Once again I’m most happy to say welcome to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, we are always super thrilled to see you! Today it’s time for us to post about things we are thankful for and today is certainly no exception. We always look forward to reading about all of the things you are thankful for too and we sure love it when we see new blogger pals hopping in to join us!

Oh yea, about that dental thing. As most of you probably remember, back last October I had to have half of my teeth removed due to resorption. What you probably don’t know is I’ve had to go back to my Dental Vet for monthly check-ups. On the bottom left side of my mouth I had several teeth removed. On the left top of my mouth there is a few left up there. One of those top teeth was punching into the lower gum due to some swelling. My Dental Vet has the Dad giving me an oral treatment twice daily. The hope is that it will promote healing so I don’t have to have another surgery to correct the “hot spot” where my upper tooth was rubbing my lower gum.
Finally, a decent report. While each visit it looked a bit better, the healing looks 50% better than my previous visit. So, we’re all very thankful that the oral treatment seems to be working and as of now I don’t have to have another dental surgery. Of course that could change, but you know me, I’m choosing to be optimistic about the whole thing. I’m sure thankful that my Dental Vet has taken such good care of me during this process.

Oh Brian, you poor kitty. It’s sad that you’ve been having trouble with your mouth healing so slowly. I know you have a positive outlook, but I wish you didn’t have to have to go through all that. Paws crossed that your gum heals up the rest of the way really quickly. That bed from Speedy looks so comfy. I hope you don’t have to share it as often as you have to share your favorite scratcher-throne.

I’m happy you had a good follow-up appointment. Dental surgery is no fun and requires a lot of specials do and don’t dos. DH has had his share of them over the past ten years, so I know what you’re dealing with. I like your optimistic point of view. That’s far better than being a grumpy cat about it. 🙂

Dental care is so important for all creatures. The surgery still makes us cringe. Hope your gum keeps healing as we don’t want you to have any more surgery.

Resorption is not fun, I had a cat who also lost most of her teeth to it by the time she was 10. Waah. I wonder why this doesn’t happen to humans.
