Hello everyone, it’s my Gotcha Day and my T.G.I.F. is The Gotcha Is Fine! It’s my 7th Gotcha Day and that means I’ve been here longer that I was in my first home. Now that’s really something and it’s pretty special too. Getting here was a sad journey but I’m happy how it all turned out.
For those of you new to our blog, my first human Mom up and died on me, just gone so quick. I was in the house with her for a couple of days before anyone found out what happened. I was pretty scared. The family humans didn’t like cats so they took me to a shelter and I was put in a small cage. I’d never experienced anything like that and was so stressed I got one UTI after another and was totally sick from the stress.
Brother Brian tried his best to find me a home but nobody wanted an older kitty. I was going to be put to sleep because I was always sick and nobody wanted me. That’s when Brother Brian and the Dad decided I should come live with them. I did settle in quickly and then the introductions started. Nobody had any idea that I didn’t like other cats and it was pretty messy and loud.
So, the Dad had a talk with me and told me we would figure out a way to make it work for me and everyone else too. That’s how I ended up with my own upstairs suite. I sure am glad the Dad and Mom made it work because I’m a very happy upstairs suite kitty. I am hyperthyroid but we’re managing the best we can with my meds.
So, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Thanks for coming by to see me on my special day! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
