Wait. What? Was that the doorbell? Phew, it was only on the TV thingy, but you never know. Ever since last week I’ve been hearing doorbells. Yep, I’m still a bit of a weenie when it come to strangers, especially strangers that announce their arrival by bonging on the doorbell. Oh that’s scary. The Dad needs to figure out a way to disconnect that thing. What Brian? Oh, Brother Brian said they would just knock on the door and I’d run anyways. Hey, he’s right, I would scoot off rather quickly.
Oh well, it’s been quiet so I’ve been playing with the toys in the toy basket. As you can see, I dug out the silvervine pillow, it’s pretty popular here with all of us and it sure doesn’t stay in the toy basket for long. You can also see the leopard print kickeroo, yes, I kickeered the roo out of that thing too. I’ve had to make up for lost toy time after two days in hiding.
Anyways, guess what else? There was some more noise outside, but it wasn’t the kind of visitor that comes inside. I’ll show you tomorrow if you stop by. Have a totally terrific Tuesday everyone and remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
aaaah that tv plays tricks sometimes with doorbells and ringing phones… we start a barkfest too as soon as someone in da tv gets a visitor
Simon, it is very scary when strangers come, especially if they ring the door bell. You just have to be on the alert at all times. You all have a fine day.
Better safe than sorry!
Our lated beloved black cat Buddy was faster than the speed of light when the doorbell rang or when we had company, he’d hide until they left. For us though he was so sweet and loving. Miss him:(
It’s very, very quiet where I live, so the slightest noise causes near panic with everyone(lol). Those toys sure look like fun! Hugs, RO
Our kitty Sophie runs and hides if the doorbell rings too, but cat bro Bert comes running to see who it is.
I’ll bet all those toys will be out of that basket soon!
I used to have a loud buzzer doorbell that would make Misty and johnny jump all the time. When they renovated the building, somebody painted over the button so it doesn’t work anymore. Johnny doesn’t miss it and neither do I.
Happy Tuesday all.
You gave us a good giggle with kickeered the roo out of the kicker. You and Sister Dolly have the biggest and best eyes. Glad things have calmed down enough for you to come out and play. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
Simon you look like you’re on “HIGH ALERT” in that photo!! Isn’t it awful when sounds interrupt your play time? I bet that silvervine kicker will sooth your nerves!
Hugs, teddy
I can remember our kitties hiding when the doorbell rang. Sometimes I couldn’t find them for hours and hours. It’s what kitties do. I’m glad you’re back to normal.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. My best to your peeps. ♥
Simon…OMCs you should live here. NO body ever rings our door(except once in a blue moon)…they always knock and it is more of a tap tap and I have no idea why!!
We two seniors rarely hear the tap tap which is a good thing I guess no solicitors
Hugs Cecilia
Our black cat Shadow runs to the door when the doorbell rings, he is our guard kitty. He is without fear.
We didn’t realise that you were a bit of a….scaredy-cat, Simon! You must learn not to fear the doorbell!
Looking forward to tomorrow!
Purrs,
Tama and Genji
Simon, it’s good that you “kickeered the roo” outta that toy; gotta keep your skills up to date!
I think the silvervine is making you hearing even better, Simon…MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Tuesday🐾😽💞
It’s true, if there is no door bell, then there is knocking. Kitties can’t take a break! Glad it’s been rather quiet there. Have fun with your toys 🙂
Brian is right, the doorbell is much less scary than someone pounding on your door. That’s like savages at the gate! Enjoy your silvervine.
There are a lot of toys in the toy basket.
I can’t wait to see what kind of outside visitor you had!
Simon, that ‘vine pillow looks new. You should see mine. MOL! Do you know if Bin Chow still makes those in Malaysia. I sure could use a new one.
Poor Simon, enjoy your toys! Can’t wait to find out what you heard today sweet boy.
We get very barky when the doorbell rings…you never know what kind of intruder it might be!
xoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
oh my Simon your eyes are HUGE!!!
Simon you have the biggest green eyes — that are so dreamy!
Simon hope you relax by the weekend because we are sure things are going to quiet down
Your face looks so sweet Simin!
Next time you need to grab some toys on your way to hiding out, Simon, so you don’t get bored. ♥
The “eyes” have it – wow, could you get them any bigger? And send some of your toys on over – they look like fun!
That tv thing sure can play tricks. Good you are making up for lost play time.
Glad you are back to having fun, and i hope no more doorbells for a while.
Simon, our doorbell just rang and we all got very excited. Only Lightning barked. But we are happy because it is the a/c guy who we hope is going to fix one of our units so the upstairs stay cool. It is too hot to be without that nice cool air.
We will be back tomorrow to find out what all that ruckus was.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
i love Simon’s big wide eyes!!!
Poor Simon, you did look worried when you heard the noise.
You are suh a cutie.
There’s nothing wrong with being wary of strangers!
Simon, Lexy loves greeting visitors and she runs to the door when the bell rings. I’m a little more fickle. It depends on my mood.
Simon, I’m the same way. I’m a weanie…I admit it.
Hey Simon, Moosey used to not like the doorbell, either. Knocking was okay with him, though!
We’ll see you guys tomorrow, to find out who was outside!
Had a great Tuesday and it sounds like maybe you did once you realized the door bell was on the tv thingy. That pic looks like you are scared to pieces.
Vigilance maintained!
dood…noe joke….get ta de fuze box, mite bee in de garage, N switch de switch ta OFF….trooth dood….trooth !!! 🙂 ♥♥
Yes, visitors can be scary!
Lulu: “The doorbell is okay, Simon. It might mean people coming to give you belly rubs!”
Charlee: “As a cat who is also wary of strangers, Lulu, let me explain to you why Simon might be less than thrilled about that …”
