Hello there friends, it’s my turn to do Sister Saturday and since I’m out of trouble I thought I’d do it right from here on my favorite scratcher perch. I know what you’re thinking, how could such a sweet girl like me get into any trouble? I understand, I was thinking the same thing. Truth be told, I wasn’t really in any trouble but I did totally scare the heck out of the Mom and the Dad.

You see, it all started when our new chair was delivered last week. I’m never one to run and hide when strangers come, and delivery humans are pretty darn strange. Well, this time it was obvious that I was more than a little nervous so I took off up the stairs. After the delivery humans left the Mom and Dad were getting things back to normal. They tracked down everyone in their hiding spots but me, I was no where to be found. No where at all.

The Mom and the Dad hunted, hunted and hunted some more. The Dad made five trips up the stairs since that was the last time they saw me. The Mom had a flashlight looking under everything, everywhere and then when she was finished the Dad and the Mom started over hunting for me again. The Mom even went outside to look for me. Neither one of them thought I had gotten out because they were watching the door so closely when the delivery humans were here.

Finally, an hour later, the Dad made one last trip upstairs to open the still closed door to the Angel Precious room since I usually come running when I hear that door open. I didn’t come running but the Dad happened to glance down and saw me wedged into a wee tiny space beside a tall bookcase up on the landing. I was a little stuck but the Dad helped me out and the Dad and the Mom were both so happy to see me. Hey, I was just hiding from the deliver humans, what’s the big deal?

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday with no hiding from your peeps. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

We kitties always need at least one hiding place the humans can’t find. I have one! And it drives my human nuts.

Have to make the humans go on the search every once in a while, getting stuck isn’t fun though.

Oh Zoe, one of us missing is a mom and dad nightmare. Mommy just said that only happened once with Admiral…it was hours before I was found In the packed crowded closet!

Zoe MY word above…thank goodness you are out of that tight spot and relaxing. Angel Madi had a ‘place’ she went when she needed alone time. Sometimes she would go missing making us frantic even though we knew she was somewhere in the house. I pulled out all my tricks that normally had her running. BUT never did she come when I was trying to trick her. All of a sudden we’d look around there there was the Diva sitting in the middle of the room. To this day we still don’t know where her special ‘place’ was.

It’s good to make the humans worry once in a while.

Well, you sure did find an excellent hiding spot, Zoe. We’re glad Mom and Dad found you, and you were okay, though!

Every once in so often, one of our cats will go missing and Sweetie panics. What i always tell him is that cats can fold themselves up like a pocket handkerchief, pull on their cloak of invisibility, and vanish, but will always reappear when they are good and ready. They always do.

Next time, though, if you get stuck, holler for help and i’m sure it will come.

I don’t like delivery people either – OR doorbells ringing – so I understand why you hid……then getting stuck in your hidey spot – well good thing your Mom and Dad hunted you down and helped you! You need extra naps to recovery!

Zoe, I have been known to disappear and #1 will look and look for me and not find me. And then I appear again, as if by magic! That’s what us cats do!

Okay..but you couldn’t have SPOKE out and let mom and dad know that you were okay? Yep, you see Lily does this crap to me all the time. I know that she don’t get out but when I keep looking and she don’t YELL out I get upset, then I am happy to her! Glad you were okay and I sure mom and day gave you loves of lovin!!

Zoe, I’m glad you were found, and not too stuck, and not in any trouble. Delivery people can be scary, especially when they’re delivering big things.

Whew! I’m glad they found you sweet Zoe, they must have been scared to death. It happens to us once in a while too and the stress level keeps increasing until we find our kitty.

Don’t scare your humans like that! Mudpie has gone missing in the basement a few times, she has spots I don’t know about, and at times she’s even had me hunting outside even though I know she couldn’t possibly have gotten out.

OMC! You made your dad run up and down stairs so much while his leg was still sore and bandaged? Whoa! I hope you didn’t miss any meals while you were hiding.

Wow – you are a good hider, Sister Zoe! Samantha did that to us more than once. One time we never did find her or figure out where she had been. We were just relieved when she finally showed back up!!
