Hello everyone, it’s me Simon on Tabby Tuesday once again. Trust me, I’m glad to be here today. Do you hear that? Neither do I, there isn’t much noise going on here. We are all kind of used to having some noise going on in the house but it’s been way too quiet ever since that nasty lightening hit us last Thursday.
The Dad usually has several televisions on, even though he doesn’t watch much television they are on mostly for the noise factor. We don’t have any TV service yet either so we’re all hearing things we’ve never heard before now. There’s all kind of strange noises, most of which seem to be coming from the neighbors. The Dad said it’s lawn stuff and that the one neighbor has been trimming his hedges forever. I’m not a big fan of mower humans and that’s what it sounds like to me so I’ve had to hide from those strange sounds.
I do hope that normal gets here soon before we all forget just what normal sounds like. Thanks for hanging in there with us while we are having difficulty visiting you. Hey, what are HBO words? The Dad said that’s what they are and he has been using plenty of them trying to get things done via a cellular connection.
I’ll be seeing you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
the mama does the same like your daddy, the tv is there to keep her company no matter what channel or show ;O) we hope Mr. Normal knock on your door soon and the noises will be back asap ;O)
I hope everything is fixed soon!
My Mum luffs have the TeeVees on fur the noise factor, Dad luffs the quiet…makes fur sum interesting HBO words around here, hehe!
Loves and licky kisses

The quiet sure can be strange indeed. I think we’ve heard those HBO words plenty of times.
Gosh, we so hope things get fixed really soon. We have all our paws crossed for you to get those repairs done soon.
You all have really had to wait a long time for Normal to come by and see you.
It must be very weird not having all the sounds you’re used to hearing…..hopefully everything will be BACK to normal (or what passes for normal…haha) very soon. All that QUIET can be DEAFENING (tee hee).
Love, Teddy
“Strange Mower Humans” can be frightening to cats:)
Simon, please do not worry about HBO words; they are a thing specific to humans, and kitties don’t need them in their repertoire. Although, the other day when Da Boyz broke into the neutral zone and Angel went face-to-face with them (thru the screen door), I am SURE some cat HBO words may have been used…
Poor guy. We have those scary noises here, too. In fact, Tuesday is the day they come–push mowers, riding mowers, grass trimmers. But what we really don’t like is those noisy blowers!
P.S. Our mom is fluent in HBO words.
You remind me of those scary films – “It’s quiet. Too quiet,” just before something petrifying happens! Hope all is nice and noisy again soon.
We went a whole week once and it was pretty awful. I hope you get things back up and running. There’s nothing wrong with normal.
I linked you to Happy Tuesday because your dad may not make it to our house today.
Have a purrfect day all you wonderful kitties. My best to your peeps. ♥
Whoa! I can’t even imagine the noise the thunder that came with the lightning that hit your house made. We’ve had some close strikes and the noise is very scary. Amazingly enough I didn’t hear no HBO words when the peeps’ internet went out and they were trying to program the new router. Hope you get tv service soon. There would be HBO words if TW couldn’t watch the Yankees’ games.
What a mess. I sure hope the A/C is working, that would be super important.
Looks like that lightning strike sure did a lot of damage. Hope you and everyone are doing well and everything will be back to normal for you in the near future. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day and tell the neighbor to keep it down. Lol.
BOL MOL our Mama would be using the HBO words too if her had to blog from her phone. We are saying pawrayers efuryfing gets up and running soon.
xoxo,
Matt & Matilda
MMMmmm..HBO words and strange sounds. Might I suggest a little vacation for you all? – Tom x
We sure hope things get noisier(and back to normal) for you soon!!
xoxo,
Arty, Jakey & Rosy
So sorry you are all still playing the waiting game. At least it is interesting to be able to hear some new sounds.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We hope things get back to normal very soon ! Purrs
We hope the normal arrives soon too.
Poor Dad! We sure hope you get your normal noises back soon, Simon!
The Sound of Silence! We need to have more of that at our house…who knew 4 cats and a dog could make so much noise!

If we depended on cellular, we’d be sunk. Hopefully, you’ll all be up and running soon.
I hope you soon get your normal back again.
We hope your electricity gets turned on soon and you can have your normal life back again.
Simon, about a week or so ago, we lost power at our house for about 24 hours and the quiet was deafening! So we know what you’re meowing about.
Simon, I hope normal will return soon.
My dad also loves the background noise of the TV while my mom could easily live without a TV. But, if my mom has to be without a computer for one hour, she’ll be climbing the walls.
The only time I have the tv on is for a couple of hours in the evening. Hope everything gets fixed for you soon.
Yowza! I’m reminded of the hurricane that wiped out our power for a week back in 2007, I think. Be well! And thank you for the kind word on my blog. I’m very blessed that only one hornet got me. Venom coursing through my veins and antihistamines set me back a pace today, but I think part of my problem was just the excuse to lie in bed. Heh…
I sure hope that your power comes back soon! I’m doing the cellular thing too, and I hate it! I adore your eyes, Simon! You are a handsome dude, Simon!
One of our neighbors has their lawn work done by what we call the Extremely Noisy Lawn Care Company.
Mowers, blowers, pool equipment…plenty of noisy stuff around here too and it’s annoying. Hopefully you’ll have your t.v. background noise again soon.
HBO words, ha, well Simon, that might mean patience is thin and getting thinner (unlike me). It’s weird when the noise stops, maybe some music, Dexter used to like classic rock and blues.
That must be frustrating to still be without.
Dang, we’re sorry you’re still doing things via cellular! We sure hope stuff gets fixed soon.
guyz….we hope ta cod itz fixed bee for foot ballz starts ore they will hafta deel with de wrath oh precious !! 🙂 ♥♥
The silence is probably nice, but the no internet part isn’t!
Hey Simon…we’re just so glad ya’ll are okay. Sissy doesn’t like mower humans either. We’re so glad ya’ll are gonna get back to normal. Big hugs
Luvs ya’
