NOTE: If you are looking for Marg and don’t see her, she is fine, she was having computer problems last night. If you see her then she got it fixed.
Hello everyone, welcome to Mancat Monday and if you think I look a little miffed you might be right. I encountered a bit of a chewy problem, but it may not be what you think. Like many of you we order all of our food and litter from Chewy, and that’s all been just fine. That’s not the chewy I’m talking about though.
I know you remember our fantastic new tree, the one that has all of the leaves that look so real. Well, it turns out the leaves aren’t real, but that didn’t stop some mancat from eating them. You guessed it, that mancat would be me. I actually ate 3 of them on 3 different occasions but fortunately I barfed them right back up. They really didn’t have much flavor, but that sure didn’t stop me.
So, the Dad was forced to redecorate, the tree that is, and all of the branches and leaves have been removed except for those on the tippy top level. I don’t climb much these days so the Dad thinks the top leaves will be just fine and I think so too. Everyone else still thinks its a cool tree, even without the lower leaves.
That’s what’s happening in my neck of the woods. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday and a terrific week. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Brian, mes would probably chew leaves, too! Mes loves to chomp on plants and that’s why the Mom never brings any into the house, MOL!
Mes is sure you still has a very pawesome tree!
Purrs,
Carmine
the top levels are always the best… and I have to admit that wouldn’t leave that leaves alone too… i’m a chewer and I know it LOL
Brian, you would be last on my list of Kitties Most Likely To Chew The Leaves Off The New Cat Tree, but I guess I was wrong! Oh well, I’m sure nobody cares whether those leaves are there or not.
hmmm, is it me? or do you look a little grumpy that they moved your chew toys/leaves out of reach? Too bad catnip mice don’t grow on trees, right?
Mary (Cactus Dreams & Cactus Catz)
That’s too bad, Brian! Not-real leaves are probably really bad for you!
Purrs,
The Chans
I know we would both chew the leaves too, so you aren’t alone. The cat would rip the branches right off if he could.
Gosh…….I bet even without leaves (except for the penthouse level) that new cat tree is still a fabulous spot for a snooze. Good thing you barfed those fake leaves back up though – otherwise – well – big tummy problems for sure!!
Hugs, Teddy
Oh, be careful. Even those fake leaves can make you sick! Hugs!
Brian, our old sis Olivia would salute you for a good try. But *we* know it’s not a good idea to eat the things!
I would be some dog treats, my cat bro Bert would try to eat them too.
Sorry they weren’t real leaves. Bummer. I think I would be miffed too. Sorry about Marg’s computer isn’t working right. Been there. Computers are great when they work. Hope you get your computer problems solved soon.
Oh Brian, I bet they weren’t very Tasty. But we would do the same thing. Glad you are all right.
Obviously we are back online.
Have a great day.
OMCs blah…I would imagine they had no taste but I guess once they are in the mouth you might as well
swallow them. Thank goodness your tummy sent them back up.
Hugs madi your bfff
Aww, you really didn’t eat them, did you, Brian? We’re not sure we wouldn’t have done the same thing despite being yelled at every time. Well, now that those pesky leaves aren’t so much temptation, we bet you’ll still love your tree.
Brian, there’s roughage and there’s roughage! Glad you barfed up everything and all’s well, my friend. It’s a good alert for those humans thinking about getting one of those real tree lookalikes. Over and out! – Tom
You just couldn’t resist them, could you, Brian? 🙂
Why Brian, I’m surprised you did such a thing. Thankfully your gut was smart enough to reject that fake fiber
Whoa! So YOU’RE the reason you can’t have anything good in your house. MOL! I never would have guessed it. I would have guessed one of the newbies. Cats tummies can’t handle plant fiber, especially fake plant fibers.
Your dad did the right thing by removing all the leaves except for the very top. We don’t want you getting sick. I linked you to Awww Mondays too. Why now.
Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. ♥
dood…..eye wooda done de same thing….cuzin daiz wooda two….sorree ya had ta looze de leevez but better safe N sorree …ya noe ~~~~~ 🙁
♥♥
Oh dear, Simon! Rest assured, Chili Bruce would do the same thing!
Oh no….we’re glad you barfed everything up (we hope you found a good spot to do it!).
Allie says thank you for helping her celebrate her birthday!
The Florida Furkids
I’m glad the leaves didn’t make you sick or send you to the vet. The leaves looked like a fun place to hide, but they’re not worth it if they’re too enticing and you want to chomp on them. Did you know you have a kitty on your head?
Our first contact with a climber that had fake leaves was several years. The kitty it was purchased for had pica, and I warned them he might eat the leaves. That was exactly what he did! I think there really should be a warning that comes with ithe tree. Not all cats will eat the leaves, but even one is too many.
Oh Brian, you ate the plastic leaves? Sorry you had a barf fest, but that’s purrobably bestest. The leaves purrobably wouldn’t have hurt ya’, but they couldn’t have been very tasty. We’re sure that tree is still pawsum. Glad ya’ll are enjoyin’ it. big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
Pixie would have done the same, you know. Your dad did the right thing, and we’re sure your tree is still great. Purrs
Only kinda “leaves” I would normally eat would be nip leaves. Not that I ever see any fresh nip leaves around here to chew. MOUSES!
Ooops….Rosy is good at tasting things and throwing them up too!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
Glad the leaf-eating turned out with no harm done. Thanks for the update on Marg too !
Brian, we probably would have tasted those leaves too. Glad Dad took care of that problem. Now go back to enjoying the tree.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Oh man, Brian! Don’t eat those leaves…especially if they have no flavor!
Oh, Brian, that was not a smart thing to do! However, we know full well our Samantha would be right there with you eating those leaves (and subsequently bringing them back up)!
Oh my, Brian, be careful. Good that you barfed up the fake leaves. Next time you want to nibble at something, smell it and make sure it’s edible before you eat it.
Oh, Brian, that is why we can’t have nice things. We wondered if those leaves would pose a problem.
oh Brian what were you thinking! I blame the tree for looking so tasty!!
Naughty cat, leave the tree alone. lol
Oh Brian! I’m so glad that they didn’t hurt you worse than making you barf. I bet that the tree still looks fabulous!
Oh no, Brian, those are no-no leaves. I saw Dexter suck down a strand of feather from the duster once so you’re in good company my furry friend.
Oh Brian, eating fake leaves really. Even I am not desperate enough to do that. Socks taught us all what to eat and what not to eat. Mom says we are lucky we leave her plants alone, well except for the cat mint. ~Scylla
We sometimes chew on stuff that isnt very tastey. String, Cloth mousies, cardboard.. Oh wait, thats just Iza… ~ Marley and Ayla
you know, Brian, we would probably do the same thing! a few of us here eat the carpet off of our trees (and yak it back up in strategic locations for our mom to step on in stocking feet 😀 ) we really like your new tree – it’s almost like having a Christmas tree year round. purrs,
pip, minnie, hollie, sharpie, ditto, TL
I am surprised at you Brian! I thought you were going to say it was Simon. Good job you barfed them back up. You don’t want to end up with belly ache!
The leaves are probably tastier at the top. Don’t start climbing…
Oh! We’re glad you are okay after eating those leaves, Brian! We sure hope Dad’s redecorating solves that for good!
Leaves can be very tempting, right Brian 😉 Without leaves must look like Autumn, you can have some nip to brighten everything up 😀 Pawkisses 🙂 <3
