Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: A Time for Fireplaces and Warm Snuggles

thankful thrusday blog hop brian 11012018Welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, we are always happy to see you! Today it’s time for us to post about things we are thankful for, and I really am thankful today for things that come with the cooler season. We sure do look forward to reading about all of the things you are thankful for too and we sure love it when we see new blogger pals hopping in to join us!

Although you really can’t tell from this photo, the fireplace is on and it makes me very happy, a warm and wonderful happy.  You can probably tell how much I am enjoying the warm.  It sure feels good and my throne is right in front of the fireplace.  It really doesn’t get much better than that.  As it gets cooler in the South we all look forward to Snuggle Season.  Oh, we don’t like the cooler to cold part but we sure do enjoy the warming part.

Since I’m feeling better I’ve been enjoying happy times on the big bed once again.  The Mom has the softest blankies on the bed and they are just right for a mid-afternoon nap.  Yesterday there were four of us on the bed, me, Sisters Zoe and Dolly along with Brother Simon.  Then, last night there were three of us on the big bed at bedtime.  Picture this…Sister Dolly and Sister Zoe were each on a bottom corner of the big bed and I was up at the top part of the bed between the pillows right in the center.  We formed a purrfect triangle.  The Dad said we were The Purrmuda Triangle and that would explain why toys go missing never to be seen again!

I hope you all are having a mighty fine Thursday.  What are you thankful for today?  Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

    Purrmuda Triangle…MOL!!
The thing we like about cooler times is when mum turns the furnace on and the warm air blows.
It is almost as good as cuddling 🙂

I wish we had a working fireplace here! That’s the problem with southern California – the earthquakes always ruin the fireplaces and make them inoperable.

  3. messymimi

No fireplace here, the cats gather in front of the space heater. Works for us!

Purrmuda Triange! Heeheehee, i’ll have to remember that one.

Purmuda triangle 🙂 I love it. I wish we had a fireplace, even an electric one would make it seem cozier.

  5. The B Team

HAHA on the Purrmuda Triangle!!!! Sure looks like a lot of available cozy spots for snoozing there…..Brian you look like you’re REALLY enjoying that scratcher bed. Happy THANKFUL Thursday pals.

    Love, Teddy

Brian, dear furiend, thank you for hosting this blog hop. I”m very glad to hear that you’re feeling better and you surely do look happy… boxes are amazing, so one by the fireplace must be exceptional. I don’t have a fireplace and if they’re warm don’t think I need one… our highs are still in the mid-80s, which is warm enough for me.

Good morning handsome Brian… I’m thankful for your sweet face and for your kind comment on my header.
The photo was taken about 3 or 4 years ago at Leadmine Lake about 3 blocks from my house. I’ve often thought about using it as a header but I needed the right background…I found it on Pizap

I love the fireplace too. Ours doesn’t burn real wood because it’s gas. I live in California. They will let you poop in the streets of San Francisco, but you better not burn real wood. Go figure.

The Purrmuda Triangle. I laughed out loud. Make sure you tell the dad I think he’s funny.

Thanks for having a Thankful Thursday blog hop each week. It’s good to be thankful.

Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. ♥

We love snuggle season too. In fact st this very minute I should be showering but hate to disturb the sleeping cat on my lap 😻

You sure look cozy. I am enjoying the cooler weather myself, although I don’t have the fireplace going yet. I’m not sure how you feel about this, but I’d rather be cold and use blankets and sweaters to warm up, than be hot. I do not like being hot.

I’m so glad you have this Thankful Thursday hop, I must remember to join it!! I have a gratitude page on Facebook and I know finding the positive has really helped.

    Have a great day!!

  12. Kitties Blue

That was a good one…the Purrmuda Triangle. Mom and Dad have been enjoying the company of five to six of us each night since the temperatures have cooled off. They would be thankful, however, if we wouldn’t sleep east to west. MOL. You look so super content, Brian. We wish we would get the chance to make one of those triangles here:) We bet you all enjoy the warm fires in your home. We are very grateful we have heat when we need it and a/c in the summer. But then again, we do love the snow.

I missed the link up party yesterday. 🙁 I can completely see why you’re thankful for the big bed! Instead of a 3-dog night to keep warm, you all have 4-kitty nights! I also love sitting by the fireplace, all cozy in a warm blanket. Add a good book and a glass of wine and it’s almost perfect! Hope your weekend is a good one.

  17. The Menagerie Mom

Oh, I just love that you all have so many cozy places to sleep in front of the fireplace! We don’t have a fireplace, but on cold nights we use space heaters in a very similar way. This time of year is our favorite, when it’s cool and purrfect for cozy nights cuddled up inside. Purrs to all of you!

  18. Marv

Purrmuda Triangle — That sure made Mom laugh! And I LOVE sleeping on the MY Bed! I do let Mom sleep there at night though! And I can’t wait for Mom to turn our fire place on.
    Happy Thankful Thursday!

  19. Jan K

Your parents have given you such a warm and cozy home, Brian, and don’t you look purr-fectly content in that photo! Haha, Purrmuda Triangle – we love that!

  20. Fraidy Cats!

mol at Purrmuda Triangle 😀 Our mom is happy that it is cool enough here for hot cocoa and a three or four kitty blanket at least in the mornings, but it is not quite cold enough for our warm air blowy machine to come on (at least the cold air blowy machine is off too!) purrs,

Oh Brian, we’re so glad you’re feelin’ better. We luv cuddle time and gettin’ snuggles with mommy. And we luv bed time with the soft covers. Enjoy your nap with the fireplace. It’s still too hot here fur that, but mommy says it’s comin’. Big hugs

    Luv ya’
