Hello there gang, thanks for coming by for our Thankful Thursday Blog. As you all likely know by now, each and every Thursday we post about things we are thankful for, and we always have something to be thankful for each and every day. We really do enjoy reading about the things you are thankful for and we get super thrilled when we see new blogger pals hopping in to join us!
Today I’m most thankful that the alien abduction is over, or at least I think it is. Last Saturday Sister Zoe told you about 2 of our wayward ferals that had gone missing 5 months ago. Those 2 recently returned. What Sister Zoe didn’t tell you was the rest of the story. For those of you new to our blog, we routinely cared for 11 ferals who were here on a regular basis. Five months ago all but 2 disappeared, yes, 9 were missing. That was a pretty devastating mystery. I’m convinced it was an alien abduction.
Well, Sister Zoe was right, 2 of our missing ferals returned and have been back on a pretty regular basis. Then, in the past few days, the other missing 7 showed up pretty much at the same time, all here for their evening meal, and most of them were at the crowded feeding station at the same time. Well, 6 regulars plus one new, and quite good looking black cat with golden eyes. Did the aliens return them? If they did, I’m sure thankful that the abduction is over. Heck, no matter what happened, we’re all thankful to see them once again. Well take it, gladly.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
What an odd happening! May they stay put now.
We are thankful the temperatures are still low enough that we don’t need the A/C. We hope it stays that way a good bit longer, too.
I am thankful also that your feral friends have returned. No having to worry about them and apparently they are well and have been fed somewhere else. Glad that the abduction is over also…..so maybe the aliens will not be taking off with any….non feral babes.
Gosh! Aliens! And thy returned them!?!? Do they have antenna? We have a moldy oldies TV station that plays My Favorite Martian…purrhaps they have antenna that come out of their heads now!
Glad everyone is safe and sound.
Brian, we are Thankful for you and your family, I bet the alien ferals are too!
That’s pretty weird! I’m glad all the kitties are safe.
That’s so weird about the ferals all of a sudden returning. But weird in a good way! 🙂
That’s cool that your feral crew is back. I wonder where they were hiding? Maybe they were with Scooby’s outlaws?
oh that is great that they all came back ;o) and we are thankful that your furmily has the biggest heart for all kitties in need…
That is good news that they have all returned. Even if they were being fed elsewhere, it is strange that they never came back during that time. You are right, it must have been aliens!
How cool that the cats came back and brought a friend.
Maybe that was the purpose of the abduction 😉

I’m so glad to hear that your ferals are back!
Weird how they were gone and then poof, must be aliens.
Wow that is strange? Do you have a trap and neuter program around you?
Wow. If it was aliens I’m glad they returned them. I wonder if the kitties know that time has passed, or if on the alien land it seemed like no time at all.
That is wonderful news, but is sure is odd they were all gone for so long and suddenly are back. I wonder where they went?
How strange! I’m glad they’re all back and doing OK. That is puzzling, the mystery continues!
I’m glad the aliens returned your friends……kinda frightening that so many left at the same time and returned at the same time……!! I know you’re happy to see their familiar faces though.
We’re glad they all showed up again. It sure does sound like an alien abduction!
The Florida Furkids
What a strange situation! That said, it is purrfectly easy to understand why aliens would abduct us kitties…. I just can’t understand why they were allowed to return.
I am glad they came back. I wonder where they were? Thanks for hosting. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Interesting “conspiracy theory” Brian LOL
That is incredibly odd. I’m glad that they’ve been returned but watch out for those aliens who abduct cats!
We see some very odd, very strange “avatars” attached to the comments on this page (including our own here!!!)!
Watch out: the aliens may be among you right now …
Aliens probably got scared of the kitties and sent them back.
We are glad the aliens returned them…we can imagine how scary that must have been…hopefully the kitties will stay close from now on!

Phew, that’s excellent mews to hear the aliens returned the missing feral kitties. I hope they appear healthy and unharmed. I’ve heard horror stories of aliens experimenting on humans. This is truly something to be thankful for!
Great news and something to be thankful about. Maybe our ferals will return too although we suspect one of the neighbors killed them. About 7-10 went missing right after he lost his case in court and they ruled UCFCC could continue feeding them.
I’m glad to hear they’re back. I wonder where they’ve been. Maybe someone else was feeding them too.
OMCs invasion of the body snatchers for sure!! Let’s hope the 7 didn’t have their bodies invaded by squirrels
Oh my word…missing for five months?!? I would have been insane with concern, so it’s terrific that they’ve come back. Now, I’d start thinking about why they left…just because I always have to worry about something!
Or…maybe your ferals were abducted by a catch, neuter, release program?
I have to say that is freaky….really, really freaky!
Glad to hear everything turned out alright with your feral companions… Maybe they will tell you what happened to them later? I am sure we all would like to know.
So glad you they have returned. We also feed a feral/street kitties – well the neighborhood does – and it feels so good for the humans to do this.
Happy April Brian! Sorry for the glitch in the double link. Having internet issues today!
Thankful that I have FINALLY gotten over my bronchitis (just in time for allergy season – ha ha!)
Also thankful that NO April Fool’s gags were played on me this year and that Spring is in the air!
Have a blessed week and I’m glad that the ferals have safely survived the aliens! 🙂
Oh my gosh! amazing reappearance! Plus more! You are my cat angel Brian! Have a lovely day!
How wonderful ! As the old song goes “The cat came back…”
Goodness we got here late but are so thankful the ferals have returned and are alright. We are thankful for our loving home and Rumpy Bump has taken up the mantle for our Thankful.
Timmy and Family
Wow, that is really strange. Alien abduction seems like the logical explanation. 🙂 We are so glad they are all back!!
Maybe aliend abducted them, maybe they abducted an alien, who knows?! 🙂
That’s such wonderful news! You must be so relieved. If only they could talk!
We’re glad the ferals are back…and we hope they stay. 🙂
If only they could tell you where they have been. But so happy they have returned. We are thankful the round-up is over and we are all fit. Also thankful for our new Casio cat tree. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
I only have a pair of shoes to link up so I’ll just say, “Yes, it for sure was aliens. I trust Zoe and the rest of you because cats have a sixth sense about these things.” You may not see this, but on my page, an Amazon Ad featuring a book called, “Alien Abduction” popped up so do we need more proof?
Wow, that is amazing! Maybe they were just hibernating!
This is an excellent Thankful Thursday! Your photo share is wonderful and the story is great! It is good to stay close to home when you are a four legged friend. Good to be here. I could not get the link to accept my photo. I was rushing to an appt. grateful that it worked tonight. Thanks Brian for hosting and always being so kind. HUGS
I am sure they have a fascinating story to tel
Thank goodness they turned up unscathed! They’re so lucky to have people like your mom and dad worry about them.
How weird, I wonder where they were off to? At least they’re back now.
We’re glad to hear that your feral friends are back ! Purrs
