I’m sure happy that you joined us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop today, we are always thrilled to see you! So, it’s time for us to post about things we are thankful for and We always look forward to reading about all of the things you are thankful for too. We sure love it when we see new blogger pals hopping in to join us!
Today were most thankful for Paramedics, EMTs and First Responders. We were always thankful for the good things they do, but today we’re really thankful for them. Sunday evening the Dad started not feeling well and it wasn’t getting better. The Dad was having some pressure in his chest and some numbness in his right arm. Since the Dad had a stent put in several years ago, messing with anything to do with the heart is not an option.
The Mom called 9-1-1. The First Responders were at our house in about 2 minutes, we could here them coming. The Paramedics hooked the Dad up to some monitoring equipment quick like. In just a few more minutes the EMTs arrived and the ambulance was here. The house was full of strange humans dressed up in all kind of funny gear. It was sure pretty scary.
They took the Dad out on a stretcher and took him to a hospital place with 24/7 heart care. That hospital is about 30 minutes away and then the Mom left too. When they got to the hospital the Doctor and Nurses were waiting for the Dad and the tests started immediately, no waiting. Within minutes the Dad had an EKG done, blood work done and a chest x-ray done.
All of those tests were okay so they determined that the Dad did not have a heart attack. That’s good. Of course they couldn’t say that he wouldn’t have one. So, on Tuesday the Dad went to take a Nuclear Medicine Stress Test and today he is going to a Cardiologist to see about the results of his test.
I wanted to mention that so in case we miss posting for some reason y’all will know something must be going on. Poor Brother Simon and Sister Seal were in full panic mode with all of the introoders in the house and they didn’t come out for at least 24 hours.
We’re sure thankful for the quick response though and that things are okay so far. What are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I sure hope Dad Terry passes all his tests. That sure is scary. It makes you appreciate how precious life is that it can be taken away so fast. Lucky for your dad, he’s still here and will stay for a long time. Sending healing purrz.
OMC what a scare! Thank goodness the dad turned out to be ok but you never can tell with those symptoms. Thank heavens Sister Seal and Brother Simon are out of UTB now. It would be terrifying to have all those introoders with funny furs running through your house.

We are very happy that your dad was seen quickly and received the best care. We will be saying lots of prayers for him
We’re thankful your dad’s okay, too. The heart is precious. The housekeeper knows all about stress tests and stents (which I think would make great cat toys from what she told me they look like…just sayin’) – Tom x
How scary! We are thankful for those medical professionals, and that your dad is doing okay. He’s the best, and we hope those tests come back good.
We are praying that all the tests are OK. Terry, you are in my prayers.

We are so relieved your Dad is ok and praying after all the tests everything will come back really ok. We are thankful for so many things but one is your blog hop, and the other the firefighters and rescue organizations who are helping with the terrible fires in California.
We’re glad the emergency turned out to be not critical. Hopefully all the tests give good results and your Dad will be posting on your blog every day for a very long time!
Oh, no! That was very scary for all of you! That may not have been a “heart attack”, but it was obviously something that nobody wants to have happening. We hope they can quickly identify the problem and fix it. Best wishes for your Dad and all of you!
Oh my gosh…I am thankful for the fact that dad was not having a heart attack. I hope it is not an issue with the test results. So glad you guys were there to look over dad till the medical crew got there. Keep us posted.

We did a Thankful Thursday post today but didn’t link up because it is also a Chewy review. We are waiting to hear from the Chewy team to see if it is OK for us to link up to a blog hop while doing a review.
All the best to your Dad (and Mom too).

What a scare! I hope your dad will be OK and everything will turn out for the best. I wish him a quick recovery.
Oh no, that is so scary! We are also thankful that help got there quickly, and that Dad is OK. We hope that continues. My sister had a similar scary incident recently, but she does not have a history of heart disease. They are still trying to figure things out with her. So we know how scary and worrisome this can be. We will be thinking of Dad and all of you! ♥
Praying The Dad is okay and that all will be well.
Purrayers for your Dad, Brian !
OMC, we are thankful for the folks who took good care of your dad, Brian! We hope today’s test went OK and that he is better now. How scary for you all!
I’m sorry Dad had to go through that. Remind him that cats have special healing powers, and to spend as much time with them as possible for a complete recovery.
We are super thankful Dad Terry is okay. That really had to be scary for him and all of you. We are thankful that mom’s friend from high school, who lost everything in the “Camp” fire, is okay and so is her dog. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
Ooo, that sounds scary Brian! I shall keep the Dad in prayer, as well as the Mom. I know she has to be beside herself with worry. I’m glad the first responders got there quickly!
I’m surprised Brian didn’t point out that for most of us there’s no need to test our stress, it’s just fine, thanks… feel better!
Brian, I am sure glad I backed up here to see this. Mom went after favorite brother and he has some issues that need her attention, so we missed this. SO grateful all went well. I wonder if a heart cath will be mentioned? Sure tells it all. An echocardiogram does as well.
XX to all of you.
Oh gosh, how scary! Glad that your dad is doing okay and I hope the test results come back with good results.
How scary! We hope your dad is okay now.
Oh my. That does sound very scary and disturbing. I’m relieved Dad checked out okay. We all need to remember what a precious gift life is and cherish it always. Yes, all first responders are godsends. And, are probably not thanked nearly enough. I hope all is well for the coming week.
Oh, how frightening that must have been for all of you. But we are beyond grateful that Dad Terry is doing well now, and for the wonderful work all first responders do. Sending prayers and well wishes!
I’m just catching up after a vacation trip. What a scare for everybody! I hope all the tests came out OK and that the Dad is feeling better. Yes, thank goodness we have such wonderful care and advances in medicine every day.
With very best wishes,
Maggie, Mickey Mouser, and Rufus the Red
