Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Feral Family Food Fun

thankful thursday blog hop brian 07262018Welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop,  We are always super happy when you stop by for our Blog Hop, really happy!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and today we delighted to do that once again. We really do get excited when we see new blogger pals hopping in for the first time too and your thankfuls always make us smile!

It’s been a while since I shared our feral family with you so today I’m going to share 2 videos.  If you’ve been with us a while, like since Brother Simon and Sister Seal joined the family, you’ll remember that we always wondered where Sister Seal came from.  There were never any kitties that looked like her around here, so it was a mystery.  Maybe we’ve solved that mystery.

In the front you will see our calico girl we creatively named Cali. She’s a real sweetie and although she still runs from the Dad, she doesn’t run very far. Behind her you will see Momma Seal, at least that’s what we’ve named her. Sister Seal watches her intently and meows at her sometimes.

Here’s an additional video with a good view of Momma Seal. She actually doesn’t run from the Dad as long as he doesn’t get overly close to her.

We’re thankful to have them as a part of our family, even if they do live outside.  We’re thankful when the come to eat and when they use their shelters during bad weather.  We always worry about them when they don’t show up.   Fortunately we can watch their comings and goings on our Feral Cam.

So what are you thankful for today?  Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I guess Seal’s momma and papa are free spirits of nature. I’m glad too that they visit your home. Maybe someday they’ll retire and decide to put up permanent roots at your house. Purrs.

Brian we are thankful that with the changes you’re having with the blog your Thankful Thursday will go on because we LOVE reading all the thankfuls around the blogosphere every week! How interesting that you think you know who Sister Seal’s Mom is and she’s a visitor to your feral family buffet. I bet she knows that her little one – Seal – is safe and happy.

It’s always fun to determine when your furry friend came from. So question, do you trap and spay/neuter the ferals, and they just hang around outside?

Each one of us at Wonderpurr.com (except for my little brofur Rabbit) came from the neighborhood Cat Colony. A few of us still feel a bit of feral in our blood, especially when the doorbell rings and strangers enter our house. Mom has cared for over 70 strays, many of them feral. Ferals are her specialty. She says there is no greater high than to win the trust of a feral, especially one who has held out for two years before allowing her to get close enough to pet. We at Wonderpurr.com think yoo are wonderpurr!

This is so wonderful to watch the ferals, Brian and I think they are already a part of you <3 Pawkisses for a wonderful Thursday 🙂 <3

We just love getting to know your feral family better. It makes us so happy to see them getting a nice meal and having somewhere safe to go. We’re so grateful you ensure that for them. Thank you for being so kind, caring, and compassionate! My dad’s helping me build a new and improved stray/feral cat shelter for my back yard, and I am so excited to have it finished for the kitties who come and go out there. Thank you for hosting this wonderful blog hop each week!

We just loved seeing the ferals in the videos. Momma Seal is beautiful – she sure has a full coat. And Cali has such a pretty face. You are so good to take such good care of them. Maybe one day they will let you touch them.

They are lucky to have the lives they have chosen, watched over by you!
The feral mom and daughter who lived on my deck for 12 years are gone now. I miss them, but I don’t miss the constant worry about them – especially during Connecticut Winters.

Hi!
Sorry for the post we shared on the hop. I thought it was for a different blog hop, as it wasn’t really appropriate for Thankful Thursday. We are just getting back into blogging, and it may take a bit for us to sort which blog hops happen on which days/blogs.
