Well, it’s Mancat Monday again, the first one in June, dang, there goes that time flying again. You might remember Sister Zoe telling you on Sister Saturday all that was going on here. Well, she was absolutely right, it was darn, darn busy here with some carpet scrubbing and new furniture arriving.
Before I start, I know several of you wanted to see pictures of our new furniture, and you will, probably next week. Our blog photos are done about a week in advance so this week we still have the old furniture in the photos. The Mom, working on the photos for next week, has quite a few with the new furniture, so we’ll show it to you soon.
Anyways, it was pretty hectic and to ensure our safety with the frequent open doors, we were stashed away in the bathrooms. Sisters Dolly, Zoe and I were behind closed doors in the master bathroom and Brother Simon and Sister Seal were stashed away in the upstairs bathroom. WeeeeeOooooo, Brother Simon and Sister Seal weren’t impressed with being shut in up there. After all was done we were allowed back in the rest of the house.
Let me tell you, I love the new big bed, love, love, love it. Then there is the new couch. I wasn’t sure at first but I love it too. On a side note, the date installed some of the CLAWGUARD protectors on the front arm panels since some here have been known to scratch on the furniture, not that I’d know who that would be. Well, I might know, but I’m not saying! Sister Zoe loves it all too, Sister Dolly is neutral as she’s not really into sitting on the furniture much. Sister Seal and Brother Simon were afraid of the new stuff for about two days but now they’ve decided it’s pretty nice. We’ll show you some of it next week.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday and a super week. Catch ya soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
aaah such changes are always a little bit stress for people and pets… our staff solved that problem with bringing all new things with their own paws in our crib, so no strangers here … but muscle aches for the staff LOL
Hopefully being tucked away so as not to escape will have been worth it with the new furniture to lounge on. Are you planning on sharing it with the humans? Have a wonderful week!
Tucked away is a good way to be when the door is open, even if one gets a little perturbed. Enjoying the new is a win indeed.
I’m sure the new furniture is great. You will need to break it in nicely, getting your furs all over it.
Well that is exciting to have new furniture. Glad you are getting to like it. Looking forward to seeing it. Have a great Monday.
Brian,
Well, I see that you’re no snitch ratting out any of your siblings. 🙂 I didn’t know you could get anything like scratch guard for furniture. That’s good to know just in case someday we get pets.
New furniture – how exciting!! We can’t wait to see it!
I am going to have to check out that Clawguard….some kitty (ahem, Carmine) keeps scratching the back of the couch.
By the way, cool new blog header! <3
Did you say a COMFY new bed!?!?!?
Well maybe your peeps can be forgiven for the confinements afterall a COMFY bed is just PAWSOME
Loves and licky kisses

I’m glad it’s all done and you’re all loving it – nothing like something new to give you a happy feeling – and the Spring cleaning done too – y’all must be feeling fine! Can’t wait to see the new look.
We love how you all react differently to the new stuff! We’re glad it’s settled in and now loved. It’s funny, we never had too many furniture scratchers in all the cats we had. But Sam used to love to scratch the pine walls and trim, which was much harder to replace than furniture! The puppies at the time helped too though, so it’s not all on Sam. 🙂
I told you that you would all love the new furniture given time. It seems to be true. You sure are a handsome mancat.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday. My best to your peeps. ♥
Yay! It’s done and you have new furniture! I’m glad that you were stashed away so that you were safe. Now you can enjoy the furniture!
I can’t wait to see it! New things are pretty scary at first.
Ohhh what goes on behind closed doors stays right Brian! Once Angel Madi and I were sequestered behind closed doors during some renovations. She wrote many new verses to the Song of her People. Thank goodness for clawguard for anybuddy leaning in that direction
Hugs Cecilia

It must have been busy, Brian, you look tired!
I look forward to seeing photos of the new furniture, Brian! It sounds like your humans picked out some great stuff with you in mind. I hope you enjoy your naps on your new big bed!
I can’t wait to see the new furniture.
New furniture is always a gas. I spend many an hour sniffing it to the ground. Tyebe bounces on it and Budd watches with a skeptical eye. So the furniture entertains us for hours.

We are glad things are starting to settle down with all the new furniture arriving. We bet that new BIG bed is comfy. We so wish we could test out the beds upstairs in our home, but Mom says way too much flying fur is not good for sleeptime:)

No kitty likes being stashed away from the action, Brian! Even if it’s nap time, and you usually sleep on the bed, but no one tells a cat what to do!
I’m glad you’re loving the new furniture.
Sounds really nice now that all that hub bub is done. We love a couch at our house and stake out the whole thing after dinner
OMC! All that new furniture for you guys to fur up!
Good for you, Brian, not to tell who’s scratching on your furniture. I know someone here, too, who’s doing the same thing to our furniture, and I’m not telling either.
Sounds like lots of changes and all is good now! We can hardly wait to see it all and are happy to hear you all like it, pretty much. We don’t like being put in bedrooms either.
It’s much safer to be tucked away when so much activity is going on!
We wonder if it’s something in the air–we didn’t get new furniture but our mom also cleaned the carpets!
What an exciting time for your pack. Enjoy the new furniture smell.
Brian, what an exciting weekend, getting new furniture! I am excited to see it too. Those felines do not like being behind closed doors though. Busy busy kitties. Enjoy your new furnishings and have a great week! Always love your photo shares. HUGS
HAHA….I have had several friends tell me about their cats that do that to the furniture, my sis in law for one but Lily Bit has not done that. Well, she only has done it to an ottman I got. I got it at Goodwill and even though I cleaned it I am thinking it might have had an animal around it before. I keep it covered with a throw so Lily Bit lifts that up and scratches on it…then down goes the throw again! haha….she is pretty good though. I think from horror stories I have heard, I got… Read more »
great to hear you are loving your new furniture, Brian! Simon’s and Seal’s reaction to it all made us giggle. That would be our TL too 🙂 have a good week!
