Welcome to Mancat Monday, the day after our Easter holiday, and I do believe we’re all ready for a rest. But hey, we’re usually ready for a rest whether it’s after a holiday or not. We did get some of that ham and the really good news is there’s leftovers! Yes, believe me, none of us will object to leftovers any time soon.
Other than the holiday, it was a pretty quiet weekend. I know you know this, but us kitties are usually appreciative of quiet times, weekend or not. Actually, it wasn’t totally quite. Brother Simon, the StairMaster, spent plenty of time running up the steps, yelling at the top of his voice, and then running back down the steps again. I’m not sure why he does that other than he’s he’s trying to get some attention. Maybe it’s his exercise routine. Whatever it is, I really can’t say it contributes anything to the quiet part of our day.
It wasn’t all quiet and rest though, I did spend some time trying to catch the red dot. Oh, it was close, I almost had it, but it darted off at the last second and ran under the couch. I will catch that red dot one day, just ask da Bird, I’ve caught it lots and my paws of steel won’t let it go. I do have to release da Bird after a while though since others are waiting for their turn to pounce. It’s the brotherly thing to do.
I hope you all have a fun Monday and a terrific week. I’ll see you on Thursday for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
we are sure once you will get that red dot… and then we all will know how it tastes LOL
Nothing beats a nice nap after a weekend of food and fun!
Good to hear your weekend was a good one 🙂

Brian,
I think I need to take a nap after the weekend. We had a rainy day Saturday but we did get out to look at some houses and Sunday was a beautiful day for Easter with Mr. Blue Sky overhead with warm temps. It a nice day spent with our son (the baby) and his girlfriend. We learned that they are now engaged, so it looks like we’re getting a daughter in law in the near future. 🙂 Happy Monday!
We all love chasing the red dot too. It is kind of hard to catch but it id great fun. Wishing all of you a great Monday.
We were happy to be back home after two days at Gramma’s house. It was fun, but there is no place like home and our usual routine.
Stairmaster! You got my mom heehawing like Smoke and Joe and I don’t even know why!
Hi Brian! Yous knows, Tylans does the running around meowing hims head off thing, too, ESPECIALLY after hims goes to the vet place and gets hims shot. Hims makes a LOT of noise when hims feels good. Mes is glad hims feels well, but it sure does not make for a very good napping atmosphere when hims is so loud, MOL!
Purrs,
Carmine
We had a pretty quiet Easter too, Brian. But we didn’t get any ham…or pork tenderloin that the humans had for dinner. So unfair!
What a sweet napper you are Brian! Sounds like a good weekend, best wishes on the red dot capture buddy!
That’s my favourite thingy to do. Sweet dreams!
Pinot xo
Holidays and weekends can be exhausting….rest up my handsome friend
Hugs Cecilia
You had a good weekend like we did. Quiet is good and hubby and I enjoy the quiet.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww and Mancat Monday. My best to your peeps. ♥
Dad got us a new tunnel, its a cannon, and a bag-o-money on a string. Whee what fun. Sounds like a good time at your house too
I am glad you all scored some ham.
Thanks be to goodness that Easter Monday is a holiday here in Canada, too. I’m tellin’ ya, I need it. Need to recover from all those nip eggs I ate yesterday. MOUSES!
Glad to hear you had a good weekend.
That red dot sure does try to keep you all in good shape. We had turkey here yesterday, and we all got some too. AND like you, there are leftovers – bring it on again tonight!!!
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Sounds like you all had a terrific time, Brian!
We think you are doing a great job of resting!!!
Oh yes, quiet is so nice….but you have to have a little fun in there too! 🙂
Awww you’ll catch the red dot soon! 😀
I wonder if you had any of that ham? haha….I am all for resting after any day, so that means I rest a lot. Have a great day.
Brian, it appears a lot of the man cats are napping today MOL.
That’s very nice of you to share Da Bird. Baggy will share but only with his blood brother Ollie. The others, as far as he’s concerned, can go chase the red dot!
Happy snoozies! xx
Mmmmm…..you got ham?? Num!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
We bet Simon’s middle name is ‘Rambunctious’! Glad you all had a nice weekend, though, and HAM!
Easter Monday is a day of rest. We are all exhausted after chasing the bunny.
Get a good rest so you can have more fun soon!
We wonder if the red dot is tasty. There is one who lives in our house too.
so glad you had a nice and relaxing Easter!
Sounds like you had a fun weekend!
Be careful, Brian, or that red dot will catch you!
Brian, you do look darn exhausted. Simon sounds a bit like Sawyer; though, Sawyer likes to run from the far side of the catio, through the kitchen and foyer to the front door and back again over and over and over. He doesn’t yell, however, but he chirps! Little brothers can be funny and exhausting. Wishing you a restful week.
