Hello everyone, it’s Mancat Monday and it’s time for Monday Night Football. Hey Dad, get us some popcorn ready for the big game tonight please! MOL and April Fools!!! I know, I know, it won’t all be happening until September. Actually it sort of felt a bit like football weather here yesterday though.
Anywho, shortly after St. Patrick’s Day I saw a St. Patrick’s Day photo over at my friend Jeanna’s blog, The Ched Curtain and a young one hand on a Steelers jacket. When I left a comment I said Go Steelers! Well, Jeanna wanted to know if I was really a Steelers fan and if I’d wear a Steelers cap. I don’t really have a Steelers cap but I do have a Steelers hat from a few seasons back and I have my Steelers boogie mat.
We do like the Steelers and the Mom and Dad grew up about 60 miles south of Pittsburgh so the Steelers were their local pro team. Of course the Dad says that was the good old days. The Mom and Dad even had a red-eye flight one time from Miami to Pittsburgh with the famous wide receiver Lynn Swan. They said he was a very nice human and even in the wee hours of the morning he was smiling. He wasn’t playing football then, he was playing color announcer.
So they you have it Jeanna! Have a fun April Fool’s Day everyone, see ya soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
happy furst aprils day to you all!!!
Happy April Fool’s Day, Brian!

Happy April Fools, the hat sure works fine, even if the season is over.

I guess you weren’t fooling about the Steelers. 🙂
Happy April Fool’s Day! Watch out for those tricksters.
That is one great hat, Brian. And a Happy April Fools day. Have a good one.
Brian…you look super good!
Oh Brian there has been hours and hours of basketball here for the last two weekends…NCAA
We are sorry Duke is out but glad that those in it have never gotten this far. Time for some new blood
Hugs Cecilia
HA! Feels like football weather here too……….I kind of forget about April Fool’s Day when it rolls around. My Mom says she remembers in her school days how everyone really enjoyed playing tricks on each other. Maybe I should be GLAD she’s forgotten about it now???
Hugs, Teddy
Brian,
DH was a huge Steelers fan in the days of Terry Bradshaw. We still root for them from time to time depending on who they’re up against. These days we don’t a particular team that are nuts-o about but we do enjoy watching the games.
I hope y’all will find time to check out my Little Mermaid Art Sketch series beginning with ARIEL on Curious as a Cathy!!
Happy A2Zing!!
We do miss football for 9 months a year, but we like spring more. You look cute in the hat.
Whew, what a relief – I was worried I had my seasons wrong! Happy day Brian!
You definitely look different in that hat! 🙂
You look very handsome with the hat, Brian! We would have believed your April fool’s joke as we have no knowledge about football 😀
Being a die-hard KC Chief’s fan, I can relate to your team luv. I always thought Bill Cowher was an exceptional coach. I secretly wished KC would recruit him away from the Steelers! BTW…that hat looks good on you. 🙂
It seems everyone is trickster today, MOL.
Happy April Fool’s Day, Brian ! Purrs
I thought it was time for baseball? Have fun everyday!
Very nice hat Brian.
My sister and hubby live south of Pittsburgh, and they are huge Steelers fans/Penguins/Pirates fans. I’ve never met anyone famous, just spied a few from a distance. Well, except when I got hugged by David Duchovny from “The X-Files” for a photo op, and I couldn’t even stammer a word in severe stage fright!
We live near the Steelers so that is really neat to know the pawrents did too Brian.
Thanks for a great April Fool!

You almost had us going there for a minute, we had to stop and think about that! 🙂
We had figure skating weather here this morning! Brrr! Anyway, happy April Fool’s Day, all. Glad no one played a trick on you concerning food or mealtimes!
You look great in that hat, Brian. Mom doesn’t like football, she wishes the NCAA basketball lasted lots more weeks.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
haha…..I only pulled two April Fools jokes today. One here on the blog and then one at work but my whole heart was not in it. I did pull it off though. haha.
That is the best Steeler hat I have ever seen
That’s a good one! I’ve never been a football fan. I’m a NASCAR girl all the way!
Happy Fools Day Brian – Our Day likes the Philadelphia Eagles best as that’s where he’s from.
We think you look pawesome in your Steelers hat Brian!
Happy April!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
WOW, Lynn Swan, perhaps one of the greatest Steelers to play the game, Brian? Every time I think you can’t get any cooler you up your game. I think I told you I they got on my radar when I started playing Fantasy Football and one Steeler after another caught my eye. There was the Bus, Willie Parker, Alan Faneca, James Harrison, Hines Ward and of course Troy Polamalu, whew what a list (let’s not forget Bill Cowher). I’m pretty sure the expression, “Ched Curtain” came from the amazing Steel Curtain (of course I was but a wee lass in… Read more »
You look adorable in your Steelers cap. And here I thought you might like a cat team. Locally the college has the Wildcats team. And I’ve seen panthers, cougars, tigers, etc. I wonder why there isn’t a team called The Tabbies. I bet you could run pretty fast if someone was chasing you.
The only feetsball team we care about is the Packers.
Whoa! Every cat should have a sports’ team and you know mine is the Yankees. Cool hat!
It is cool enough to be football weather here, too. Hope you didn’t get fooled today!
Ha!!! Mom lived in Pittsburgh from age 2 to age 7!!! Mom loves the Steelers (when they aren’t playing the Browns)………and she went to a Browns/Steelers game IN Pittsburgh when she was living in Cleveland. Confused yet? lol
Happy April Fool’s Day!
You look very cute Brian. Mommy says she used to like the Stealers too. We don’t really follow sports, so we don’t have a clue today who is who. MOL Big hugs
Luv ya’
