Welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, we are so happy you stopped by today, We always do look forward to Thankful Thursday so we can see all of the wonderful things you are thankful for, it makes us smile. Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful too. We really do get excited when we see new blogger pals hopping in to join us!
Today I’m most thankful for playtime, yes, playtime. I’ll admit it, as a ten year old Mancat I just don’t play all that much. Mostly I’m pretty content to watch the young ones enjoy playing with just about everything. Well, this week was a little bit different and I had a fun romp at playtime. Brother Simon and Sister Seal weren’t quite sure what to think, they’ve never seen me playing around before.
It all started with evening playtime when Brother Simon and Sister Seal usually chase the heck out of the red dot. For some reason they seem to be focused on something else and were totally ignoring the red dot. This Mancat pounced into action, seriously pounced too, and I was jumping around and chasing that red dot everywhere. Did I catch it? Not really, but I don’t mind telling you I had a really fun time trying. I don’t know if I’ll do it again any time soon, but I just might.
Today I’m thankful that I’m not too old to enjoy playtime. The old saying that you’re only as old as you feel must be true because I sure had a lot of young pouncing going on. It made me smile, actually everyone here was smiling.
What are you thankful for today? Tell me in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
you are never too old for play time! My guys have no interest in the red dot!
Brian, Caroline (*way* older than you, but don’t tell) LOVES the red dot. She will actually go in circles! We’re glad you had fun with yours.
I love watching my Lily Bit (1 yr) and my KING (11) play. It is so much fun but even more fun watching Lily play on her own. We play hide and seek together and she loves for me to play chase with her…I chase her! I am thankful for my furbabes and the laughs they give me.
Hi Brian, Kozmo and Ninja tell me that Queen Penelope was really active and LOVED to play right up to the last year of her life–even if she did not play as often! Glas to hear that you still love the red dot! And I must say, you don’t look that old!

I am glad you are still enjoying playtime. I know you are going to catch that darn light someday
We love that you caught that play like crazy bug, Brian! Our Gracie is 17 years old, and she still gets that every now and again, too. 🙂
I myself am 10. I can’t believe it. One minute I was slurpin back a nipitini and the next minute I’m using a nip poltice for overstraining myself. It’s hard to believe. You, my dear friend, are doing awesome. These youngins’ need a lesson in how us wiser cats play. Kill it!!

Go Brian!!

Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Your enjoyment of playtime will keep you young! We like rattly mice, milk rings, and tossed kibbles.
Binga is almost 18 and she still has a lot of playful moments. Although sometimes she cheats.
oh we bet it is true and we can be as young as a spring flower furever and ever …
You’re never too old for playtime ! We’re glad to hear you had so much fun ! Purrs
Brian, it does a body good to let the kitten inside you out for a while 🙂

I’m with you Brian – playing is such GREAT exercise and even though I don’t have “siblings” to chase, Mom and Dad are fun partners in chase and hide and seek games!
Hugs, Teddy
Can’t be at a good play time at any age, plus confusing the young ones must be fun too.
Brian, so glad you are still having such a good time. That red dot is the most fun.You all have a really fun day.
You are never to old to play, Brian! Flynn loved to play catch and also to bunny kick his mousies.
Meowser, I love playtime, too, but haven’t chased the red dot for a long, long time…. I also admit that I do pay close attention to that red dot, purrticularly the one on the front of the camera…. one of these days, I’ll figure out a plan and get that dot!…. Unless you get it first, Brian.
BTW, thank you for hosting this hop, Brian.
Good Morning We love the thought of you POUNCING! Today we are celebrating National Book Lovers Day. We are thankful for the books in our human’s life. One of our missions is GUARDING the books as you will see…however there is a huge toss up as to WHO is the guardian…
Brian, I still play but not as I used to. All I usually love but for a shorter time. XX.
I am grateful for friends like you who don’t go away. I look forward to you every day. *smooch*

Brian WTG showing the youngsters how to do red dot polka!!
I bet you could run circles around the red dot and the youngsters. But I’m with you conserve your energy
Hugs madi your bfff
That made us smile reading about it! We’re glad you still have some fun playing to do, Brian. I wish I could get Sam to play a little bit!
We think those youngsters are helping you feel young again, Brian.
Brian, I bet your humans were excited to see you having fun and getting some exercise. Sometimes Mom can even get Mau and Misty May to play, and they are almost 14. We don’t see the red dot anymore as Mom is afraid it might cause Sawyer to have a seizure. We are thankful that Misty May was willing to snuggle with Sawyer. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
You are never too old for playtime! Especially with little catnip boost!
Our cat bro Bert is probably 12 or 13 and he loves to play. It is a shame he can’t have toys because he eats them. He does love being played with when Mom has the time to do that.
Kittehs are never too old for playtime, if they want to. <3
Brian, I have been unable to engage Angel in any play recently! I will up my game, and try and try and try until I find something that she will chase after. Thanks for hosting this hop!
Playtime is fun. You don’t do it as much as when you were younger, but the peeps loves to see it from time to time. We so remember.
I’m thankful that you host Thankful Thursday each week.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your wonderful peeps. ♥
Here at Poupounette Central, I, Queen Tama, LOVE to chase the red dot!
Purrs,

Lightning totally agrees with you, Brian. He doesn’t play as much any more, but he sure can surprise Mom when he gets a good romp going on.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Glad to hear you had some fun with the red dot!
Our Tyler, who is either 15 or 19, depending on which of his records you look at, is the most playful of the 3 cats!
Playtime is always fun. Glad to hear you had a good time.
at 15 I still enjoy play time, so I am thankful for that; even if the toys
don’t seem to hear me when I tell them not to go hiding under the
sofa or chair ~~~~~~~ hugs from dai$y =^..*= ♥♥
I’m thankful that I looked in my spam folder and found your recent comments! MOL. They’ve been approved!
You’re 10 years young and still full of fun, Brian!
I have a big smile on my face just picturing you pouncing on that red dot!
That is the most wonderful thing to be thankful for! I love the vision of you pouncing around, Brian. It makes me smile. Our black dog is the same age as you, and he’s been playing too! My heart gives thanks for both of you.
It’s wonderful you had so much fun chasing the red dot! You are never too old to pounce around 🙂
It’s wonderful that you had some spontaneous fun chasing the red dot. Hopefully, none of us will ever be too old to enjoy a bit of playtime.
You’re never too old to play. This week I’ve been a dud. It’s not like me not to play but it’s been way hot and even with the ac I still feel it.
Stopping by on Friday because I forgot yesterday!
Our 10-year-old mancat Harley rarely plays either. But I’ve seen him bat a toy mouse around once or twice when he thinks no one is watching!

We have to agree playtime is wonderful @ any age!!! I myself still love to play, and like you I’m very thankful for my pawrents who work so hard to keep me healthy and happy. Maybe I’m most thankful for my Mom and Dad. Our folks go out of their way to take care of us so, they might be the key to all the blessings in our lives.
You’re definitely never too old to play. Our Barry is five and though he was never that playful, he can be at times. Oh and I (human) still love to play at 32.
Aaaaaaaaaaaw How sweet Brian. Mommy says t’s always fun to watch the older kitties play. Have fun. Big hugs
Luv ya’
