Hello everyone, it’s time for Tabby Tuesday with me Simon. Of course it is, but you knew that. You might not know that I’ve been climbing a lot lately, discovering new places.
Oh, right now I’m in the new tree that Brother Brian won. It doesn’t take much to climb this thing, it’s not much of a challenge at all. I can tell you what was a challenge though. The challenge was the top of the china cabinet. Oh yes, it’s darn high and there was all kind of things up there on the top. I guess you could say that was is my operative word. You see, in order to get up there with a great big leap something had to go.
Now I’ll admit, I didn’t know the things that were up there were breakable and bits of glass ended up everywhere. The Mom wasn’t overly happy and anytime I look at that cabinet she sings the Song of No. So, in order to keep out of trouble I thought I’d climb the windows. Wait, how do you climb windows? Right up those things the peeps call muntins. There’s that Song of No again. How was I supposed to know they would come out?
Anyways, now I’ve got my sights set on something more stable, the mantel above the fireplace. There’s some of those glass looking things up there too. Maybe I should just lay low for a while until that song goes away.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
You make a great adventure out of it, Simon…MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Tuesday 🙂 <3
Simon, I think your humans will have to stop having all those breakables around!
what is no? I don’t no that word :O)))
Hmmmmm… Simon. You really should pay low for a while because, otherwise, it is going to be no accompanied by your full name, and that is very, very bad!
Purrs,
The Chans
lol at least you keep them on their toes. Just don’t let any of those glass shards get in anyone’s toes, you may hear more than no then.
Simon, it sure sounds like you should lay low for awhile. You might have to go to jail and that wouldn’t be any fun. Hope you all aren’t swimming. The donkeys had a little swim yesterday. You all have a super day and Simon, Stay Down.
Sounds like Brother Simon is still a bit of a “climbing handful” LOL
Simon, we think you should lay low…at least for a day or two. 😉
Sounds like your folks like to sing that song a lot 🙂
MOL I get the song of No a lot especially when I try to get on the plant ledger in da kitchen dat does not hold plants buts has lots of Mama’s antique stuffs 😉
xoxo,
Matilda (& Matt)
Brother Simon, is your motto “Leap before you look”? 🙂
I think mom is going to have to kitty proof things. That’s what I did when I had kitties. I just let them do what they wanted. I never sang the no song. You crack me up.
Have a purrfect Tabby Tuesday. My best to your peeps and extra healing hugs for Sister Zoe. ♥
We have a new game…Simon says NO
Yikes we can only imagine the mess with the glass and your mom’s worries over a kitten getting glass in its pads. Mom broke a glass measuring cup the other it WENT every where and Mom kept telling day to keep madi out of the room.
Hugs madi
Simon, the mantel isn’t a good place either. Once a long time ago, our old sis Olivia thought a mantel jump would be fun. Well, she knocked off an antique mandolin our mom had kept there for eons, and the bowl cracked on the stone tiles below. This made our mom very sad, and we know you don’t want to do the same to your mom.
dood….we dunno if ewe will see this commint ore knot; but if ya due….GRATE JOB ~~~~~
but pleez atch out for that galzz stuffz…for sure ~~~ 🙂 ♥♥
Oh boy! Our kitty sis Sophie used to catapult from the furniture onto the window screens, not good as all the bugs come in the holes she made as a young one! Stick to the cat tree if you can.
No time like the present, Simon! If you can jump to it, then it’s YOURS! The Song Of No can be ignored…
Laying low for a day may not be a bad idea. Only for a day , though.
Oh boy, you are one busy boy, Simon! Try to stay out of trouble, at least for a while. 🙂
Simon, that is an awful lot of mischief. Some of us have gotten on top of the really tall china cabinet, but Mom has non-breakables there. A few forays to the mantel have caused some breakage through the years, but Mom doesn’t keep anything close enough that we can leap from. Looks like it definitely is time to lie low for a while. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
That must be a very popular song with the peeps as we hear it here a lot too. Along with “take it outside”:) We think you may be hearing that tune again soon if you reach the mantle:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
lol, Simon is heading for trouble. I can see it now. That cat tree looks awesome — I like that they kept the natural look of the wood.
Things would be easier if your humans didn’t have so many breakables things everywhere. Purrs
Simon, you remind me of Bear when he was a kitten. As much as the humans might not appreciate the “help” … we can’t help but admire your spunk.
First of all, I don’t see any evidence that you caused the glass to break. You did not invent gravity. Secondly, good for you to clmb glass. If you climb the Empire State Building you will be famous. Good lluck
oops……and oh my you have been a busy cat! Lily is pretty good about staying low, she does however try the kitchen counter tops from time to time but I only have to show her the spray water bottle! HAHA….Be good so that the song goes away.
MOL, the song of no! I guess that’s a common song in households with cats.
You’ve taught me a new word Simon cuz I didn’t know what muntin is either. Can you climb it pretty well then? I’m glad Dexter listened to my song of “No” about the mantle cuz he could have reached it no problem using the arm of the loveseat but there were some speakers up there and I was always afraid the tall slim one could hut a kitty. Better listen to the mom.
Oh goodness, I jumped atop a book case once and broke one of those thermometers with liquid and floaty things. It was a mess, but luckily I didn’t get hurt and I didn’t damage anything. Oddly enough, it was probably the only breakable thing in our house and I found it! You’re obviously quite the adventurous and athletic kitty. Sounds like your Mom & Dad need to Simon-proof all the climbing places until you get, oh, about 10 years older and don’t feel the need to climb to all the tall places.
HAH! Simon, I used to get on our china closet and TW would hold her breathe. She was afraid that I’d tip the whole thing over when I made the giant leap down. Our china closet is from her mother so it’s kinda fragile. Faith’s fave spot was the mantel atop the fireplace only she was really careful and never knocked anything off.
rut roh!!! Oh my Simon you are a handful! Don’t feel bad, the Dad here was taking out a bowl to heat up Dakota’s dinner….he dropped a BUNCH….there was all kinds of screaming from the Mom cause I HAD to run into the kitchen to see ALL of the broken glass EVERYWHERE (this just happened tonight!), there was glass ALL over the counter, Mom had to throw out my beloved treat dispenser, and there was glass ALL OVER the floor (that I ran through). Mom says it was a miracle I didn’t step on any. There were so many HBO… Read more »
you crack us up, Simon! we hear that no song alot too, and another ditty, “Don’t Even Think It” 😀
~sharpie, ditto
Simon, we can understand why Mom and Dad were singing that No song. They just worry for your safety because they love you so much!
You didn’t? And what happened??!?!!??!?! SIMON!!!!!!
Oh Simon, Mama sings me the Song of No all the time!!
Good luck with the mantel climb!
xoxo,
Rosy
