Mancat Monday: Cataract Day for the Dad

Love, Brian

Hey everyone, it’s Mancat Monday and the today is the day that the Dad is having a cataract removed from his right eye. He has a cataract on his left eye too but he’ll get that one removed some time later. So, we won’t be around visiting with you today and I’m not too sure about tomorrow. We’ll be around to visit all of you just as soon as we can. Right now we’re all focused on taking care of the Dad. Tomorrow, Tuesday, he has to go early for a follow up visit at the Doctor’s office.

The Dad won’t fit in a PTU (Prisoner Transport Unit) so the Mom will stuff him in the big metal box on wheels and tote him off for his surgery. The Dad couldn’t have anything to eat after midnight last night so all of us gathered around our food bowls and had a midnight snack for the Dad. Hey, it’s the least we could do.

That’s my short and sweet Mancat Monday post for today. I hope you all have a really terrific Monday and we’ll be seeing you just as soon as we can. A special thanks to Ann from Zoolatry for my eyemazing graphic today. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Paws crossed all goes well for your dad. I’m sure it will. I’ve heard my gramma had that done a long time ago and it worked out just fine. Take good care of him.

Best of luck to your dad! It should go smoothly, paws crossed. We know it’s very common, but still, we’d be freaked out (so would our own human)! We wish him a quick recovery!

    Brian,

Well, I hope your pops is doing okay from his cataract surgery. I’d imagine he won’t feel up to blogging today but I’m certain he’ll bound back quickly, especially after he’s able to get vittles in him later today. 🙂 Sending healing thoughts and prayers that way. Take care of your dad now! 😉

Nothing to this surgery. Do the drops. All million of them. You’ll be amazed at all you’ve been missing tomorrow morning when they take the patch off. I chuckled about the mom and the big box with tires. I’m doing the same thing tomorrow for hubby. It’s colonoscopy day for him. Oh the joys of aging.

I’m sure your dad’s surgery went well but I’m sending healing purrz. TW doesn’t remember the not eating part. Her’s were done a month apart. I hope he got the good drugs like TW did, not like the one’s Pop got. The best part is taking the bandage off and yelling “I can see!”

Saying prayers for your dad. Tell him not to wait too long for the second surgery. Mom waited a year and to get her second one done. It has been hard reading the small print for a year

I’m digging the googly eye glasses, Brian. Tell dad I wish him the best and quickest recovery. I’m still waiting for my cataracts to get bad enough to remove. I can just see you guys trying to stuff him in a large carrier.
