Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always so very thankful to each of you for joining us, really! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today I’m thankful for playtime, yes, playtime. As a senior kitty I’m not the most active one here, and I don’t always do a lot of playing, especially during the evening playtime sessions with the Dad. But sometimes I do join in and enjoy it just like the others. I’m really thankful that I still feel like playing some at age 11. It must be like food, it depends on what is on the menu MOL!
You might guess that most of us here like daBird (sorry about that da tabbies o trout towne), and that would include me. Strange as it might sound, one of our favorite toys is one that Sister Seal nicknamed Stubby. Stubby is what is left of a very worn out daBird. I don’t know what it is about Stubby but he gets by whiskers twitchin’ and my butt wigglin’ too. I’m also thankful that the Dad has a regularly scheduled playtime with us each and every evening, it’s something to look forward to fur sure.
What are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

“Stubby,” that’s hilarious. The Little Rat has an arm from a gorilla that remains in his toy box. I love those Da Bird products, although Dexter adored the mouse. He’d even go rooting through my dresser drawers to find it.
Hi Brian, you are one handsome 11-year-old.
Playing is fun, when the mood strikes, Brian! Gracie still gets her play on once in a while, and she’s 19 years old! π
We have an old toy TBT calls “softie-mouse”. It used to be filled with Nip, but is is only a flat cloth bag these days. I (Ayla) carry it around every morning and “merf” while I do so. TBT knows he will find it on the bed blanket most mornings. He says it originally came in a box of Hartz Nip before even Skeeter was here (which makes it at least 30 years old.
TBT once mentioned thinking of opening it to refill it with Nip, and everyone said “don’t mess with success”, so he dint.
Dat’s pawsome dat ya still like playtime at 11!
Boodie still has lots of playful moments, and she is 18.
You are never too old to play, Brian!
We don’t play as much as we used to,but sometimes it is fun.
Catnip usually gets us going though π MOL!
Purrs,Georgia,Julie and JJ
It’s a good thing you still love to play, Brian. Our Jackie doesn’t like to play with us humans, but she is outside a lot, so I think she plays there.
I’m sure the tabbies will let that burd pass haha always good to enjoy play time here and there.
Playtime is what helps keep you feeling young! Keep on playing!
Playtime is the best time, except for food time, of course. Have a great Thursday!
Sometimes the most worn out toys are the best. Glad you still like to play sometimes.
Brain, so glad you are still enjoying some good fun. Great picture of you. You all have a fine day.
Brian
Guyz love to have fun…even no matter the speed at which they play
Hugs Cecilia
You know what Sister Seal? Da bird fell off the end of the string some time ago…and I LOVE the plain old string hanging down off the rod! It’s my fave toy! I didn’t;t like da Bird at all. Mom would just get it out periodically and re-try. Then…it fell off and that was where the good times started rolling!
Brian you are handsome as ever, enjoy your playtime buddy! Happy World Cat Day!
I am glad you still like playing. We love da bird. Thnkis for hosting. Have a great day! XO
Beautiful kitty and glad you are still up to playing ~ Thank your ‘persons’ for hosting this lovely blog ^_^
Happy Day to You,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Wow we like Da Bird at our house too Brian and I like pens! I used to steal them off Dads desk out of the cup and he would be missing every one. MOL. I like to grab them out of his pocket now and that is one of our games. Playtime is the best
I absolutely love that your dad plays with each of you every day. It’s good for all of you π And I’m thankful for Stubby.
Color me green with envy at your dad’s regularly scheduled playtimes, Brian! And 11 isn’t OLD…you are about the same age as myself, and I’ve got a lot of kick in my step.
Playtime is important to keep our predator skills sharp no matter how old we are.
Having a good dad that makes sure there is playtime each evening is a huge thankful. It’s so important to interact with our babies.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. β₯
I’ve never been much of a toy guy – I inherited a lot of great toys from Angel Sammy but I also have lots of new stuff and I rarely play with any of it. I do LOVE the red dot though – that’s my most favorite thing! I think the most impawtant thing is for us to have fun HOWEVER and WHEREVER we find it !
Love, Teddy
We think it is awesome you have a favorite toy than can get your tail twitching Brian! Jakey is the same way, his squeaky toys do the trick every time!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
You and I are the same age, Brian! I still love to play with the laser pointer!

We are thankful too that you are still having some fun playtime with the others and dad. We have a 13-year-old cat at our house and still loves to play for a while at night before bed. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day.
Awww Brian you are like Cody. We DO have a scheduled playtime (between 6 and 7pm) and some nights Cody is SUPER into it….other nights, he will play for a bit and then abruptly leave the room with me sitting there wiggling his toy all by myself looking like an idiot MOL!!!
What a handsome boy you are, Brian!!! You look extra nice against that new fabric. We need to see a video of your playtime with Stubby:)
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Brian, daBird is one of our favorite toys too. But since we moved, the mom canβt find it. We have to get another one.
That’s wonderful that you still enjoy playtime! It will keep you young at heart π
Even at 12 years old, I love after dinner when Mom gets my favorite wand toy out and plays with me.
We’re always happy when Tsunami plays too – so glad you had a bit of fun! π
We are *really* going to work on our mom to get daBird for us.
you look like you are on the hunt there for da bird, Brian! and you are looking very kittenish to boot! enjoy your play time!
feather toys don’t last long around here. we have some new ground prey toys that are a hit π
pip, minnie, hollie, sharpie, ditto, TL
Such a cute photo of you Brian. Playtime is a great thing for which to be thankful. We had our usual…Sawyer went almost an entire week without a seizure. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
Brian, I”m 14+ and until recently I was extremely playful. I’ve slowed down a lot this past year which alarms the peeps. I’m glad you still play. Autumn used to love da bird too when she was about your age.
I am thankful that today was National Cat Day!
Felines can make me smile even if their intentions are naughty. They are unique creatures. Great share Brian and h=thank you for your kindnesses and also for hosting. HUGS
Our oldest here (Harley) isn’t into playing much at all. He will occasionally run zoomies with Woodrow, but he isn’t interested in toys at all. Everyone else is pretty playful around here!
We’re so glad you still have some playfulness in you, Brian, and hope that continues for a long time. It’s always fun to see seniors having a good time! β₯
Dude many apologies fur our lateness, don’t know why we missed joining in last week???!! Maybe the P.A. lost a few more marbles! MOL XOX
