It sure is hard to believe it’s Tabby Tuesday again, seems like I just did this. Oh well, I’m always happy to be here and I’m always happy to see you. I do like hanging around on the back of the recliner, it’s very comfy.
Oh, yea, the booms. I’m not afraid of them. I know, I know, the peeps sometimes call me a weenie, but I’m not, well, sort of not. But the booms don’t scare me. What booms? I thought you’d never ask. Fireworks. Yes, seriously, fire works. Just because it’s a holiday that ends in the letter Y those goofy humans here think they have to set off fireworks. At least they didn’t last too long this time.
Okay, now about that weenie thing. Really, I’m only afraid of the mowing humans, other things don’t seem to bother me. When I lived outside they must have really scared me because if the mowing humans are mowing anywhere within ear shot I’m hiding. All the other noises don’t seem to bother me.
So, since it’s not noisy at the moment I think I’ll catch a snooze and I’ll catch y’all later.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
booms for Labor day too? humans are crazy… why they blow moneeh in the air instead to do something good with it? and even when they would do good things for themselves, it would be better than to send moneeh to the sky…
Fireworks? For Labor Day? I’m glad there’s nothing crazy like that here!
You are clearly a very brave boy, Simon!
Purrs,
The Chans
We just look up and then go back to sleep. Humans are a nuisance with their booms though. The lawn mower does sound nasty.
Those booms are pretty darn scary. Luckily we didn’t have any here. You do look mighty comfy on that sofa Simon. You all have a great day.
Our idiot neighbors had to do Fireworks Fri, Sat, and Sun night. Bailie is terrified. The rest of us don’t care. We do wish they were still illegal in our state.
The mowing “stranger” humans are not a fan here either. Nor is the “family” vacuuming human:) LOL
We thought you were talking about thunder boomies, Simon. Those kinda scare us.
Your Tabby looks Happy and ready to help you stay Happy. Have a Happy Tuesday!!!
🙂
My cat hates fireworks. We have to draw the curtains and increase the volume on the TV as loud as we can bear it so she can’t hear them. Seems to work!
What scares me the most is the Tstorms when they are so loud the house and windows shake.
Just a few fireworks don’t disturb me either. We heard one last night I didn’t even bat an eye
Hugs madi your bfff
Our Little Bit hated fireworks too. I think it’s just fine to be afraid of them.
Have a purrfect Tabby Tuesday, Simon. My best to our peeps. ♥
Glad you found a safe spot inside away from the mowing humans. You are smart to steer clear of those mowers. Don’t worry about the weenie thing…..everyone is afraid of something.
You are soooo adorable ~ my doggie doesn’t like the noise from fireworks ~ so she sits on my lap swaddled in her blanket and sometimes even goes to sleep ~ ^_^
Happy Day to you,
A ShutterBug Explores
We’re lucky that our stupid neighbors did not set off fireworks this weekend. None of us did well on July 4th, including our mom. You’re so brave!
Thankfully, we didn’t have anyone having fireworks nearby. One of my boys get really scared while the other doesn’t care much. Enjoy your snooze, Simon 🙂
The only boomies here were from the storms!
The Florida Furkids
We thought we heard some of those boomers here too. Misty doesn’t like them, but she is OK as long as she is inside. The big thunderstorms make all of us a lot more nervous.
Have a good week.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Very cute photo of you, Brother Simon!
Our kitties don’t like lawn mowing either.
Happy Tabby Tuesday. Hugs and nose kisses
Yes, sometimes those booms are scary to hear. You are really a brave boy with those fireworks. Now those humans with the lawnmowers will be over soon when the weather changes to the fall season. Thanks for sharing your bravery with us today, Simon. Have a wonderful rest of your week.
Fireworks on Labor Day? Guess some humans just like lots of noise and don’t care about scaring animals for no reason.
We never heard of fireworks for Labor Day.
We heard some booms on Labor Day weekend too, but luckily they were pretty far off in the distance. We’re glad you’re not scared off too much, Simon, it’s no fun to be scared and have to hide!
Too many days have boomies! I am glad they didn’t frighten you though.
Terrorists live everywhere! Inside, the vacuum … outside, the mower … you can’t get away from that evility no matter how hard you try (or how amazingly cute you are!).
Yeah, we had the big boom parade here in our neighborhood for Labor Day, too. And we learned a few more words we usually don’t hear from our mom. She only hopes people won’t start celebrating each weekend with fireworks. By the way, we have a law here against fireworks.
Hey Simon, I’s don’t scare either. We’re really brave. I’s like the back of the chair too. Your eyes sure look purretty today. Big hugs
Luvs ya’
Raena and Dezi
You had fireworks? Well, I’m glad they don’t scare you then!
You are a brave cat. The booming really bothers us. We are going to take bravery lessons from you.
We heard some firework booms last night too. I guess some people had leftovers from the 4th.
I think for your sake they should cement over the yard. They can pave paradise and put in a catio.
Yikes. Fireworks on Labor Day? That’s just crazy, Simon!
I cannot believe that people set off fireworks for Labor Day!?! Who does that? Don’t worry – mowing season will be over soon. And your humans won’t let anyone hurt you… I hate to think of you being scared by a mowing human back when you lived outdoors. Everything is better now.
dood…they waz shootin em off heer two…we noe thingz haz been funkee round
heer but whoa…..we dinna think we sleeped kleer thru til joo lie 2019 ~~ 🙂 ♥
Yoo are braver than me, I’m afwaid of stwange hoomons, and the vacuum monster, and the doorbell ringing, and … I think that’s enough. I need to go take a nap now.
Purrs, Dori
You’re so brave, Simon ! Purrs
There certainly were less booms this holiday than previously, Simon. And not much lawn-mowing either, ’cause it’s been too hot and then too rainy.
WOW! Simon you are brave…Even the doorbell will send me UTB!
Purrs
Marv
We thought you meant thunder boomers! But yeah, fireworks too. But yesserday, a thunderboomer AND the bright flash arrived at the same time (so suddenly even TBT jumped), and the computer, the TV, and the lights went off at the same time. Fortunately, they came right back on again.
I’m glad the booms don’t scare you, Simon…they would scare me 😀 Extra Pawkiss for the bravery 🙂 <3
I get all out of shape over mowing humans too!
That fireworks thing just kills me. People act like 1 year old babies!
