Hello everyone, yes, it is Mancat Monday and yes, I do totally love the new couch, it sure makes for a comfy snoozy spot. I really would have a difficult time telling you whether I like the new couch best or the new big bed best. I guess I’m still trying to decide, but they both sure have great big bunches of comfy built in.
Anyways, now, back to my question: Guess who is still home? The Mom, the Mom is still home. She didn’t get up and go to work today, and she is not going tomorrow, or the next day or the next day. BREAKING NEWS: This just in…OFFICIAL…the Mom is retired! We want to do all we can to make the transition to being retired as easy as we can, so we’ll all try to keep Mom plenty busy.
Here’s our plan…plenty of snuggle time, plenty of brushing time, for us by her, plenty of litter tossing time so she can run the vacuum to her hearts content and once those things are done we’ll repeat. We’re so happy she doesn’t have to go out and play in traffic early every morning. I’m pretty sure she’ll be happy to be with us most of the time too. We love ya Mom!

YAY!!!! A retired Mom is an “almost always accessible” Mom and I know that I’m VERY happy (so was Angel Sammy) that Mom is retired. Enjoy all the extra snuggling and hopefully treats – you can REST EASY knowing hugs are always just around the corner.

Congrats to the mom on retirement. I’m looking forward to the day DH retires. This is a few years away yet but it’ll be here before we know it given how fast the days melt away. Enjoy your time snuggling in a well air-conditioned home. 🙂
Tell your mom please that MY mom is smiling for her. My mom was so happy not to have to play in traffic each day she got almost giddy…in other words, she was like chasing her tail around and around all smiley and stuffs. Crazy pants she was! She went places because she could. .Your mom will too, no doubt. One morning at 6 am she got up, and started turning out all the dresser drawers and reorganizing. Because she could- and there was no pressure. Congratulations to your mommy.
