It’s Tabby Tuesday with me Simon, really, it’s Tabby Tuesday. Did you here that beeping noise? Did you? I sure did and it scared the heck out of me. I ran, I hid, I peeked around the cat tree. The Dad and the Mom were sound asleep. How could the sleep with that beeping noise?
Anyways, you might find this hard to believe, but I play a lot during the night and I explore a lot too. Even though Sister Seal and I have lived inside for two years now, there’s still always something that needs discovering, if ya know what I mean. I’m just an explorer type of guy.
Some places I’m not supposed to go, can you believe that? Well, you probably can but because I’m not supposed to go there those places can be most interesting. One of those places if behind the TV thingy. Let me tell you, it’s hard to get back there and it takes a little bit of work and creativity. I had to ponder on it for a bit but I did manage to wiggle my way back there.
Guess what’s back there? There’s a black box with a whole bunch of cord things plugged into it. Nah, it wasn’t overly exciting but I checked it out anyways. Actually, it was pretty boring back there. I was on my way out and I stepped on that black box on my way out. I guess I should say I stepped on a button on that black box and it started yelling at me, beep, beep , beep. I sure hightailed it out of there and with my big tail it was a sight to see.
So how was I to know that controlled the power to everything. All I did was stop on that button, which turns out to be some kind of magic button. I sure am glad the Dad knew what happened and was able to fix it pretty quickly so I didn’t get in trouble. I don’t think I’ll go back there again any time soon.
Have a fun Tuesday everyone and happy exploring! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
oh wow you found THE magic button that is interesting… can you draw a walk-through or an instruction sheet for us please?
haha those magic buttons sure need to have better labels
Simon, you are such a character. But you do keep everyone entertained. You all have a great day.
You kitties are always stepping on trouble. Mine like to step on Mom’s keyboard and she gets pretty upset about that.
OMG – this is too funny, and I actually felt as if I was right there exploring the magic too!(lol) Hugs…and Happy Tuesday! RO
Well, that wasn’t your fault, Simon. You’re just being a cat…exploring everything.
You were not to know, Simon, so we find you entirely innocent of any wrongdoing.
Purrs,
The Chans
Simon, my mom is REALLY laughing hard at this one. I have no idea what her problem is but she sure has one!
Simon, please don’t lose your sense of curiosity! It certainly keeps us all entertained out here in blog-land; not sure how it feels for your humans tho…
As the saying goes, “Forbidden fruit is the sweetest.” 🙂
Simon, do you know what this means? Do you? It means I’m gonna go exploring in back of our tv if I can figure out how to get there and see if we have one of those magic buttons.
Simon, you are a little imp! But you know what? We have the same kind of tangle behind the place where our TV is, and Caroline managed to get back there and unplug stuff! Only there was no beeping involved, so our mom didn’t have a clue as to what happened. (It’s a very tiny opening to a very tiny space and Mom had no idea Caroline had squirmed her way into it.)
Oh the buttons. The off button the airplane mode. Buttons everywhere. I’m glad you didn’t get in trouble.
Have a purrfect day. My best to your wonderful peeps. ♥
Simon…..my word things that go beep and bump in the night are scary especially when the house is quiet.
Live and learn good buddy
Hugs madi your bfff
That was a fun adventure wasn’t it Simon?
Exploring is fun, Simon! We have to keep the humans on their toes!
Never a dull moment when the Simon is around:) Maybe Dad can rig up some sort of contraption to hide that box from your big paws:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
MOL ! You couldn’t know that button was magic as it wasn’t labelled as a Magic Button, right ? Purrs
MOL…I think I have something to explore here at my house now…MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Tuesday 🙂 <3
You are a busy boy Simon. That is funny that it beeped.
* Tears of laughter * COUGH COUGH erm Sorry to hear about this Simon…..
Good job your dad knew what to do, Simon.
We both know you will be going back there. You are going to have to go to see if it happens again. It is what cats do.
How rude! Beeping at you?!? I hope you taught that black box a lesson, Simon.
Oh my Simon, we don’t know what you stepped on, but Mama can’t stop laughing…You are one talented kitty to always know what button you need to swat or step on!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Simon, what about sleeping at night like everybody else in your family? It might be less stressful for you, too.
Simon, you always keep us entertained by the adventures you are always having. Now you were able to find the magic button. Great reading about your exploring at night time while everyone sleeps. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day.
I guess you could call that the beeping button! Although your human might call it the “bleeping” button. 😉
Oh Brother Simon!!! You are soo lucky you have an understanding (and patient!) Daddy!!! xoxo
We sure hope we don’t have a magic button hiding anywhere here. Years ago before Jan put an upside down plastic basket over the top of the UPS, one of us (we won’t tattle) used to step on the power button on the way off the desk and the computer would go dead.
We sure are glad Dad knew how to fix that thing, Simon!
Simon…you are a one-cat wrecking crew, but trust us, we love to explore and totally understand. The expression of surprise on your face in this photo is priceless. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
UHOH………well, at least you know how to cause a big panic in the house again if you need to ! HAHAHA
Hugs, Teddy
Of all the buttons in the world, you had to step on the one that would beep, Simon! Well, you can’t just leave any place unexplored, so now you know you don’t want to return to that one! 🙂
Oh nose MOL glad your Dad knew exactly how to fix it 😉
xoxo,
Matilda (& Matt)
Simon, that must have been scary. Once the smoke alarm thingy went off when Sampson and Delilah were home alone, and it scared poor Sampson half to death. It took him a very long time before beeps didn’t bother him.
I’m glad the Dad knew exactly what to do!
You have magic buttons over there, too? Gotta watch out for those.
There’s one of those boxes with cords at my house too, Simon. But Mom and Dad aren’t so diligent as your papa, as they’ve left them out in the open. I figure, if there’s a button than it’s meant to be pushed. I push Dad’s alarm clock button all the time. Tee hee hee. Don’t worry about the beeping on the box, it is all bark and no bite . . . I think. . . . Winks.
Hey Simon…Y, That sounds terrifyin’. I’s sure glad you didn’t get hurt. We’ve got some things ‘found here that do a lot of beepin’ too. Mommy tells us to just ignore them. But sometimes that’s hard to do. Stay safe and have fun. Big hugs
Luvs ya’

Oh, beepy noises are the worst. I don’t like them at all.
Haha, we have a robot vacuum and sometimes Sparrow sits on it in the middle of the night and it starts to beep. She’s deaf so it’s all the same to her, but I’M NOT.
hello brother simon its dennis the vizsla dog hay hmm wel it sownds to me like that button shud be big and red with a do not press sine on it dont yoo think??? of korse that wood mayk the button eeven mor intresting!!! ha ha ok bye
