Hello everyone, it’s Mancat Monday and today I’m hanging out in our brown cube. We’ve had this cube for quite sometime now but all of a sudden it has become pretty popular. Not all of us are fans of the cube, mostly Brother Simon, Sister Seal, Sister Dolly and me. It’s an excellent hidely place too, especially at night and for us kitties that have darker furs.
There have been many times the peeps have looked all over the house for me at medicine time. They walk right past the cube because I’ve curled myself up back in here a ways. Oh, there are some disadvantages of using the cube as a hidely hole. First, the top lifts off, which means one of the peeps can lift me right out. Second, there is only one way in and out and it’s not unusual that once I’m discovered in here one of the peeps slides something in front of the only way out. All in all though it’s still a great place to hang out.
Sister Dolly will sometimes lay on top of the cube since it has a nice and cushy padding. Brother Simon and Sister Seal are in here a lot, mostly at night. Why? Because the pesky red dot runs right in here and hides, frequently. Every once in a while both Brother Simon and Sister Seal will try to get in here at the same time. That’s a bit of a traffic jamb and one of them has to take a last minute detour. There is also a taller stand right beside the cube and both Brother Simon and Sister Seal use it as a step up to higher places. The young ones are big fans of higher places.
Well, that’s what I’m doing today, just hanging around the house. I hope you all have a terrific Monday and a terrific week! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
That looks like a nice place to hang out, but it’s certainly getting mixed reviews as a hiding place!
Wow, that sounds like a great place to hide. We have one of those on our porch and it is very popular. Wishing all of you a really good day.
Tem muita coisa divertida acontecendo no cubo, é uma boa ideia passar algum tempo ali.
Cafunés para vocês, meus amores!
Hanging around the house in a cube is a great way to spend a Monday for sure – especially a MANCAT one! Enjoy!
Hugs, Teddy
We know our cubes are very popular around here.
that is a super place for hiding and for daydreaming… well picked !!!
It’s nice to have a place to hide from everyone. I do it too, but I don’t have a box. Sometimes I wish I did.
Have a purrfect Mancat Monday. My best to your peeps. ♥
MOLMOL Brian I hear you good buddy. I once tried to hide at med time, in my cat stump….but forget the tip of my tail was hanging out. It is kinda tiny so mom had to til the stump to get me out.
Hugs madi your bfff
Oh, sweet Brian those peeps always find a way don’t they? But you do need your medicine and you can always keep hanging out in the cube afterward. It must be so much fun around your place. I couldn’t help but laugh about Bro. Simon and Sister Seal trying to get in the cube at the same time. Keep enjoying sweetie. Hugs and nose kisses all around from me, Chancy and Pooh
Cozy and warm ~ Man cat is adorable and great photo!
Happy Day to you,

How nice to hear you are all sharing the cube.
We have several cubey things but they are different from yours. First of all, they are soft-sided so sitting on top would not be a good idea! They also have openings on three sides. It means they can interconnect which is fun, and we have two of them in the bedroom. Tama is the one who uses them the most often.
Purrs,
The Chans
This is a sweet post! Feline friends, you are quite finnicky and sometime ignore the beautiful perches and toys your human buys for you. Other times iit is a fight as to who gets to be king or queen of the Cat Tree. Rose, Mr. Kitty and Daphne love their cat tree but their is a feud right now as to who is the top of the heap! Hee Hee! Meow Meow ! HAve a beautiful week and your photos are simply handsome! HUGS
I may have to steal that idea for when I go to the Vet on Wednesday!
I loved the post. I love them all but this one was fun because we got to know you better. XXXX
dood…nailz anda saw N yur cube izzuez bee come a quik fix !!! dont suppoze ya haza snax tray in ther ~~~~~ 🙂 ♥♥
Wow, that looks like an awesome cube! We’re happy you re-discovered it, though, it sounds like you have very smart humans. Time to figure out how to outsmart them. Again. MOL!
At our house we rotate throuh favorite places too.
Seems like there is no good place to hide from the peeps. When they set their minds to it, they always find us. We are trying to figure out how to get outside today – we had heavy rain and the yard is muddy. So the Momster says only one out at a time and only long enough to take care of business:(
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Mr. M hides in his ‘purrsonal box’ at med-time, too, but fortunately, he doesn’t fight once he’s found and he actually seems to understand that we’re trying to help.
That cube sounds very versatile with a lot of uses! When Sam gets in hers, I often can’t see her either! Black cats are pretty good at hiding, that’s for sure.
That cube looks like a great place to spend your day. Purrs
some of us like to hide and some of us like to right out there!
We love our cubes too! But ours have a few escape routed so it would be difficult to
“corner” us! Have fun in yours sweetie 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
Hey Brian, look if there’s a latch inside to open the top, you know in case of an emergency. It might be your perfect escape route if you time it right.
That looks like a nice place to hang out. Ron made a sort-of cube out of a large cardboard box. We call it “Gracie’s cardboard house” because she is the only one who uses it.
haha must be funny trying to watch them both get in at the same time. How rude of the peeps to stick something there so you can’t get out.
Frodo and Zulu love their cubes but the lid doesn’t come off and it can be hard to get them out when I need to!
That looks like a nice cube to hang out in.
That sounds like a popular cube.
I bet that cube is a darn good medicine hiding spot; good thinking Brian. LOL
Now that’s a great multi-functional cube!
That sounds like one versatile and handy cube
That does look like a nice hidey hole to take a nap in Brian! We hope yu can stay undiscovered for a bit!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
We had one of those soft 3-opening cubes once, but TBT brought it to the shelter because none of us would use it. We are glad you like your stronger one-opening type though…
I’m doing the same thing today, Brian!
~Ivan.
Cubes are so much fun! I have a magic one too and will offer a chance to win one on Wed.
That looks like a great hidey Brian. Sounds really comfy. Big hugs
Luv ya’

“…there is only one way in and out and it’s not unusual that once I’m discovered in here one of the peeps slides something in front of the only way out…”
Are you saying your peeps intentionally trap you in your hidey cube? That’s dastardly of them.
We see those cubes at the local pet store, and have been considering buying a few!
Oh yes dat looks like da pawfect hiding spot so ya doesn’t has to take your medicine…too bag they find ya 😉 Oh and dat pesky red dot it hides from me too!!
xoxo,
Matilda (& Matt)
I think that is the purrfect place for some quiet moments, Brian 🙂 Comfy Pawkisses from me to you 🙂 <3
