Hello there, it’s me Zoe and I’m here for Sister Saturday. Actually I’m glad to be here since I do have some news to report. Before I tell you about it I did want to say that I hope the big winter storm Harper isn’t messing with you this weekend. It looks some parts of the U.S. are in for a heck of a mess. Enough of Winter, let’s just move on to blooming season.
Anyways, last week I had to make a trip to see my Internal Medicine Vet, Dr. V., she likes me lots and I like her too, she takes good care of me. It was my 6 month check up. As you may remember, I’ve had all kind of troubles, two big furballs cut out of my tummy, diabetes and CKD, so it’s important to keep on top of things. Every 6 months I have to have blood work done and have my blood pressure checked.
Well, the blood work results came back and all was good, really darn good. My glucose numbers are purrfect and I’ve been in remission from diabetes since September. My CKD numbers were stable, meaning they were the same as before. I’m still in early Stage 2 CKD and have been at that level for going on 6 years now. I had my first ever Senior panel and all was in the normal range. Oh, my blood pressure was purrfect too and I’m maintaining my weight.
All in all it was a really good report, I’m happy, Dr. V. was happy and the Mom and the Dad were happy too. So, I’ll go back in 6 more months for another check up. I’ve been ripping and running and playing too, so all is good. I hope you all have a super fun Saturday and I’ll see you soon.

We just love a great report like that one, Sister Zoe – keep up the good work!!! And kudos to your Mom and Dad for all the great care they give you. That big storm went through here pretty quickly. Not much snow, but enough ice to make for some treacherous driving. And then came the frigid blast of cold!!! It is bitter out there, but we love being out – at least for a little bit:)

Oh Zoe that is such good news! I’m sure your papa and momma are relieved to know that you have been doing so well the past 6 months. I have to go in at least 2x a year to the V-E-T, too. I don’t have diabetes or CKD, but I do have PKD, seasonal allergies, and pesky gums. We are brave kitties to endure V-E-T visits, aren’t we?! Hugs.
