Welcome once again to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, we’re mighty happy you stopped by today. Hard to believe, but this is the first Thankful Thursday Blog Hop in July, the year sure is zipping by. As you know, each and every Thursday we tell everyone about the things for which we are most thankful and today I’m going to share three. We all love it when you join us for our blog hop and we love it when we see new blogger pals hopping in too. Your thankfuls always make us smile!
First, I must say most of us are thankful for our daily bonus bites. As I have told you, Sister Zoe is eating on her own but she needs to eat when she wants to eat, and that isn’t necessarily at meal time. She tells the Dad when she is hungry and Dad fixes her up a bowl of wet food. Yes, some of us are right there too, waiting for our own bowl. It would be easy for the Dad to say no, but he doesn’t, he fixes bowls for those of us who come to ask.
Second, after many extra meals I’m thankful that not all of the comfy spots are taken. I still enjoy a comfy on the ottoman, on my throne, or in one of the comfy beds we have scattered about. If you are serious about a good nap then a great comfy is very important.
Last, but certainly not least, I’m thankful that the main night (Wednesday, July 4th) for fireworks is almost over, until the next holiday. I say almost over for two reason…I post the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop on Wednesday evening so we still have to get through tonight. Then, the humans here stock up and buy lots of fireworks at one time so they will actually be setting them off though the weekend.
There ya go, those our my thankfuls for today. What are you thankful for? Tell me in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Food and comfy spots are two of the things we are thankful for too. Also, we are thankful that the ever exploding fireworks around us is not bothering us
Happy 4th of July!
Oh Yum! Extra wet food!
I like it when Komo and Jo Jo are here as they get their food at night (I get mine in the morning) and that means them and me gets 2 wet food meals! (we get crunchies all day). Oh! I am thankful they did NOT set off fireworks in our townhouse complex this year! We had NO fireworks to contend with around our house (Mom did go down to the beach to watch them there).

Your dad and mom sure do a great job taking care of all of you, Brian. There’s a whole lotta love there! 🙂
We’re not fans of the fireworks and stuff, either. We’ll be glad when everyone runs out of those noise makers.
Hugs!
Brian, dear furiend, thank you for hosting this blog hop. I’m very glad to hear that dear Zoe is eating better and you get extras, and I also agree that comfy places are very important. As per fireworks, I don’t mind them and Saphera loves them, BUT ours were just starting when thunder and lightening intervened, so we watched that light show, instead.
Purrseidon >^.^<
Man, you kitties are lucky! My human would only be giving Zoe food and the rest of you would be out of luck. She is mean (meaning stingy, not ill-tempered) with the food around here.
We are thankful you survived all the fireworks too.
It is also nice to have a little snack and find a comfy place to relax.
Yup, loys to be thankful for 🙂
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Well the 4th is over with and it’s QUIET again….in fact, there were very few fireworks around here last night which made ALL of us happy. So I’m VERY thankful for that – AND for your hosting of all the other THANKFULS around the blogosphere dear Brian!
Hugs, Teddy
Your dad takes the best care of all of you with those extra meals. I hope the fireworks weren’t too bad.
Lots of food and great spots are always a win indeed. Those dumb humans sure like to stock up.
Nice food and a comfy safe place are great! I am thankful that our old cat Jackie is still in good health and likes to cuddle with us every night!
We’re thankful the noise and loud booms weren’t too bad last night!
First thanks to the Dad last night for the help for the old lady here. Second, Brian you are looking mighty good. Hope you all have a great day with no more fireworks.
I definitely agree on being thankful for all those comfy spots around the house – Yay! I’m always thankful for the health of my son and his family, and for meeting lots of neat peeps in the blogging world. Hope your Thursday is fun, soothing and amazing! Hugs…RO
We’re thankful that all the big boomers are over now, too…but there still may be some residual ones tonight and over the weekend. That’s how humans are…..
Were really thankful the boomies have stopped. Noelle was really askeered last night.
The Florida Furkids
Lots of great thankfuls. Thank you for hosting. 🙂
You have three wonderful thankfuls this week. We didn’t have much fireworks here and we’re happy about that. Pretty quiet for the first time in many years. I’m not surprised about the dad feeding those who want feeding whenever they want fed. It’s the way we roll.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your wonderful peeps. ♥
Who could resist a sweet kitty with an “I’m hungry!” expression!
Those are great things to be thankful for, Brian!
Purrs,
The Chans
Brian, The Hubby used to feed Chucky whenever he wanted too, and Angel grew quite round during that time! Once again, I forgot about the blog hop today…I think the heat has melted my brain. I’ll make sure to join next week!
There, I’ve put a reminder into my calendar on Wednesday!
Enjoy your extra meals! We have fireworks here through the weekend too. Bailie is a wreck over it, which means Mom isn’t sleeping either. Thankfully she is the only one who is afraid.
Yes, I do,have several comfy spots tagged as mine! And our fourth was way over the board too loud.
Zoe I’m just like you…..my digestive system is happiest with many mini meals and I took will announce my desire to partake. You dad is the best to also feed others who show up at the pop of the top.
Dad said this morning he hoped the cracker nuts that live around here but were on vacay don’t return with an itch to set some off over the weekend
Hugs madi your bfff
We are all very happy and thankful that the 4th is over and hope those fireworks don’t come back tonight. We had them going off here until 3:00 a.m.!!! Misty seemed the most bothered by them, but she was OK as long as she was in the house.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We’re grateful those big boomers are over! We were up half the night and Lexy was so nervous! I didn’t do well either and I took it out on her. Paws crossed we can all sleep tonight!

Bonus meals and cozy snoozing spots are the best, aren’t they, Brian? Fireworks, they’re not the best, that’s for sure. We hope they stop going off soon!
So glad to hear all the good news. Extra food is always a nice treat.
With a house full of cats, you sure are lucky there are enough comfy spots to go around, Brian! We hope your night last night was not too noisy. We heard some booms here, but they only bothered Luke a little since they were pretty far away.
tell your Dad to go and read my facebook profile about what happened here on July 4th lol
I’m thankful we have double-glass windows and live on the 4th floor so we don’t hear many boomers. Our last governor thought it would be a good idea to legalize some of the smaller fireworks which have been illegal for many years. I guess he doesn’t want people going to your state and NC to buy them.
Bonus food is always nice for sure 🙂 We are glad main fireworks event is over!
We’re glad everyone got through the noise OK (we hope the ferals, too) and hope that’s the end of it. (We know it isn’t though, just like here!) It’s nice that food gets handed out when Zoe eats. When Caroline got particularly fussy about food, Elliott got to clean up. It’s helped him put a bit of weight on that skinny frame!
We are also thankful boomer season is coming to an end!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
I am so thankful that Sister Zoe is eating, and also earning the rest of you extra bites! I’m also thankful for your family, who is such good friends to many of us!
We’re thankful the noisy holiday is over. We had a few neighborhood idiots with loud (and illegal) fireworks, but it could have been worse. Thankfully, they’re only legal here on 4th of July and New Years.
Sounds like you have a lot of comfy spots to choose from. That’s the best! We didn’t hear any fireworks after Wednesday, which is great!
We’re Thankful that sister Zoe is eating well and having extras too and that you all made it through the fireworks and that you are looking so great in your box, Brian and that I still can post my Thankfulness even if we are late… again. Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend to all of you 🙂 <3
Hey Brian and the gang, this week we’re thankful fur cool spots out of the heat and a bumper catnip crop!
Wishing mew all a supurr week ahead
Big hugs
