Things Around the House with Sister Zoe on Sister Saturday

sister saturday zoe 03242018 - Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Hello everyone, thanks for coming by to see me on Sister Saturday, I’m glad you did.  I don’t know what happened to Spring but it’s been darn cold in our neck of the woods and on top of that, iit’s wet and rainy this weekend.  The good news is that the weather guessers say that the warm is really coming next week.  I can’t wait, the nice warm sunpuddles are already calling my name.

Not much new has been going on here but sometimes the not so new is pretty interesting.  The Roomba vacuum is one of those things.  We all followed it around for the first two weeks but now it’s just kind of normal.  The only one that still follows it around is Sister Seal.  I guess she wants to make sure it doesn’t eat any of her favorite toys.  The rest of us don’t pay much attention to it and we pretty much sleep while it is working.  Oh, we do giggle at it because every once is a while it gets stuck a corner and forgets how to get out.  Even Brother Simon doesn’t mind it.

Speaking of Brother Simon, did you know he is a bit of a scaredy cat?  Yes, he is and sometimes he makes me laugh.  He’s not at all afraid of the Roomba but if there is an unusual noise outside or inside he hightails it into his favorite hidey spot, and let me tell you, he has the tail for hightailing.  His hidey spot, or safety zone, is underneath the steps that go up to the big bed.  What scares him?  Lawnmower people, garbage people or if the Dad or Mom drops something.  I keep trying to tell him all is okay, but he won’t listen.

Then there’s Sister Dolly, she’s not afraid of much at all, she’s a brave one.  She’s very kind too.  You probably know or remember that Angel Kit used to sit on Dad’s lap every evening.  Sister Dolly is taking care of the Dad and makes sure he gets plenty of lap time, which makes the Dad smile.  I don’t sit on the Dad’s lap, my job it to sit with the Mom so she won’t get lonely either.  Yes, Brother Brian and I are still taking turns sitting with the Mom, but honestly, I usually get there first.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to go on so long, but those are some of the things going on at our house.  Anything exciting going on at your place?  Have a fun Saturday everyone!!!

At least you have nice excitement! We had some not-so-nice excitement at our house this weekend.

Memories of Eric and Flynn

That was a good catch up Sister Zoe. It is very good of Sister Dolly to take care of your dad.
Spring still hasn’t arrived here and now there is talk of even more snow for us over the Easter weekend. I think Mr. Weather is very confused because we hardly ever get snow here, and if we get more it will be 3 times since March 1st.!

Sister Zoe, so good of you to catch us up on all the activities at your house. Glad Sister Dolly is taking care of Dad. Good girl Sister Dolly. You all have a good day today and stay dry.

Must be funny watching him take off at the nearest sound. I think we’d try to kill that vacuum, or get the dog to do it lol

I linked this post to Feline Friday. Sister Zoe needed to be showcased and now she is.

It’s good that all of you take care of mom and dad. That’s a very good thing.

Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥

Sometimes weeks when not much is happening are the best! Our Mickey Mouser is the scaredy cat in our house. I wonder if it would have helped if we had named him after a lion or tiger instead of a mouse?

Sister Zoe at least you try to calm brother Simon down. Always good to take care of mom and dad. We still have a little snow left but the sun is trying to shine and warm things up. Personally, I like 75-80 degree weather with no humidity. Home the sun and warmth finds you soon and that snow goes away.

I’m glad you folks will be getting some warm.
We are not getting any weather that I would really consider warm in the coming week.
Both of our cats are still a bit on the “scaredy” side.

Brotehr Simon sounds a lot like Zulu – Zulu can be afraid of his own shadow sometimes!

No worries about talking a lot, Sister Zoe – we love hearing all about the goings on at your place. One day you will have to have Mom or Dad give us a review of that Roomba – Mom might like to get one. Lightning is afraid of a lot of things too – lots and lots. When Dad lets out one of his gigantic sneezes, Lightning jumps and runs – you would think by his age, he would be used to it by now. Silly boys.

Dakota is afraid of the garbage people too! MOL! That is funny that the Roomba doesn’t bother Brother Simon but the other things do!

Little Binky and Granny

You’re looking very beautiful, sister Zoe and thanks for the update of what’s going on in your house. I’m afraid of any kind of noise too, but such a Roomba would scare the Bink out of me 😀 It’s good to hear that Dolly is taking care of your Dad now <3 Extra Double Pawkisses to all of you and Enjoy Spring when it comes 🙂 <3

It was so nice to hear what is going on at your house, Sister Zoe. I don’t have one of those Roomba things. Aren’t you worried it might accidentally eat your tail?! EEK! Mom gets out the hoover each week and it freaks out the D-O-G when its motor is on. Nothing really scares me, but I hate needles and I don’t like going to the V-E-T, ’cause I’ve made many visits there over the years, and one too many if you ask me! Tee hee hee! Hugs & luvs!
