Sad – Pingo and Polo will be Put to Sleep
It’s Sister Saturday and I’m here right on time too. Not to worry, my eye is much better now but it hurt for a while and I was all squinty in my left eye and it was a bit red too. Fortunately the Dad helped me out.
Oh, what happened? Remember Tabby Tuesday with Brother Simon and those big paws of his? Well, that’s pretty much what happened, one of those big paws got me. We play together lots and it just was a slip of the paw. Brother Simon felt really bad about it to but it really wasn’t on purpose. The Dad has some eye drops in his Kitty Emergency Kit and after about three doses of those eye drops my eye cleared up and is all better.
I happen to be the only one here now without front claws. Someone stole them from me way before I came to live here, so I won’t be scratching anyone anytime soon. Declawing is evil and I sure do miss mine. It doesn’t stop me from having a good time, I scratch on the scratching posts and scratcher boxes just like everyone else, and sometimes I scratch on the furniture too, but I never hear No Dolly, so that’s a plus.
Anyways, I hope you all have a most wonderful Saturday and I’ll be seeing you all soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
I bet Simon felt really bad for snagging you with his paw, Dolly. I’m glad you are better now.
No Dolly is a win at least, must make the others jealous haha Sometimes a slip can happen, but fun is the best. Glad the eye healed quick.
Oh Dolly, glad your eye is better now. So sorry they took your claws away, that is the people that had you before. You all have a great day. I think the sun is coming out.
Oh dear, we just read Pingo and Polo’s story and hope and pray they find a home. Glad your eye’s all better. Dad just told me that he and his gaggle of siblings fought often, many times fiercely, and he would claim that injuries weren’t on purpose. I’d believe him if it weren’t for that evil glare in his eye.
Glad your eye is better. Enjoy your weekend.
Dolly, consider yourself hugged and smooched! I too believe your former peeps shouldn’t have taken your claws, and you are such a sweetheart! Bet your dad has quite an emergency kit!!!
I am glad your eye is better again, and I know Simon wouldn’t have done it on purpose.
We’re glad your eye is feeling better now, Dolly. We know that Simon did not mean to hurt you.
Poor you and poor Simon. But we are glad you are feeling better, But we are so sad about Pingo and Polo. Life is just so unfair sometimes.
Purrs,
The Chans
I hope those two kitties find a forever home. Prayers in progress.
Sorry about your eye, but accidents happen. I’m glad dad knew what to do.
Have a purrfect day. My best to your peeps. ♥
I don’t think there can be enough said about declawing, I remember moving many years ago and they all said your kitty must be declawed to move in. I can’t remember how I first learn how evil it was but I’m glad it’s out there. What a prepared dad, Dolly, I’m happy the squinty eye cleared up and you’re ready for round 2. Ding.
Grrr. Declawing cats. Thanks for the post.
Dolly I feel your pain…I’ve had to ouchy eyes in the past that require eye drops….which mom dreaded but OMCs I didn’t even move when she put them in my eye or act like I felt anything. MOL
We are so sorry about the kitties……..fate,
Hugs Madi and mom
My daughter adopted an adult cat, that was about to be put to sleep. Her owner died, and she has issues that make her difficult. (All stemming from being declawed) Poor thing will likely have arthritis in her paws when she gets older.
Rough-housing does lead to injuries sometimes! We’re glad yours is healing up well, Dolly. We bet Simon will be more careful in the future though. 🙂
I’m glad your eye is better.
Hey Dolly. We are glad that your eye is feeling much now. Dad will always make sure you are ok. Simon probably feels bad about it, but you two can now get back to playing again. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend.
We’re glad your eye is getting better. Purrs
Sorry you got hurt 🙁 I just saw the top of the p[post that says those poor kitties will be put to sleep. I wish I was closer so I could save them.
We are glad to hear that your eye is doing just fine, Sister Dolly. And we have no doubt that the words No Dolly are never heard around your place:)

Oh Dolly we are all glad you are feeling better!
We know Simon didn’t mean to get you with his paw, Dolly. We’re glad your eye is doing better.
I’m so glad that your eye is feeling better. We have a similar emergency kit, and it has helped out many eyes over the years!
Whoa! Glad the eye is better. Didn’t Brian get you once too or was it another sister?
Dolly, I bet Simon won’t do it again. With all the wrestling that has been happening between Ninja and me we were getting a little excited and — well BOTH of us have been blinking sore eyes…
