Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: The Weather Guessers Guessed Wrong Again

thankful thursday blog hop brian 04112019

Hooray, it’s time once again for our Thankful Thursday Blog and thanks to each of you for stopping by today. Each and every Thursday we post about things we are thankful for, and we always have something to be thankful for to share with you.  We really do enjoy reading about the things you are thankful for and we get super thrilled when we see new blogger pals hopping in to join us!

Today I’m thankful that the Weather Guessers Guessed wrong…again! Seriously, can you imagine Weather Guessers guessing wrong. Of course you can. As you can tell, I was up on the back of the couch yesterday on storm watch. The Weather Guessers said it was going to be really bad in the afternoon. It was going to be so bad that many schools cancelled their ballgames and most outside events were cancelled too.

Yes, you guessed it, not even a drop of rain, and it was even sunny. We can’t help but giggle when they get it so wrong. But we’re thankful that we didn’t get any nasty storms and that we didn’t have to put our emergency retreat to the carriers plan into action. Plus, our ferals got to enjoy a sunny rain-free afternoon and evening.

Actually we’ve given up on the Weather Guessers almost completely and have implemented our own, more accurate, forecasting method. Here’s how we predict the weather…if all of us used the litter box overnight then there’s going to be a nice day in store. When less of us use the litter box overnight that means there’s a proportional increase in the chance for a storm. That’s okay, go ahead and giggle, I’ll bet we’ll be more accurate!

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Litter box weather forecasting,,,we love it. What a clever idea. Can I put it on my phone in the place of the one that is so often wrong?

  2. Marv

WoW! Mom never thought of checking the litter box to judge rain…but here on the wet coast, it really rains quite a bit in the late fall, winter and early spring. Our weather guessers got today half right…it only rained half the day!

I AM GIGGLING. Actually, I am laughing hysterically. Anyone and anything would be better at predicting the weather than the weather guessers! I am planning to link up to Thankful Thursday, so thanks for hosting!

the weather guessers should never buy a lottery ticket… they said sun for yesterday but we had rain… today they say rain and viola… here comes the sun…

Meowser, Brian, dear furiend. I am thankful for the litterbox prediction tip and that you hosted this hop so I could get the tip. I’m also thankful that you have lovely weather, though I purrsonally enjoy a bit of rain, too.

  6. Mickeys Musings

We think cats are good predictors of weather as well as many outdoor critters.
Mum has not noticed our habits VS weather.Maybe she should 😉

That’s an excellent idea to forecast the weather, Brian😹 I always wake up Granny very early when the weather is going to be fine and when it’s raining or so, I wake her up a little later…Granny says, still to early, but anyway…MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Thankful Thursday to all of you🐾😽💞

  8. Scylla, Chimera, Yin, Yang, Fenris & Tuiren

Our weather forecasting goes like this if we are all inside expect bad weather. If everyone but Yang, Scylla and Tuiren are inside it’s iffy. If we are are all outside especially the Mom the weather is GREAT. Oh unless the Mom has to do something like bring the plants in, in a freezing rain.

Our weather peeps were wrong. We are having a big snowstorm, and it is a real mess out there. Although we love snow, April snow is never good because is makes a mess and melts so fast.

  10. Laurie

I will have to try the litter box method of weather forecasting. It has to be at least as accurate as the weather guessers’! 🙂

I’m very thankful for gentleness and love. For my comfortable home and freedom from care. My mom watches after me. I can tell you that I cannot predict the weathers; but when the rains come- which they do more than the suns…I just go to sleep. Nothing much interests me. Times like those I wish I had gotten a companion.

Isn’t there an expression about weather forecasting being the only job where you can be wrong so much of the time and not be fired? Ha. In this case, we’re glad the weather people were wrong!

  13. Ellen Pilch

I think your way of telling weather is great 🙂 Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day! XO

They can get the weather so very wrong. We see that here too. In fact most of the news and weather reports are wrong. Have been for a very long time.

I love how you predict the weather and I’m guessing you’ll be right more than the paid weather folks are.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. ♥

  15. Just Ducky

Our weather guessers were accurate. They said snow, we got snow. Ick. We may get more snow on Sunday.

BTW, let us know how accurate the litter box predictions work.

Whoa! Hooray for sun! I hope to see your daily weather report! The peeps just look at the radar for themselves cos every forecast we hear is difference.

  18. lisa

I’m willing to try your method for predicting the weather! Can you imagine if everyone did their job like the weather guessers? I’d say we’d all be out of jobs. Seriously, I imagine guessing the weather is not an easy task as Mother Nature does seem to have a mind of her own and can change it on a whim. Let’s hope there are no bad storms in the near future. 🙂

  19. Sweet Purrfections

We know what you mean. We were scheduled for some bad weather on Tuesday and it was nice.

We haven’t visited in a long time, but we wanted to tell you how much we like your new look!

  20. The OP Pack

We did indeed giggle at your weather prediction indicator:) Mom says she used to be able to tell when it would storm because Angel Ciara would have seizures or appear anxious. Now she only knows when snow might be coming because we stick our snooters up in the cold air:)

  21. Peaches & Paprika

We are thankful it is little rainy today so the neighbor kids won’t scream outside our window…Okay that’s silly. We are also thankful fur friends like u and for the pets who so bless our lives with their innocent charms. Happy National Pet day to all.

  22. Cathy Kennedy

    Brian,

Perhaps, you can relate your weather forecast to the meteorologist in exchange for kitty treats. It sounds like a win-win situation to me. The so-called weatherman/woman looks good with the viewing audience and you get a reward. 🙂

Thanks for visiting. Have a blessed afternoon!

  23. Jan K

We bet you will too! Well, it’s certainly all good when the weather guessers tell you it’s going to be worse than it turns out to be. We got the opposite, they said rain and we got sleet and snow!!

  24. Kitties Blue

Our weather guessers aren’t much better. We kept getting alerts a few days ago saying we were going to have thunderstorms with 50 to 60 mph winds and damaging hail. We got some rain and that was it. We are thankful to all be in good health. I love when the weather forecasters are wrong and the weather is good

  26. caren gittleman

well, in this case I am glad they got it wrong because severe storms are NOT good! Come to think of it, they said we would have storms late today and so far we have had none!
