Hello everyone, thank you for coming by to visit our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, I am always thankful to each of you for joining us. As you know, every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful. Plus, we really do enjoy reading about all of the things you are thankful for too. If youโre new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we do get super excited when new blogger pals join us!
This is the last week of May and it’s already hot, hot, hot here in the South. Today we are most thankful for air conditioning, seriously. It’s already been stupid hot and we’re not into the hot season yet. We can keep our cool no matter which part of the house we choose to be in and we really do enjoy that. Our temps have been in the high 90s and our temperature gauge out back registered 100 degrees a couple of times.
I wish we could bring our feral family in, but that really isn’t possible. We don’t see them much during the day time, they come early for breakfast and after sundown for their dinner. The Dad makes sure they always have fresh cool water too. Hopefully they are finding the places in the shade during the daytime.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

YES….here in the south it is HOT. In Wyoming it is snowing! CRAZY. I did not realize you and all the furbabes, mom and dad also lived in the south. We went from mid 60s two weeks ago to 90 the next week. Hoping summer is not going to be this bad. Thankful for my FURBABES.
Hoo boy, it is really hot there. We’re glad you and your family have AC, Brian. It sounds like the ferals are pretty smart, and are staying where it’s shadier while the sun is at its hottest. We’re grateful for your dad making sure they have cool water to drink.
We are thankful that the A/C in the car is working!
it’s about that time here too, Brian. we are thankful in advance for our ac ๐ purrs,
pip, minnie, hollie, sharpie, ditto, TL
We’ve had to have the air conditioner on and off already too, and yeah, it’s way early! Here’s hoping for a few more cooler days so we can have window whiffies! Oh do we have a HUGE thankful today! And it’s all to do with our mommy! That’s why we joined the blog hop, which we are very thankful for by the way! We loves it!
isn’t that crazy how fast may was over? we have the opposite weather… it’s really cold and you need thick coats every day…
Outside kitties are usually pretty good at figuring out how to stay cool… although I really, really wish it didn’t have to be that way!
Meowser, Brian dear furiend you are purrfectly right about loving air conditioning. Fact is that in my part of the South, it was 90, yesterday, so it was ever so nice to be cool inside. Mom did a bit of weeding and I observed that she tried to stay in the shade, which is understandable …. I, for one, avoided waling on the pavers which were in the sun… very hot!
Thank you for hosting this hop and reminding me of the things I take for granted.
Purrseidon
Oh I agree about A/C……it’s mighty nice and while I do love being outside even in the summer, I also love the feeling of a nice cool floor and air when I come back inside. When I’m outside I tend to lie under a bush to hide from the sun which I’m sure the ferals do.
Hugs, Teddy
We are also very thankful for air conditioning in this more than hot weather. It has been in the upper nineties here too. You all stay cool.
a/c is a wonderful thing, you cool cats. We are thankful we are having cool weather and it is supposed to be a cooler than normal summer. Not fans of the heat.
Oh Brian, it’s been stupid hot here too! Mom said she’s had to go to the gym to use the treadmills instead of walking outside. She’ll go in freezings weather but not the hots. You all stay cool..I will too. XX
3 zillion hoorays for a/c!!
I bet those backyard visitors have lots of secret, cool shady places to escape the heat.
Hugs Cecilia
You got the heat, Brian, and we got the rain. Stay cool, buddy!
Geez that it hot!! We are still in the low 70s here, perfect for us.
Sorry it is so darn hot. I do feel bad for the ferals. Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day! XO
If our mom didn’t have air conditioning we wouldn’t want to be around her! MOL She can’t imagine summer in the south.
P.s. Sorry for the duplicate entries in the hop. Our mom had some difficulty. Maybe you can delete two?
We’ve had the heater on more than the air conditioner, but that will change this weekend. It’s going to get in the high 80s finally. We are thankful for the heater and the air conditioner.
I’m glad the dad takes care of the feral kitties. I’m sure they appreciate it.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. โฅ
We too are very thankful for our air conditioning!
Every now and then we miss Texas…and then we remember how dang hot it gets down south in the summertime and we are thankful for our cool ocean breezies.
Stay cool!
xoxo,
Rosy
We can’t,wait to be thankful for AC. It is still chilly here although we usually get spring in February.
We are so fankful for AC and the bit of rain we gots Tuesday. It are stupid hot here too and has been in da triple digits way too much for our liking fur May. Dis summer is gonna be brutal…
xoxo,
Matilda & Matt
Brian, you look like the king of all you survey today – very handsome! The heat is too high for so early this year in our area of the country too – I agree – I am very thankful for air conditioning!
