Once again we are thrilled to welcome you to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. As lots of you know by now, each and every Thursday we tell everyone about the things for which we are most thankful and today is no exception. We all love it when you join us for our blog hop and we love it when we see new blogger pals hopping in too. Your thankfuls always make us smile!
Today we are all thankful to be cool cats, even though we’re cool cats all of the time MOL! Today I’m talking about cool, as in air conditioning cool. Today is the first day of summer, but actually our summer started early, which really isn’t unusual in the South. It’s been stupid hot here in our neck of the woods with temperatures in the mid 90s. The heat index has been around 100° to 105°F, which is too dang hot. Let me tell you, we’re so thankful to be inside kitties where we don’t have to worry about how hot it is outside.
The Dad has been doing is best to make sure that our feral family is okay during the high temperatures. Fortunately our backyard has lots of shady areas. The Dad also makes sure that they have fresh, clean and cool water several times throughout the day. We don’t see them much during the day when it’s this hot, but once the sun goes down they show up for their evening meal and their evening bonus meal. If you care for kitties that live outside please make sure they have what they need to be comfortable, no matter the weather. Believe me, they will be most thankful for the assistance.

We could sure use air conditioning here this week! It is about 10 degrees over average this week and HUMID! We are melting! And we have been putting water out for the burds…I sure hope THAT does not upset our neighbors who do not like us feeding them.

that is nice to offer the ferals shady places and fresh water… summer can be a challenge for all pets… as much as we enjoy it, the heat could be more moderate sometimes…

We’re grateful for the a/c when it’s hot too. Though right now here it’s been cooler…and we’re grateful for that.
It rarely gets that hot here, and our house stays pretty cool most of the time, so we don’t need A/C; usually fans are enough. But we’re sure glad you have it down there, and that you take such good care of those ferals too. ♥

Brian, dear furiend, it’s hot here, too and we also saw 90 on the thermometer. Fortunately, we’ve never seen triple digits. Purrhaps this is because the Atlantic is near enough to modify our weather…. Alas, that makes it close enough to brew up hurricanes, too. But I won’t get into that. Congratulations on your AC I’m sure it does a super job of cooling your house, just as the passion vine does for cooling our catio/porch.
BTW, you’re looking very relaxed. >^.^<

We are starting a heatwave here that will go through the weekend. Hubby and I have not seen any feral cats here, but we do have lots of birds that we feed. We’ll make sure there is lots of water and food for them this weekend. We do the same thing for a different population of critters. It’s the least we can do.

We are thankful for your caring dad and others like him. It is so important to look out for those who have to otherwise fend for themselves.
It’s important we have pet parents that take care of us in this nasty heat.
Brian, we don’t have a whole house A/C, but a strategically placed window unit and fans work when the heat spikes for a few days. The ‘O’Cats have tons of shade, especially under the broad hosta leaves and cool ground. We are thankful that The Hubby keeps all of us comfortable at home!

We agree with you 100%, Brian. Being in the cool house is something for which to be so very thankful in the heat of summer. We are also so grateful that your dad cares for the ferals outdoors. They are so blessed to have him watching over them. Purrs, and happy Thursday!

Brian we are already sick and tired of summer. It started a month too early and OMCs this week has been brutal. I do so worry about the kits and pups and birdies outside in this heat. Mom keeps the bird bath full and there another container of fresh water for whomever might wander by….you know like

It’s been stupid hot here too. Gonna be 112 today. Too darn hot. We walk early for the first walk with the dog and then just do courtyard potty runs during the day and then a longer walk at night after the sun goes down. It’s too hot out there.
This is hibernating weather here. We truly feel for your feral cat family and truly commend your Dad for making sure they have cool fresh water. Personally the Mom and I start looking forward to fall the end of May… Just a few more months to go before we venture outside for any real walkies.

It is stupid hot here too. And much more humid than usual. I too am thankful for air-conditioning. I don’t know how people survived before it.
We are so very grateful for the wonderful cool air inside our home during the summer. But today it is really cool outside. If it weren’t raining, we would be loving some time on the deck.

Tell the dad what a wonderful thing he’s doing, Brian. We left that weather behind for the moment and are being rewarded with an insane amount of rain. Glad you cool cats are cool cats, daddio. I’m pretty happy a simple tower fan (well it’s got Bluetooth so not that simple) a giant ice tea and one open window is keeping me comfortable.
We are thankful we have a cooled inside ta live in, cuz it just gets too hot outside sometimes! We like ta VISIT the outside, but we sure wouldnt want ta live out there.

I’m thankful to be an indoor only kitty. I was borned in the woods, but my meowmy and daddy brought me to my Forever Home along with my three fursibs. We all got homes, but me and daddy stayed here at the best one. So I’m thankful to be a part of a wonderpurr family. And also for air conditioning.
