Hello everyone, it’s hard to believe but it’s already time for the last Mancat Monday post for April. My goodness, at this fast pace it will be time to put the Christmas Tree up, but I would totally be okay with seeing the Tree come out. I know, I know, I shouldn’t rush the season but I’m not the one doing it, at least I don’t think I am.
Hey, I have 3 ends of odds for today. First, I sure had a busy Sunday, or maybe I should say I had a busy Sunday morning. I spent lots of lap fluffing time with the Mom. Then, I got my claws clipped up nice and short. If you happen to be new to my blog I’m happy to get my claws trimmed and I purr the whole time. I know some kitties think that’s weird but I don’t like poking holes in my Mom’s legs when I’m fluffing her up. I also got my SubQ Fluids out of the way early, yes, that’s a weekly thing because of my idiopathic cystitis. I, fortunately, was able to resume the normal napping schedule later in the afternoon.
Secondly, the Dad has been doing some trimming on the bushes out front by our front window. They had grown up way too much. Now that the are trimmed back we can all see out the front windows much better now. We can see everything and it really is interesting. Brother Simon and I now spend a lot more time looking out the front windows.
Last, but certainly not least, the ferals have been back on somewhat of a regular basis. After they were gone for so long the Dad cut way back on the amount of food he puts out. Now that they are back he started putting out more food again. Guess what? They quit coming to eat again. After several days the Dad cut back on the food. Guess what? They came back again and ran out of food. I think they’re messing with the Dad a bit.

oh the mama would be happy if we would purr while we get a pawdicure… but we do other things so this job is always for the vet LOL
Takes two to do our claws lol not so nice about it. A good view is a win. The ferals sure are having some fun with him.
First of all, we would like to say that we think you look super handsome (and mancatly) in today’s photo!
WEealso have no problem getting our claws cut. #1 got us used to it when we were small and so we sit there and purr, just like you.

That is such a good picture of you Brian. What a good boy to let the Mom trim your nails.That is strange about the ferals, but maybe they just don’t eat as much since they aren’t used to eating a lot all at once. You all have a great day.

Such a good kitty to sit still while getting a clawicure. Bridget is good about that too. I’ve clipped her claws her whole life. Since she’s “fully loaded,” she can’t go too long without having it done regularly. Hope your week is wonderful.

Merry Christmas in April, Brian! It’s fun to see all those trees in your Amazon ad. I think Pop gave up on the idea of a fake tree. Brian, you’ve got to be the most handsome cat the the CB. Those ferals are messing up a good thing.

Lots of interesting tidbits. I don’t mind getting my claws trimmed, but I don’t purr. It’s nice to have the bushes trimmed back so you have a better view. My folks did a major bushwacking of the front yard last year. Instead of being able to see just 8 feet to the bushes, now I can see all the way across the street! Maybe the ferals just need a medium amount of food. 🙂
The only one who gets a pawdicure around here is Angel, who’s used to it since she was a kitten. Da Boyz fuss and struggle, and The Hubby doesn’t want them to get mad at him, so he doesn’t trim their nails. Of course, The ‘O’ Cats need their claws, so I just have to be a pin cushion!
We are happy to read about all the ends and odds. We have some advice for those ferals – don’t mess with the hand that feeds you:)

It sounds like a good day you had. I have no claws (Dad wishes I still did) but my brofurs and sisfur Hate getting clipped. What is your calm secret. Those Ferals are just eating somewhere else I bet. Depending where they stop first if they are full they hold off on your house. Maybe or could be they find a lot of mice on off days. They are feral after all and any feral will take prey over plate any day

Yep, i am with you, I think the ferals are messing with Dad. I have been back at my home from my moms for over a month and today was only the second time I have seen Trixie (the feral). She came around meow loudly so I fed her. Usually she don’t eat but I think that is cause she eats at several homes (just my guess) however today she seemed to be really hungry. It is important to have a clear view of outside so you can keep it quiet and orderly.
As we go outside, we never get a pawdicure, the apple tree is in charge of our claws, MOL ! Purrs
