my doggy brother, Wylie.
Most of our boxes are in areas that I can sweep , the cats are pleased about that.
Well, with the number of kitties in your house making deposits to the litter boxes, your Mom & Dad have to stay on top of it. My box gets scooped morning and night, and sometimes in between if I leave something unburied.
We all wait for our mom to clean out the box and then sweep or vac the floor! Then we take turns putting all that litter back on the floor. Sometimes we’re able to shoot the little nearby rug halfway up the wall when we rocket out!
My peeps are neurotic about my litter box. They scoop like crazy; like they’re looking for gold doubloons. Pop couldn’t care about how dirty the litter mat is; that’s a woman’s job or should I say The Woman’s job. She vacuums once a week but more if there’s a real mess. She’ll also use the little brush and shovel.
We don’t even have litter and our mom is crazy with the vacuuming and the cleaning. Our Moms can be very entertaining.
The housekeeper wasn’t around today so everybody had to fend for themselves. I draw the line at scooping, though. I’ll not do it. I’d rather peek around the pantry corner and watch Will. I swear he mutters something about a big fat pain in somewhere. – Tom
Brian, we have to deal with the same thing here! we always try to help our mom when she sweeps up the litter off the floor but would you believe she doesn’t want it? something about attacking the broom is not very helpful…we don’t get it…
~sharpie, ditto

Pee S: LadyMum went into another flare uppy so if wee dissapeer you know why…. 🙁
We hate our Hoover!
I guess our cats lucked out…it’s the old scoop and sweep around here.
MOL Yep Brian, it’s kind’a like that ’round here too. ‘Course now that we’ve got that robotic litter cleaner mommy has far less scoopin’ to do. Big hugs
Luv ya’
