Hello there friends, it’s Sister Saturday once again and I am more than happy to take my turn. Brother Brian came up with the title for my post today, it wasn’t me, I would have said something else, like Hello From Sweet Blue Eyes, but no, he picked that one.
I do hate to admit it, but Brother Brian is right, I just don’t get it, still. Oh, get what? Well, what happened to our couch? The one that’s here now certainly isn’t ours and it seems like I’m the only one who doesn’t like it. Let me be totally honest…**whispers** I’m afraid of it, it’s scary**whispers**. I’ve been on it only twice and one of those times the Mom put me on it.
Brother Simon keeps telling me how much fun it is but I’m not sure I believe him. Sister Zoe told me I’ll get used to it after a while. I wonder how long a while is? I’m not scared of it as in I won’t go in the living room. I just don’t want to get on it and I’m fine being in there with it, just not on it. Oh well, at least I’m not afraid of the new big bed, it’s pretty cool and I like it lots.
Hey, I hope you all have a fun Saturday, see ya soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
Oh Sister Seal, that is OK to be scared. You will get used to the new couch eventually. New stuff is very scary. You all have a super Saturday.
Maybe the couch needs to feed you some treats to make friends.
Sister Seal, I hope once you see everyone else in the family on it and it then has familiar scents, that you’ll give the couch a try. Good looking around up there now…remember that. XXX
Maybe you need something on it that smells familiar.
Sister Seal…we all know cats like what they like and warm up to new things at their own speed.
I trust you have given it a once over from the ground? Did you sense a scent that was not pleasing to your sensitive nose?
Hugs Cecilia
It’s okay, Seal. We bet the new couch smells different. You’ll get used to it.
Seal, don’t listen to anyone! You make up your mind about the new couch in your own time, and in your own way.
New furniture smells funny, it doesn’t have your scent on it yet. It takes a while, but the more you and your siblings get on it, the better it will get.
I like your title better–your blue eyes are very beautiful! Hey, it’s your blog post so you should use your title. I also think it’s okay you don’t like the new couch–don’t let the peer pressure get to you. Enjoy the spots you like and don’t worry what everyone else thinks.
I think they should bring the old couch back for you. Apparently they never got your permission to exchange it.
You’ll get used to it in time, Seal. When we got a big shaggy rug for the lounge Flynn wouldn’t walk on it for a week or more. He kept doing a big detour around it, but when he got used to it, he liked to sleep on it all the time.
I’m sure you’ll get used to it in time.
I am sure you will come to love the new couch.
You’re just more discriminating than your sibs, nothing wrong with that princess – you are setting a good example of dignity and restraint. Have a great week all!
Oh Sister Seal we are all leery of any new things that the Mom purrson brings in. But you’ll get use to it and then you’ll love it!
Seal, you are so pretty and we love this picture of you <3
We think that once the new couch has more cat smells on it you just might find it more friendly 😉
Then you will really enjoy the view!

Well, you don’t HAVE to go on the couch, Sister Seal, but we hear there’s a pretty nice view from there! You take your time and we bet one day you’ll get brave and try it out on your own! ♥
Hey, Seal, there’s a rocker here I can’t stand and it’s been here forever and an enemy of every cat tail. As long as you don’t have one of those in your house, you should be fine. – Tom x
Just give it some time, Seal. You Mom and Dad would never put a dangerous couch in your living room.
We would definitely call you Sweet Blue Eyes! Furniture disappearances are hard to deal with. Just keep a close eye on the others and if they seem fine after a while, you might be able to risk it.
Purrs,
Tama and Genji
Hopefully the new couch will soon small familiar and you won’t be afraid to jump aboard.
It won’t hurt you, sweet girl! I bet in no time you’ll love it.
Seal, just take your time. There’s nothing wrong with being cautious of something new. I’m with your sister Zoe, you’ll get used to it. And don’t worry, it doesn’t matter how long a while is.
Couches can be scary but they are nice to snuggle on.
Have a super weekend…

You’ll get it in your own time, Sister Seal. Don’t let anyone rush you. I bet that the couch is as nice as the new big bed!
New is scary. Might try scratching it for a bit and see what happens. Or take your time, see how it responds to your pals. Or give your peeps sad eyes, like you need more treats.
Sister Seal, you just take your sweet time getting use to the new couch. Maybe you want to wait until the others break it in for you.
Your couch was sent to a lovely farm upstate where it has a big field and people can come to lie on it.
I hope you get used to that couch – I think it looks awesome!
A bed is better than a sofa anyways, right, Sister Seal? Once everybody gets their smell all over the new sofa, you’ll probably like it better because it’ll smell more homey
We don’t like new things either and don’t understand why humans get them.
Well, it does sound like it’s real nice, Sister Seal. We bet you will get used to it in your own time, and hey, maybe you’ll even like it! 🙂
I hope you get used to the new couch soon, sweetie.
