Hello gang, it’s Tabby Tuesday and the question is what do you make of this scratcher? Us kitties always say if it fits, I sit. Well, I guess technically I fit but one size bigger would have been pretty nice. Actually, truth be told, I can’t complain, I have been spending a fair amount of time in this thing.
Oh, if this round scratcher looks familiar, it was Angel Precious’ very favorite and she used them as a bed too. When she went to the Bridge the Dad already had two of these with the shrink wrap still on them. He decided he would put one out to see what we did and, well, you can see what we did. Angel Precious was smaller than me but boy was she big in spirit. I do miss seeing her yelling at me from the upstairs gate.
I’ll have to put a bug in Dad’s ear to make sure any new scratchers are sized appropriately. Not to worry though, I won’t put a real bug in Dad’s ear, that would be kind of funny though, I bet he would jump n’ run! Oh, I’d probably eat the bug before I got a chance to do that. Okay, I’m gonna see if I can nap in this thing. Have a terrific Tuesday everyone!
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
hahaha the imagination to put a bug in an ear is funny!!!!
Maybe the Dad should get out the other one! You know, one for your tail, and the other for the rest of you? Or maybe Seal would expect you to let her have one (which we know you’d do, you sweet boy)?
Super idea! Bear, you rock!
Could just putt the leftovers of the bug in his ear, not as bad, right? At least you kinda fit.
A round scratcher seems weird but glad you can crunch your body in that one Simon. We are in the market for a new scratcher as well.
Good for you Simon, getting yourself all folded up in that scratcher. Too cute. You all have a fantastic day.
As long as you fit, that’s the important thing.
That does seem to be a Chimera size scratcher.
Oh having Lily has taught me that saying also. Like you she tries to fit in tight spots! HAHA….you look so adorable sitting in there though.
Our sister Emma used to try to sleep in cat beds that were far too small for her. She had the same look you do. Enjoy your sleeping spot.
Simon, I think that is a bit too small, yes, but I sure like Bear’s idea…the other one for your tail when Seal isn’t in it.
Can’t remember what show it was, but the guy would say, “make it work!” and well, you did!
That’s what they call cozy, Simon!! 🙂
We have some like that too and my cats use them as beds. I crocheted a round bed to line one of them. Well actually, I tried to make something else and it came out wrong, but worked perfectly inside the round scratcher 🙂
Wow, Simon you really did a good job getting yourself stuffed into that scratcher. We see you have your sense of humor on a roll today. lol Enjoy that scratcher and maybe you will get one soon that will hold your beautiful tail along with all of your sweet self. Hugs and nose kisses
I just love that scratcher bed! Hopefully you’ll get one that’s just the purrfect size soon.
Love,
Lexy
Dad knows you need a size bigger and I’m sure he’ll do that when the time comes. Dads are that way.
I’m sure mom is enjoying not having to go to work.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. My best to your peeps. ♥
That is such a sweet photo. Angel Madi had quite the talent for squeezing her bountiful buttocks into the smallest places
Hugs Cecilia
Simon there isn’t enuff room for your floofy tail. One size up would be purrfect
I’d bet that if he did get a size bigger you wouldn’t go near it – ha!
Haha yes, one size bigger may have been nicer but sounds like you are liking it very much 🙂
HAH! A couple of pillows and it will be perfect. Those ER shows Pop watches have people with real bugs in their ears. It’s creepy.
Simon, every cat that lives with us seems to like to have at least on part of their body hanging out of the beddy! No matter what size, there is a dangle going on. Maybe if you leave your tailio out?
dood…if maru can do it, sew can ewe !! 🙂 ♥♥
We love that picture of putting a bug in Dads ear Hee Hee. Simon you are a bit big for that scratcher but if you are comfy thats all that matters
Ohh, Precious. I thought that was a fancy bowl at first but good job on curling up in there.
Aww you look pretty cute trying to fit in that.
MOL about the bug in Dad’s ear. Too funny! You look darling in that scratcher even if it is a tight fit!
Your floof overflows. You sure need a larger size 🙂
To make it comfortable you really need one size bigger—Agreed. Tell those humans of yours to get you one size up.
Simon, we really don’t think you look very comfy, but you do look darn cute. No bug would make it to anyone’s ear at our house. Astrid and Sawyer are very good about eating them. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
That small size certainly isn’t keeping you from trying to fit! Glad that no real bugs will be involved.
We think you look pretty good in that one, Simon. 🙂
You look pretty comfy Simon…even if it is a size too smnall!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
Well, you’re in, but we agree,a size bigger would be nice.

While it’s more obvious with dogs that there is no such thing as “dog size” that fits all dogs, i have noticed that there is no such thing as “cat size” that fits all cats, either.
Mudpie overflows her cat beds so I guess she has the same problem!
I think you might need two sizes bigger!
You are too funny, Simon!
If the bed makes you happy, it fits!
They really should make the scratchers by size. You look great in the bed
Felines are so darn funny! No matter what the size, they seem to fit themselves into places the rest of us wouldn’t dare try! I love hearing these sweet stories, every pet has a story or two to tell. Thank you for sharing, HUGS
Yes, humans do not like real bugs in their ears, Simon. MOL!
We hope you get a Simon-sized scratcher bed, pal. 🙂
You still fit, and it’s the most important, but we admit that a bigger scratcher would be more comfy. Purrs
Aww…you look cute in that almost-fits-purrfectly-angel-scratcher, Simon *hihihihi* Pawkisses for a Happy Wednesday🐾😽💞
Small can be cozy. And having the side be your headrest is convenient…
Lol! Do you use that as a scratcher?
Chaplin: “I’ve noticed that the baskets and hammocks on our cat trees have shrunk since we got them.”
Charlee: “Uh-huh. The baskets have shrunk. Yep.”
Lulu: “What kind of bug are you going to use? The ones from that Star Trek movie where Mr. Khan doesn’t give anyone a belly rub?”
