Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: It Was Sun While It Lasted

thankful thursday blog hop brian 02282019

Hello everyone, it’s time once again for our Thankful Thursday Blog and I’m ready to go. It’s hard to believe it’s the last day of February already! Anyways, as you know, each and every Thursday we post about things we are thankful for, and while sometimes things seem difficult with all the sadness in the Blogosphere, we look for the thankfuls. We really do enjoy reading about all of the things you are thankful for too and we get excited when we see new blogger pals hopping in to join us!

Here in the South we’ve had 13 days in a row with rain and cloudy, yucky weather. Then, the sun came out for 3 days in a row. Oh my, the sunpuddles were glorious and we all enjoyed basking in the warmth of the sun. Then it wasn’t. The rains and the clouds are back and there is even supposed to be some Brrrrr Humbug temperatures here next week.

Oh well, I’m super thankful we had some wonderful sunshine for a while, I know it will return and I’ll be thankful when that happens too. As I mentioned in my intro, there’s been a lot of sadness in our Blogosphere lately and I’m very thankful that we can be there to support others in their time of sadness as they’ve been there for us in the past.

What are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Gee, clouds and rain, but warm weather? I will take that over the snow and cold we have been getting for the last month and a half. Plus the weather guessers say it will be really cold over the weekend.

  2. messymimi

It’s been alternating cloudy then sunny then warm then cold. Oh, well, i want the not so hot to last a bit longer.

Right now i am thankful that the mechanic will let us use the loaner vehicle tomorrow so we can get the Land Yacht fixed again.

You must live near us because that’s the exact same weather we had! So many flowers are already blooming and next week is going to be possibly in the teens!

We are thankful for the sunshine too. Our yard is so wet now we can’t walk in it. But we are thankful we can go walk in town, if Miss Tammy feels like walking. And we are thankful for Miss Tammy because Mommy can’t walk two dogs at one time, so we couldn’t walk in town without her.

Oh no, cloudy and rainy AGAIN? Sorry Brian, it’s that way here too. We’re with you on the thankfuls today, so many folks have been so supportive this month with all the sad news. What a great community we are a part of, I am so thankful for all of them.

We’ve had “brrrr” weather all winter, minus gazillion temps, more snow than we ever wanted, freezing rain, ice, etc. It’s been a lousy winter, weather-wise! However, we have sunshine (!!!) today, which is GLORIOUS, in spite of the cold. We hope your sunshine will return soon, to stay longer than 3 days. 🙂

It’s rained here a lot too. I live in a desert so it’s all good, but I do miss the sun when it hides for days on end.

Yes there has been a lot of sadness of late, but we’re hoping it’s smooth sailing for a bit.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. ♥

You know Brian, yours and my weather is exactly the same. We had 3 days too…and yesterday, we went, well, mom, her DIL and the baby, to the Museum of Appalachia. All the peacocks, lambs, everyone was out in the fields, even a buffalo and we happily walked everywhere in the suns. Now they and we will all have rain starting this cloudy day. We too will have that bah humbug weather starting Monday with possible snow.

  10. Purrseidon

Hmmmmmm….. We have only had one day with rain + 2 days with sprinkles in the past 2 weeks…. Obviously you live in a much more desirable place.

Normally I am a look for the happy sort of person, however it seems lately that has become so hard for me. I know it will take time to get through the things I am facing but I am thankful for my blogland friends and the upbeat love they bring to my life. Thank you to all Dad and Moms sweet kitties. You are all adorable and you bring smiles to my face, thankful for those smiles.

I am thankful for the blogosphere, everyone is so supportive especially in times of loss. Thank you for hosting. I hope you get more sun soon. XO

I was looking out the window for sun in the exact same way. We had ONE day of sun this week and now it’s snowing again this morning. We’re plummeting into the deep freeze over the weekend with a low on Sunday in the negative range….with more snow. Of course, in a few months, we’ll be complaining how hot it is outside! 🙂 So, maybe we should be thankful for what we have?!

  14. Diane D

Oh boy, that is a lot of rain. We had snow last night and more for Sat and Sunday so I’ll offer up a trade LOL

We too have had a lot of wetness here. Of course, we love the snow form. Our snow is about gone now, but maybe more this weekend. And yes, the bitter temps are back and will even get worse. But Mom says we have to be thankful that we are almost at March and then Spring. Huh??? We want to keep our snow:)

Hi Bwian! It’s me Dori *wavy paws* I’m thankful because we had a beautiful week with sun puddles on the floor. We live in Elvis’ backyard so our weather has been pretty soggy here. However spring is coming, so … Yay!

  18. Jan K

Yes, we certainly know how that is! We are thankful for the sunshine we have today, and that it was just warm enough to get out for a walk!

  19. World Of Animals, Inc.

We think that the first two months of this year has gone by so quickly. Hopefully, the sun will be shining more for you soon. Those rainy days can be very lazy times. Thanks for the share. We are thankful for that tomorrow is Friday. Have a great day.

  20. Sweet Purrfections

We know what you mean about the glorious sun puddles the last few days! The only problem is the pollen now! Stay warm this week when the weather turns colder. Mom Paula said to tell your humans that she is going to be in Greenville next week.

  21. Sailor Edgar

Well, Brian, our overnight low for this coming Sunday/Monday night is supposed to be 9°F, and the lows for the next two nights are supposed to be 6° and 7°. Would you like to trade our weather for yours? 🙂

  22. Angel Foley Monster, Pocket and River Song

When the sun comes out after resting for a few days her rays are always warmer.

  23. Kitties Blue

Brian, this is a super adorable photo of you. The weather is crazy pants everywhere, and it is starting to wear on us as well. We are supposed to have a couple of nights in the teens this coming week. At least progress is being made on our house addition, which is our thankful.. Your South almost sounds like our SoCal south. We’ve had lots of rain and clouds, too. It’ll be back again this weekend. But I think we may have more sun breaks than you. Which we’re thankful for as well!

  25. Cathy Keisha

I’d be so thankful to see the sun when the temps are above freezing. If it’s sunny, it means the wind chill is single digits. We’re expecting 4-9 inches of snow between now and Monday.

  26. Bell Fur Zoo

We were also fankful fur da sun puddles dis week. It are looking gloomy here already today and I fink we are gonna gets more rain buts atleast dat will help all da flowers grow right….
