URGENT: Please Help Save Sadie
Hello everyone and welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Every Thursday we tell you about the things for which we are most thankful. We love doing this, and even better, we love it when you join with us. Yesterday we had rain, lots of rain, more like a monsoon, so I spent most of the day right here in front of the warm.
I never like to feel like I might jinx things, but here goes anyways, paws crossed that no jinx shows up. Today I’m thankful that our elder Sister Kit has been having some good days. Tuesday was a really good day, Wednesday, not so much. You may or may not recall, but she had a brush with diabetes. Before we put her on insulin the Dad decided to do a complete change of diet and change some of her routine meds. Actually, since there are eight of us we all had a major change in the menu. Fortunately, after a couple of weeks, Sister Kit’s glucose level is almost normal once again. Some days she eats good and some days not so good, but the Dad is watching her like a hawk. Well, not really like a hawk, but he does make sure she gets plenty to eat. Sister Kit has also gained 1.2 pounds, which is really good.
So, we’re all thankful that, right now, insulin is not in the picture and that she is able to enjoy some good days. Oh, how did the rest of us like the shift in the menu? We’re all on board and quite happy with the change. Fancy that, all of us agreeing is pretty cool, don’t you think?
What are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, we’d love it!

Like you I’m thankful to be warm and cozy inside while the snow gears up for another round of winter. I’m happy you all like the menu change and wish I could say the same for a certain chubby feline who is not too happy with the diet the vet recommended. I’m sure you like rain about as much as Dexter likes snow so stay warm and keep those adorable paws crossed.
I’m thankful Pop worked at home today rather than be out in the snow, sleet and freezing rain. Hooray for Kit. I hope she continues with those good days.
One big happy (and furry) family!
We have health issues over here also.
Yeah for Sister Kit’s weight gain! We were happy to stay in our snug warm home with all the snow and slippery sleet today.

Cougar Kit. I am delighted you are having good days and bummed out at the not so good days. Isn’t it nice to be kitty cozy inside on crappy days like today? I am surprised you just had a brush with diabetes. Good show changing your meds etc. Somebody’s on their toes.
Loves,
Crotchety and Proud,
Cougar Kali
I am praying Kit has a lot of good days. I am also praying for Sadie.

Great that she is having good days and no insulin needed. And everyone on board is sure a win, must be some tasty stuff.
That’s good that she’s gained some weight! It’s probably also good that everyone is eating healthier!
Oh we are so glad that Kit is doing well. We all have our paws crossed that she will continue to do well and keep eating. You all have a terrific day.
We are so happy that Sister Kit is having some good days, and that everyone was on board with the menu change too! It’s always a balancing act with the seniors, with lots of ups ad downs, so we’re glad things are under control right now.
Brian, I like your pose. How nice to be comfy and cozy on a rainy day. It’s so good that Kit doesn’t need insulin and she’s doing well overall. We want her to have lots of good days!
I am thankful for what you do, as well as those you help. Thank you. Warm hugs!
It’s great that Sister Kit is doing well and does not need insulin…and amazing that the rest of you are “happy with the change” in the menu! 🙂
We totally know what you mean about the “jinx” but we are sending strong Sibe vibes that this does not happen. You are doing so well with Sister Kit – Dad is amazing!!! Although the occasional setback will inevitably happen, we are crossing our paws for lots and lots of good days for Sister Kit.

Brian, it’s good to hear that Kit has responded to the changes, and that the rest of you have too! Your daddy loves you all so!
We are so happy that sister Kit has improved. The weight gain is the best news. You are a good family to support her and not complain about the new menu. We are thankful that three of us (Giulietta, Astrid and Lisbeth) are free of the eye infections. We are praying that it remains that way. Kit you all are so lucky to be loved and your peeps. What amazing TLC
We are thankful you are maintaining your levels and OMCs I know what you mean about celebrating gaining weight. For years I struggled to stay under 11 lbs…my Vet’s ideal weight for me. Then when I got sick last year I lost close to 4 lbs over several months. Now I celebrate being just a shade over 7 lbs….whew.
Hugs madi your bfff
