Hello everyone, it’s Mancat Monday time, it seems like it happens every Monday for some reason. Oh, wait, it does, every single week Monday is always Monday. You all know us kitties really like reliable and consistent. Things we can count on are just purrfect. Well, most things.
One thing we can count on is consistent but it’s hardly purrfect. This coming weekend the humans will be messing with the time thing again. Yes, it’s consistent here in the United States, but we sure don’t care for it much. Sadly, when the humans mess with the time it really gets us all discombobulated and totally messes with what we think should be our meal times. It’s not just us either, it totally confuses our ferals too. We would all prefur to be combobulated and totally dis the dis part.
We never really understand why the humans think they can mess with the time, and obviously the humans don’t know why either. Every time it happens we hear humans everywhere complain about how it messes things up. So why humans are you doing something that most of you don’t like? Oh, wait a minute, you’re humans, nuff said.
So, I’m going to enjoy the week, have my naps and meals on time, and plot a strategy to cope with this semi-annual event, and I’ll ask the Dad to see what he can do to help the ferals eat close to what they think is on time for them.
How about you? Do you like it when the humans change the time thing? Have a fun Monday everyone and I’ll be seeing you soon.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
We do not like the time change thing either.WE see no purpose to it.
WE just hope the time change will bring back our sun and take away all the clouds.
Happy Monday 🙂
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
It’s that time already? It really confuses Binga! But the rest of us never know when we’re getting fed anyhow, because my human is so inconsistent about the exact time we get fed that we just roll with it.
Humans…enough said. haha Perfect.
Yep, we hate it too. Wish they’d ditch it here like other places have.
We do so wish they would leave the time alone, our humans will be out of sorts for weeks because of it.
WE hate the time change too. Sure wish they wouldn’t do it but guess we don’t get a vote. You all have a great day.
They mess with the time ’cause they can’t mess with the weather. It’s the next best thing! – Tom 🙂
the guys elected by other people of europe promised to skip that useless time changing… but like always empty words… so we have to deal soon with that stuff … sigh…
We wish they wouldn’t mess with the time thingy. There’s a movement here to keep Florida on one time zone.
The Florida Furkids
NO! We hate the time thing! This morning it was lovely and bright at breakfast time and we don’t know why it can’t stay that way.
You are a very handsome mancat. Yes you are.
I hate the time change too. It really messes us up. I with they would let it spring forward and then leave it alone. Arizona doesn’t participate in this time change. Good for them.
Have a purrfect Mancat Monday. My best to your peeps. ☺
Humans in general seem to think that they can mess with anything and everything.
We have yet to meet a human who says, “yay! let’s change the clocks!”, but they keep doing it anyway. Not fun.
Of all the stupid things humans can do, changing the time has got to be at the top of the list. And some days, we have a pretty long list! But wait… something you said…. “every single week Monday is always Monday…” Why can’t humans change that? We know we’d like a week or five that left out a Monday, Wouldn’t you?
NO! Not at all. In fact, I like to joke that I could run for the Presidency and win because I would support doing away with daylight savings time!
Just this morning, I was walking Delilah and noted to myself, that after next week, it will be a month or two before I am once again not walking in the dark. GRRRRRRRRRRR!
That time change really messes with us! Extra snoozes for us this week for the hour we will lose.
My Mom likes the “fall back” one the best………..she HATES the “spring forward” she NEVER catches up!! As for me? I just get to wake up my Dad even earlier! MOL!! Love, Cody
We don’t really get why it is so important to change the time. Just leave it be. Then our meal times and outside potty times will all stay the same. Mom usually starts now adjusting our meal time little by little in the hope that we don’t notice it by the weekend. The only good thing about the time changing is that we are likely to get more walks after dinner now that there will be longer daylight time.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Brian, The Hubby laughs and laughs at me every autumn, because I worry about that added hour…and the cats feeding schedules. The spring ahead works out okay! Here in Michigan, they’ve entered a bill to change the whole state into permanent Daylight Savings Time, but it’s not going anywhere through the legislature. Grrr….
Oh Brian you have a here here from us too. Dad gets all discombobulated too because it messes with our grandfather clock.