I hope the ferals can find a cool place during the day. A/C is one of the joys of living here. The peeps didn’t have it in the old house and the cats didn’t do well during the summer. Hope the cool weather visits you soon.
When it gets hot around here, Sweetie and Paddy nap under the broad leaves of the hosta plants, and the ground is cool. Paddy really doesn’t do well in the heat; he’s a cold-weather cat!
dood…..we iz happee… that for de moe mint….. itz knot rainin….hope ya catch a heet brake
N heerz ta de A/C runnin smooth N trubullz free ๐ โฅโฅ
Hopefully, they’re chilling out somewhere, it would be nice if there was a kitty cooling station. They’re very lucky you’re bringing them plenty of water. It’s going to be close to 90ห here tmw which is insane because I was debating about turning on the fireplace last week and put an extra blanket on the bed Tuesday.
Stay cool, kittens.
It’s a good thing you all don’t suffer in the heat. And the ferals will be thankful for fresh water as well.
We are mild and wet right but it’s not snowing. That’s one thing I’m thankful for. Another thing I’m thankful for is we didn’t get hit as hard with the weather as we thought we might. Still could get storms. Actually, I’m thankful for so much so I just listed a few since it would take up so much space.
Brian,
I’m very thankful for air conditioning, too. It is hot. We might catch a slight break in temps tomorrow and maybe a little rain. There’s so much we need to do outdoors that it’s not funny and we can’t catch the weather or circumstance just right to work for us. That’s so frustrating!
A/C is a great thing to be thankful for ! Purrs
We’ve got the HOTS here too so we’re thankful for the A/C here too.
The Florida Furkids
The 90’s? Wow! We just had 78 here in northern Minnesota. First real warm day so far. Time to put in the A/C. Stay cool…
We’ve been blessed with a real Spring this year. I know the triple digits are coming so I am savoring the niceness as long as I can!
Stay cool – I am glad for refrigerated food once more! ๐
We have barely had any heat here, still have the heater on some days. Rain and cold. I think we’ll pass on your kind of heat though, ac isn’t in yet.
Yep I agree. It’s already in the 90’s here so I’m thankful for air conditioning too.
I can’t imagine what the world did before air conditioning!!! I’m thankful that here in VT we haven’t even hit 80 degrees yet this year…our paws are crossed for a cool summer ๐
Brian, if you wish to share we will gladly take some of your heat!
WE are having the coldest Spring since 2005!!!!! Sheesh!
We are thankful we have our furnace ๐
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
Yes, AC is a wonderful thing! Try not to worry too much about your feral pals–no doubt they have their cool(ish) hiding places.
Brian – I admire anyone that can live in the South – personally, I can’t handle the heat and humidity! Would much rather have a winter than a hot summer! So, yes, AC is a must!!! I am grateful for our public lands that allow us to go hiking as we did today – and we didn’t see a soul! Enjoy the rest of your week!
Thank you for allowing us to share with you Brian. I Am thankful each day for something simple. I love your share today and the photo you share. We have had cool and rain and now we are headed into the 70’s. Have a great weekend. HUGS
Its not been too hot hear, but I hear it is SMOKIN’ in Midway! I’m sure glad I’m not going, even if Dad does have hair conditioning too!
Stay cool!
Purrs
Marv
That is too hot for us dogs too. We thank God for air conditioning. Enjoy.
We’re thankful for air conditioning too but we don’t need to use is as often as you do.
To parallel your thanks, I say “hooray for heating”. Ha ha. Our worlds couldn’t be more opposite ๐
OMC that’s hot, Brian. Our temperature is getting the same way this weekend too, so let’s all Stay Cool๐ธExtra cool Pawkisses to all of you๐พ๐ฝ๐
Happy Friday and here’s wishing mew a gorgeous weekend! XOX
We are in the middle by Philadelphia so not as hot but finally we have spring and maybe summer. Glad the storms missed you, and us!
I hope your ferals have found a way to stay cool in that heat. It’s been mild here in So. California so far, no AC needed yet.
We live farther north than you do, but we are thankful for the air conditioning…especially Ron. He has not lived in tropical/semi-tropical areas, like I have.
We have natural air conditioning here (the breeze coming in the windows, if it’s even warm enough to open them!) and it’s too darn cold!! Maybe we’d all like to trade places for a while! ๐
Charlee: “We like air conditioning too!”
Chaplin: “Dennis told us they got the system for Tucker when he was old and that he got to enjoy it for one summer before he went over the Rainbow Bridge.”
Charlee: “It sure was nice of him to leave it behind for us.”
Lulu: “What’s air conditioning?”
Charlee: “You’ll find out come July!”
