Hey gang, thanks for coming by on Tabby Tuesday, it’s always fun to see you! I’m just hanging around in the kitchen today. In case you were wondering, it’s not unusual for me to hang out in the kitchen, after all, that’s where the primary food bowl are, just around behind me, over by one of the windows. You can see my favorite fountain behind me too. Oh, and beside that is the peeps favorite fountain MOL! Just kidding!

You know, I was thinking, really I was thinking, that’s not unusual either. I was thinking about wet cat food and why I’m not that big of a wet cat food fan. I’m mostly a crunchie kind of guy. Yes, I know, wet cat food is supposed to be better for me, but I mostly don’t care for it. Oh, I’ll eat some, but not much. Believe it or not I’ll mostly only eat a little wet cat food if the Dad puts a few dabs on a paper towel. In a bowl? Furgetaboutit! It’s not whisker fatigue, our bowls have plenty of whisker room. The Dad keeps trying and I keep telling the Dad good luck with that!

Oh, I do have some tuna juice in the evenings and I get plenty of hydration from the big water bowl, the small water bowls and the fountain too. I wonder what it is with the wet cat food? It’s probably not the menu either, the Dad has sure tried lots of things. Me? Nope? But thanks for trying Dad.

Alright, the kitchen is getting kind of boring so I’m gonna go wake up someone and see if they want to play. Have a fun Tabby Tuesday everyone, see you soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I’ve learned that Bear must have his kibble and his wet food treat. If he’s missing either – all heck breaks loose! A good example is after he had his molar extracted – the vet said no dry food. I gave him six different kinds of wet food and he kept going back to where his bowl is supposed to be. I finally gave in and that didn’t go so well – but at least he stopped looking for his food bowl and relaxed.

We love our wet food, but didn’t like the Drinkwell Water fountain, so we donated it LOL
Our other cats loved that so so bought a new one but -nope.

I getcha Simon…….I’m not a wet food guy either. My Mom has tried everything like your Dad but I just don’t like the stuff. I like crunchy stuff period. I drink plenty of water though – I have water all over the house and get special drinks from the bathroom sink when I ask. I’m glad our parents care enough to keep trying us out on the wet stuff but I also know that they just want us to EAT and get nutrition in the end. That’s the important thing!

    Hugs, Teddy

Oh Simon, look at those big green peepers of yours! We encouraged Angel to eat wet food by sprinkling grated Parmesan cheese on top; the smell is like kibble! That was years ago; nowadays, we have a stash of nutritional yeast, which we call ‘sprinkles’ to dole out whenever we feel a kitty needs a bit of wet food encouragement.

Tell your dad it’s a texture thing. That’s why you don’t like wet food. It works for me and it just may work for you.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. My best to your peeps. ♥

Whoa! You have a HUGE kitchen!! Our’s is a one person only galley kitchen about 4 feet between stove and sink. You should give wet food a chance. In jail I only got kibble and I still like the kibble but wet is where it’s at. Fancy Feast! Weruva! Wellness! It’s a beautiful world.

Aw Lily loves wet or dry food….and treats, lets not forget the treats. I leave the dry out for her on the dryer so that she can go about getting some when she wants it, wet comes in at 2 pm, lunch time, same time the dogs eat. She has her own stool but Cheyenne started proping up there eating off it when Lily left some with the intent of coming back later to eat, had to start feeding that on the dryer also. She is so easy though she just goes right along with ….WHATEVER. Wonder why you don’t like the wet stuff? But, you know, to each their own.

Brian, Mom says there is something very satisfying about chewing something crunchy – that’s why is just loves any and all sorts of tater chips:)

  12. Catscue Catmom

Some of ours like wet food, some like dry, but all like it when Cat Dad bakes a chicken just for the cats and chops it up fine and adds the juice – EVERYBODY likes that treat!

You sure are handsome today Simon!

Sometimes a cat or a person simply does not like a certain edible. It might be the taste or the smell or the texture, but whatever it is, everyone has different taste so that the world will not be boring!

Happy Tabby Tuesday, Simon. Good thinking of hiding out near where the food is at. We LOL at the peeps favorite foundation drinks. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful rest of your day.

  15. William's Kith & Kin

Simon, it’s the same way with me. Usually one night out of three will I eat some wet food, otherwise I just wait for the dry stuff to reappear. The bad news is that Izzy the piglet eats what I’ve turned my nose up at, and cod knows he sure doesn’t need it!

  16. Fraidy Cats!

Simon, when we saw your post title, we expected to see you cooking up trouble 😉 we are surprised that you don’t like shtinky goodness. maybe you’ll get to like it in time (you really are missing out! 🙂 )

Simon, I loves hangin’ out in the kitchen! It’s like the bestest room in the whole house! Ma doesn’t like it when I am in there though ~ SHE says I gets in the way and ‘under foot’. pffft! If she can’t maneuver around a 60lb terrierist, she shouldn’t have gotten one, amirite
Anyhu, I do likes your fountain….and your peeps ‘fountain’ too! BOL!!!
And, I wanted to pop by and say a big THANK YOU! for the well wishes and the POTP! It sure helped lots!
    Ruby ♥

  18. Angie

Hey, we have something in common – a love of the kitchen! It is certainly one of my favorite places to hang out, because there usually IS food involved!

  19. Jan K

Samantha never cared much for wet food either! We did everything we could to get her to eat it, but she always preferred her crunchies. The fountain definitely helped to get her to drink more water too though.

  20. Kitties Blue

Giulietta is not that fond of wet food either. She will either eat one or two bites or just try to bury it. No problem, some other cat is always standing at the ready to finish it for her. Simon, your eyes are super gorgeous in this photo. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer

Oh Simon, you little persnickety kitty! Maybe Dad will mix a little crunch in with your wet food for the best of both worlds?
