Mancat Monday: Winding Down September

mancat monday brian 09242018Hello all, I hope you all are in store for a good week, thanks for stopping by on Mancat Monday. Well, here we go, Fall is here and now we’re in the last week of September. It’s hard to believe we’re moving into Holiday Season soon. The last three months of the year sure are filled with quite a few holidays.

YIKES! Before we know it Halloween will be here. Those mini-humans will be knocking on our door looking for treats. That can be pretty scary. Oh, not the treats, the knocks on the door. I know I told you this before but I really used to like Halloween and would sit close to the door so I could see all of the fun costumes. Then it happened. There was a knock at the door, the Mom opened it, and there stood an alien. Oh my goodness, an alien. Boy did I take off on a run and hide mission. I’ve not liked Halloween every since, or knocks on the door.

While I’m thinking of it, several of you keep mentioning the safe space of under the bed. I wish! If you’re new to our blog…we do not have an under the bed option. Why? I kept hiding under there at medicine time, that’s why. The Dad was a bit frustrated so he removed the bed frame and now the bed pretty much sits directly on the floor. Dang! I ofter wonder what happend to my cherished dust bunnies.

Oh well, I’ll hide somewhere when the door knocks happen later this month. Y’all have a great Monday and a fun week. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Oh no, no UTB?! Maybe you can hide in a closet? The Mom has a bed frame that rolls, so even when Lita went under there, she could get her out relatively easily. Before the rolling frame, though, the mom would get frustrated trying to get Lita out from UTB, too, MOL.

Stay safe, Brian! If you wants, mes will come hide with yous!

Those dust bunnies are squashed. Poor things. No under the bed stinks indeed, especially with aliens soon about.

Lucky for us, Mom takes us all upstairs to hide in the bedroom on Halloween. She is tired of the doorbell ringing, and us howling at the monsters in the street. We are happy for fall and the cooler weather though.

That would be very scary Brian to have an Alien at your door. Hope that doesn’t happen again this year. We hope you have found a new hiding place. You all have a great day.

Grabby fisted little humans always scare me and they come here, too. I’m sad to see September go. It’s one of my favorite months, Brian. Hope you find a place to hide! – Tom x

I’m visiting from Awww Mondays. Frankly, I can’t believe it’s the end of September and it’s autumn again, either. I’m not complaining as this is my favorite time of the year and if I’m honest I secretly wished for it all summer long. I like fall but I don’t like winter but I can’t have one without the other. Thankfully, we live in East Tennessee where things don’t get super terrible like my northern friends experience. We don’t do the Halloween thing, except buy candy to eat ourselves. Why give it to the mini-humans when we can eat it? Actually,… Read more »

Fall is falling alright Brian………and you are right – soon the aliens will be at our door wanting CANDY! Last year which was my first Halloween here – I was rather fascinated by all the little people coming to see ME until I realized they weren’t here to see ME they wanted FOOD. Oh well……I guess I have something in common with them after all since I’m always looking for food too!

Dad know how not to hurt himself trying to get you out from under the bed. I’m guessing you can find a place to hide from all the trick or treat little ones this year. You’ve plenty of time to look.

Have a purrfect Mancat Monday. My best to your peeps. ♥

An alien… like the ones with the big white heads and long black oval eyes? I hear ya, that’s kinda scary! 🙂

Brian! We did the same thing; put all beds directly on the floor, so no kitties could hide underneath. So Angel hides under the dresser, or in the corner of the bathroom under the clawfoot tub. We can reach her in those locations! Da Boyz haven’t tried to hide from anything yet, which makes us humans giggle sometimes. Since we don’t have children, and don’t eat candy, we don’t celebrate Halloween much, except it’s at a Halloween party that The Hubby and I began dating…now, that’s SCARY!

This is the first mention of the holiday season, and you’re right, it will be here before we know it.
Now that the upstairs is available (frowns), is there a place upstairs where you could hide from the Halloween trickiness?

Uh oh…. I hope our mom doesn’t get the same idea about the bed after reading this. That’s where I hide when it’s medicine time.

Some of my collies, Ryder and Abby, enjoy the trick-or-treaters, the others don’t like the constant knocking on the door. So I put them and our kitty, Pumpkin, in my bedroom and put a movie on. My daughter moved out two weeks ago, so this will be my first Halloween alone, ever. But I think I’m teaching a class that night anyway, by the time I get home it should all be over.

We think an alien might make us all run and hide too, Brian. We have to stay behind the big gate when all those little ghosts and gremlins come, but they do peek inside and admire us from a distance.

Happy Monday.

We’d freak out if an alien came to our door too! We’re sure you’ll find a safe place to hide, Brian…just be sure to leave room for anyone else that might need it too! 🙂

ACCKKKK! Holiday season already?! Oh dear. I hope you find a new place to hide when those little beggars come calling later in October. Just between us….in the closet….behind the clothes is a good place. 🙂

Perhaps your dad will leave a closet door ajar for you when Halloween arrives.

Awww, so sorry you had that traumatic experience Brian. Buster still loves to stand by the stairs landing which fronts the door and see all the kiddies and not so kiddie come ask for treats. Sometimes the tiny toddler are more interested in seeing Buster than getting the treats.

We can hardly believe it’s almost October, Brian. YOu could come over here when the little humans and aliens stop by. We have space UTB!

Hopefully, nobody too scary will come this Holloween. We live in an old people neighborhood so we don’t get trick-or-treaters. When we did, Chris and Frankie were right there ready to run out the door.

Memories of Eric and Flynn

Autumn has arrived! It was only 34F this morning. That is much colder than normal for this time of the year. I suppose it is compensating for the unusually high temperatures in the summer. At least the rain has gone and the sun is back.

We like Fall as it is a bit cooler and not so sticky.
We are lucky as we do not get little people.
We are just outside the city where homes are spaced out more.
Also, there is a trailer park down the road 😉
Still, there are those fireworks that tend to go off :/

Brian, our mom’s bed used to be on floor too, when she had a box spring and mattress. Needless to say it was useless to us! Then she got a wood frame when she got her memory foam bed. But do you know what? We’re not allowed in her bedroom anymore! Tell us, does that seem fair?

The dust bunnies probably ran and hid behind the dresser, that’s where i find a lot of them. In fact, they like behind any furniture that is flush to the floor.

Also they love behind a TV. It’s electromagnetic back there i’ve been told and it draws them.

Maybe you could get behind the couch?

We hide, too, Brian, but we hide under the covers. Our Mom and Dad could have a hundred blankets on the bed and we’d still find a way to hide under them all. So, no, we’re not Halloween trickster fans either.

I really look forward to the holidays! The Human is in an extra good mood (especially this year I bet, since she retired and all!) and by November it is starting to get pretty cold. We never get trick or treaters. Sigh–I think it might be fun to hiss at them!

Will the big humans be dressing you guys up or giving you treats? Wouldn’t it be fun to get a treat or toy every time the doorbell rang?

Door bells and knocks on the door will get our guy hiding as well. Hiding at med time is always a challenge. Have a snuggly day! It;s raining here.

We always leave the house during “trick or treat” time. There are too many many kids going around who are too old to be doing that.

Cathy Keisha

Whoa! Your Halloween story is almost as scary as mine. I used to greet all the brats at the door until one year some older kids came. There was a party on our floor and those kids started running and screaming through the halls. At one point TW thought I got scared and ran out since she couldn’t find me. For the next few years, she didn’t sign up for tricksters. BTW, tell Simon I have some ping pong balls to send him. We used to have a table in our gym but someone broke it and they never replaced… Read more »
