Hello everyone, thanks once again for coming by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always so very thankful to each of you for joining us, seriously thankful. Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today I’m thankful for those heroes among us who venture out into the wild weather to help those in need. Hurricane Barry came ashore over the weekend and we watched some of our Coast Guard heroes airlifting out stranded humans and critters on baskets extended down from helicopters. Then there were so many volunteers helping get shelter pets out of dodge before the storm came in. Thank you to all of the first responders who always put the safety and welfare of others first.
We’re also thankful that Hurricane Barry weakened to a tropical storm and we’re thankful that it all wasn’t as bad as it could have been. We send our purrs and prayers to those who were affected by the torrential tropical rain and storms and hope the recovery from the mess is a quick one. Hurricane season is just underway so y’all be careful please.
What are you thankful for today??? Tell us in the comments and then join us for the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

We are thankful that we don’t live where there are hurricanes or tornadoes. We have an occasional earthquake in California, but they are not where we live. We are thankful we don’t live on a fault line,
I’m thankful that it wasn’t that bad either.
Thank goodness Barry was downgraded as it came ashore. All the volunteers and rescuers working to keep people and animals safe in these storms are heroes.
We are ever so thankful that we didn’t have a repeat of 3 years ago here from this storm. Have a fabulous Thursday!
We are also thankful for all first responders!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
I’m thankful I get awesome opportunities like the one I have this weekend, being a Meet-and-Greet cat at Meow MeetUp in Chicago!
we are glad that Barry calmed down and was no serious danger for da peeps and pets and wildlife…
We have appealed for people to donate to charities helping and who stand ready. This is every cat or dogs worst nightmare. Wet, windy and hopeless. We keep our paws crossed.
We are thankful that we live in a place with moderate weather.Even out snowstorms are not usually too bad.
WE send purrs to all affected by Hurricane Barry.
We are thankful we have a good ,safe place to live and a purrson that loves us 🙂
Purrs Georgia,Julie and JJ
We all should be thankful that there are people who don’t hesitate to risk their lives to help others. Good to hear you are alright.
Though I’m sure it was bad enough for those in its path it most certainly could have been much, much worse. We’re keeping our fingers (and my paws) crossed that we don’t have a hurricane season here like last year.
Thankful it wasn’t as bad as it could have been to and for all those who help out.
We are thankful the hurricane wasn’t so bad either and that hopefully the remnants of it will send us a little rain today!
We are also very thankful that the hurricane didn’t do as much damage as it could have done. Sure hope all of you are surviving all this heat. Have a super day.
Luckily the storm wasn’t as bad as they thought. We prefer the tornadoes we have over hurricanes, but bad weather is still scary.
Meowser Brian dear furiend, I am also thankful for our heroic Coast Guard and the Cajun Navy, too. Thank you for hosting this hop.
Purrseidon
We’re glad Barry didn’t cause nearly as much damage as they thought he would and that everyone was well prepared. We do have bad thunderstorms here but only one tornado since Mom and Dad have lived here and usually just “remnants” of hurricanes and tropical storms. We hope that everyone is recovering from any effects they had from Barry and can enjoy the REST of this super hot summer! Thanks for hosting “Thankfuls” Brian!
Hugs, Teddy
Brian, you are right; those rescue teams deserve all our praise!
Glad you were safe from the hurricane. I am thankful to all those who aid others. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day! XO
That is a good thankful. Those who rescue others are amazing folks, I am so thankful they do what they do. I think the entire country is thankful that hurricane wasn’t as bad as Katrina and that folks are, for the most part safe and sound after Barry.
We are always thankful when storms are not as bad as expected!
The Florida Furkids
There are so many out there that take care of those in need. It’s a tough job and we are grateful that so many choose to serve their communities. I’m glad the storm wasn’t as bad as you thought it might be.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. ♥
I agree with you Brian. We have a BFF who lives near Baton Rouge. She left FB but last year we read how she was going into flooded areas getting people’s cats left behind and when she couldn’t find the cats, leaving food. The pics were horrible. We’re also thankful for the 9/11 responders who seem to have been forgotten by our government. We should never forget those scenes are devastation and of the heroes covered with toxic dust trying to return our city and our country back to normalcy. Every day heroes are dying but members of our gov’t… Read more »
We never get any hurricane, and we’re thankful for that : that sounds so scary ! Purrs
Brian what a heartfelt post…first responders and volunteers never get enough acknowledgement
Hugs Cecilia
We hope you are having a wonderful Thankful Thursday. We are very thankful for all the people that help when a disaster has struck an area. Glad Barry downgraded before coming ashore. Thanks for sharing. Have a terrific rest of your day.
We join in your thanks to the brave first responders
Happy Thursday guys! Today we are thankful to be part of your pawesome hop fur the furst time in weeks! XOX
We are thankful our internet finally got fixed. And yes very good news about Barry. We were thankful so many rescues and fosters stepped up to help the shelter in Louisiana that flooded. We were told they were able to get all the dogs out.
We totally agree with you about those responders. They sacrifice their time and lives to help others all the time. We are happy Barry wasn’t worse than it was, and we are hoping for a very quiet hurricane season.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
It seems that the weather has been crazy everywhere this year. Today, we are thankful because we got a little rain after not getting any for several weeks It wasn’t much but the earth just soaked it up!

Barry could have been much worse than it was.
It’s tough what you go through with all the hurricanes and tornadoes. We are in CA and deal with an earthquake every now and then. Hugs and purrs to all the heroes.
This is such a scary time of year for everyone in the path of hurricanes.
Where would we all be without all the brave people who take care of us? We’re glad this storm didn’t turn out to be worse than it was.
Hope you are safe and glad Barry fizzled ~ many prayers and positive energy for those caught in the storm and and helpers too ~ Your cat is sooo handsome!
Happy Day to You,

aka (A Creative Harbor)
Thankful for a break in the triple digit temps (at least for a few days!)
Thanks for hosting Brian – have an amazing weekend! 🙂
We’re glad we don’t get hurricanes here–folks go mental over 1″ of snow, imagine what would happen with a hurricane. Actually, we know–idiots would still be out on the roads.
Brian, we agree. We’re thankful for all those first responders that risk their lives for others.
Hi, Brian. I really like your pose today with one leg tucked and the other hanging down. Those are some really good things for which to be thankful. I agree, especially about the first responders and that Barry didn’t get as bad as originally thought.
I am thankful that hurricane calmed down… 🙁
I am so thankful that you are okay, dry, and snug! I hate those storms and that you have to deal with them.
We’re so fankful ya’ll are safe and fur those helpers that made others safe. Your foto looks pawsum. You look a bit like you have on a hat or toupee of sorts. Big hugs fur all.
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
The weather is wicked and wild and unpredictable. We have had such a heat wave. I always pray for all the hurricanes and tornadoes everywhere. Take care 🙂
We are also thankful that it weakened. We got a lot of rain and a little wind but nothing like it could have been. We too are thankful for all of those that helped with the flooding here and everywhere help was needed. Hugs and nose kisses
Yes, a big thank you to all of the heroes! Glad that it downgraded as well.
That’s really worth a great Thankfulness, Brian <3 Extra Thankful Pawkisses for that🐾😽💞
I’m thankful for God’s grace and mercy, for air conditioning, for linemen who go through severe weather conditions to make sure our power comes back on, and for my family!
