Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Flexible Does Not Mean Bent Out of Shape

thankful thursday blog hop brian 05032018 - Brian's Home, adopt cats, we deserve it!Hello gang, it’s time again for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, the first one in May. Can you believe it’s May already?  As you know, each and every Thursday we tell everyone about the things for which we are most thankful. We’re are always thrilled when you join us for our blog hop and we love to see our new blogger pals hopping by too. Your thankfuls always make us smile!

Today I”m thankful for peeps that are flexible, yes, flexible.  I’m also thankful that they never get all bent out of shape when an opportunity to be flexible arises.  What in the world am I talking about?  Well, I’m going to tell you, and you can probably relate.  I know you will relate if you have kitties, maybe it even applies to some doggies too.  There has even been some pretty funny kitty cartoons about it.

One of the definitions of flexible is able to be easily modified to respond to altered circumstances or conditions.  Okay, in our case I’m referring to food, yes, food.  We each have our favorite foods, right?  Right.  Then the Dad buys a whole big bunch of it and then, when we see it all stacked up, we change our minds and don’t want that one anymore.  Has that ever happened to you?

So, our peeps, being flexible, buy something else or something new, but not too much of it.  Then, of course, we love it and we don’t have enough of the new food to get through the week.  MOL!  Then, the peeps stock up on the new one, we see it, then we want the old food back again.

I’m really thankful that our peeps are so flexible, really thankful, and they just seem to go with the menu flow.  We’re all happy about that.  What about you, what are you thankful for today?  Tell me in the comments and then hop on in on our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Flexible peeps are the best kind of peeps, Brian! We, too, are thankful for peeps who are willing to do whatever needs to be done to keep us kitties happy and healthy. 🙂

Hugs!

Being flexible is important. It’s great that your peeps are flexible with your foods. We’re all pretty flexible around here, well, except my Dad….he needs to stretch before he gets out of bed or he hurts himself!

oh you kitties have them eating out of your paws!!!!!!! Cody sometimes pulls a stunt where suddenly he will act like he doesn’t like his food…then I put a few treats on top and he gobbles it all up (food and treats)…..I think he does it just to get more treats MOL!

Mom keeps me flexible. She buys 3 different kinds of food and I get a different one each day! Plus I’m still pretty young and am a bottomless pit? I eat any and everthing!

Flexibility is fun – trying out new things is good for US and for our humans too!!! I “go with the flow” most of the time but I do have my limits!! 🙂

I am trying to get Harvey to eat proper renal food but, nope, he is even fussier than you are!

Scylla, Fenris, Tuiren, YinYang & Chimera (ATCAD)

You have such nice humans, ours just tells us to be thankful we have food, although she does humor the dogs, she has to sit by Fenris to get him to eat.

Now I know I am not the only one surrounded by picky cats! Bought really expensive special food, and after three days gave 95% away to the local shelter?. Never a dull moment with cats!

Oh Brian do you have a nanny cam in our fridge. Mom currently has 4 cans of opened Purina Beyond and Fancy Feast. Earlier this week she opened all of them in hopes of tickling my taste buds…which she did now she is trying to use up what is in the fridge before opening more. Ummmmm at least she puts warm water on it before she serves it to me
Hugs madi your bfff

Brian, you should see all the food that we have in our house! Each of us wants to eat something different. It’s frustrating for the mom, but she keeps buying us the food that we want.

Yes, I can relate. You have to be flexible. Kitties like something one day and not the next. The peeps can’t let that spoil their day and they don’t. Excellent.

Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your patient and flexible peeps. ♥

This sounds like the same kind of flexibility that goes on at our house, Brian! Can you believe, though, that the main culprit is the dog? Pup Astrid wants a new kind of food every 1 to 3 days. Her food bin is filled with more variety than the kitties’! Purrs to all of you!

You kitties are lucky. Around here, it is eat it or be hungry for cats and dogs. We dogs and cat bro Bert all enjoy our foods, Sophie sometimes complains, but then does eat.

That is something to be thankful for, Brian. I’m thankful for that too. My mom is pretty flexible about my foods, too. There are several varieties of treats in my cupboard, ’cause I don’t always like the same ones everyday. There are also two brands of kibble, for the same reason. And when I don’t like any of those things, Mom will usually go to the store for something else for me. Tee hee hee. I think we lucked out in the humans department. Other humans may not be so-o flexible.

My dog is extremely picky and he has a sensitive stomach on top of it. We’ve finally found a dry food he likes and can chew with his little teeth. Only thing is we have to warm up a little wet food and mix it in or he won’t eat it. Just a little spoonfull and he’s fine. lol He’s so goofy.

I am so glad your peeps are flexible! With Labs in our family, they aren’t picky about what they eat so we haven’t experienced that one. However, they are picky about their toys… It will appear that they like one kind of toy so we’ll buy a couple of that kind. Then, that kind no longer amuses them… but a new kind does! Ha ha – You can see where this story is going! We are thankful that we are warm in our house today. There was a spring snowstorm overnight and all morning. We lost our power and our… Read more »

Really? You guys do that to your peeps? Hmmmm,…

Memories of Eric and Flynn

I can definitely relate to that, Brian. Eric and Flynn were always doing that to me so I used to stack the out of favour food in the garage for a month or so. When I brought it out again it was the tastiest food you could imagine, well for a couple of weeks anyway.

Oh yes, we can relate to this one! And we thought it was just Samantha. Flexibility is a necessity for anyone with a cat, apparently! MOL
Today we are thankful for some unexpected summer-like weather the last couple days. It was so nice, I just had to be outside, so there was no blog post today! 🙂

Your humans are very flexible! Our humans give the kitties different flavors often enough that they don’t often have a mutiny but the dogs don’t get nearly the same variety as the kitties! They do get more treats though ;p