Hugs madi your bfff
You’re right, I hate change except when I do the changing. TW never knows what time I’ll ax for my breakfast. Sometimes it’s 4:15, but it could just as easily be 5:15, 6:15 or even occasionally 7:15.
Brian, I know I have heard Mommy say she detests time change. I know Mom would be “over the moon” if they would just leave it alone for pete sakes! Make it the one that gives the most daylight supposedly, and have done with it for pity sakes. Myself, I don;t care what it looks like outside as long as I get fed and she goes to bed at the right time so *I* can go.
Well let’s just say this “human” likes the time change. I wish we’d stay on it all year long.
Our kitties don’t seem to notice the difference or atleast they don’t let on if they do. – You look very cozy there.
Sometimes… Sometimes when a Monday is a holiday, it kinda feels like a Sunday. Is it still a Monday then? Inquirin’ minds wanna know. PURRS
dood….we canna standz day lite savinz time; ya can mizz a meel, ya canna sleep in coz oh burd song ya canna spy on nayborz at 10;31 dark o clox coz itz still broad day lite……faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
🙂 ♥♥
you are so wise!! Why do humans mess with the time-good question!
We hate it too, It’s going to happen end of the month here. Our humans don’t like it as well. Purrs
Oh, we’re dreading this!! We’re having enough issues trying to deal with my discombobulated work schedule lately, and now this. It will take us at least a week or more to adjust and recover. It’s so ridiculous, and we don’t know why someone doesn’t do something about it!
I don’t like springing ahead, but I like the fall back part 🙂
Humans are so silly to try and change time around – everyone should be on “cat time” – that means doing what you want to do regardless of what the clock says. Period.
Hugs, Teddy
We don’t like it either. Mickey Mouser and Rufus the Red have been trying to move up their breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bedtime snack schedules to fit another meal into the day. Second breakfast anyone?
xxoo
Thank you for the heads up. We are going to take extra naps this week to be prepared.
Sssshhh, don’t tell, but Mom is thinking of not working that Monday after they mess up with the time.
I hate the time change. Like you said, Brian, it confuses everybody. And especially, since my mom sets all the clocks, every clock starts out showing a different time, minutes apart.
Our mom HATES that time change thing! She’s totally off-kilter for days. And we eat late, which we don’t like.
Mee-yow Brian Ladymum feels thee same way!! Soon thee Sun will bee shinin inn thee bedroom window at 5 A Em an LadyMum will bee sue-purr grouchy!! Fank Buddha Kat fur black-out drapess!!
***sighsss***
**nose bumpsss** Siddhartha Henry =^,.^=
Brian, we hate the time change thing too. Plus, since our mom is not exactly a spring chicken, she finds the changes harder and harder to recover from. Wait–Mom’s a chicken of some kind??
Oh shooooot not time changes * sigh * I only just got used to the last ones……
They need to leave the time alone. Seriously, it’s not natural to keep messing with it like they do.
We do think those humans mess with time waaaaayyyy too much!
At least our dinner will be earlier this time!
xoxo,
Arty, Jakey & Rosy
PeeEss….In case you can’t find us, we’ve moved to:

I agree about time. I try to keep my humans combobulated, but every weekend and day they don’t work, they’re very slow to get up and give me my breakfast.
You know what…Cinnamon, Jo Jo and Kozmo get fed at the SAME time (for them) winter and summer. They get fed at 5:00pm in the summer and 6:00pm in the winter!
Mom says I will have to wait and get fed at 7am (which will be the new 6:00am) It is so furry confusing….
I will get her up at the same time (for me) anyway.

Oh, no, not yet, not again… we never get used to it…sigh… Timeless Pawkisses for you my furriend 🙂 <3
Don’t worry Brian, it confuses this human too. Ours doesn’t change until the 25th.
Yeah Brian, we hate the time change thingy here too. Fankfully, mommy let’s our house run on kitty tummy time. So no matter what the clock says, we eat on time all year ’round. Well, okay, mommy is behind and we eat late sometimes, but that has nuffin’ to do with the clock. MOL Big hugs
Luv ya’
