Hey gang, welcome to Mancat Monday, I’m always glad to see you, especially when you’re able to see me too. I might look a little miffed today, maybe that’s because we’ve had a few bumps in the road with my blog. Seriously, those kind of problems do nothing but ruin a good nap.
Last week we started getting emails from several of you wanting to know if we were okay. Why? Well, y’all know we post every day and you didn’t see a post from us. We sure do appreciate you all checking on us, that was mighty nice. Anyways, things weren’t working properly for some reason, and really they still aren’t working right.
We use a caching plug-in for WordPress and that stores some of the main information from our blog, like our header, sidebar, footer, previous posts, etc. in the cache on your computer. That makes our blog load faster because the current new stuff is all that has to load. All of a sudden the only thing y’all were seeing was what you already had on your computer…out last post.
After hours of trying different things and working with our hosting company the Dad disabled the caching plug-in. So now our blog probably loads really slow on your end, but at least you can see us again. The Dad will be trying a few things this week so if we seem to disappear, we didn’t, your just not seeing our current post. So, if that happens please refresh/reload your browser and you should see us.

I had an issue with this a few months back. I think I did the same thing but I’m not sure now. Incidentally, your blog didn’t load particularly slow. I’m glad all is well and appreciate you coming by to boogieing with me on the dance floor yesterday. Have a Awwwesome Monday, my furriend!

Yep…it seems to always be something, don’t it? I have not had much issues with my blog, hoping that it is not slow loading for you guys. Yours is fine with me….its nice to know that you are loved to have folks checking on you!!
We did have that issue one or two days, but then we found your blog. Today it loaded real slow. It is such a headache when things don’t work right, it takes all the fun out of blogging.
Brian, you look mighty handsome there. Glad things are working better on the blog. You all have a great Monday.

Sorry to hear you have to deal with cache issue! Your website loaded normally for us. I hope it’s the same for other friends.
Your page loads fast for me. You can have all kinds of issue, but caching problems are the worst.
Tech problems are the worst! My human just had the backend my blog tuned up – she has to use a webmaster because she just can’t keep up with WordPress updates and conflicts.

My human stays with Blogger it’s easier for her to use. She cannot handle too complicated techno geek thingy.
I didn’t notice your blog loading slowly. But self-hosting always is an adventure in frustration! It’s all good, Brian, I think there’s a scratch box that needs some attention so you can take out your frustration. 🙂
You are lucky your Dad knows how to deal with those issues. Our assistant, who has been lazy lately, wouldn’t have any idea how to fix issues like that. We always enjoy seeing all of your posts.

The very same thing happened to my blog – if you find a good cache that doesn’t mess everything up, let us know!
Yep, blogging is sometimes more trouble than it’s worth. Those plug-ins can be annoying. We’re on Blogger so we don’t have to deal with them but I seem to remember at one time you had a ton of problems with Google so I understand you going the plug-in route.
To err is human, but to really foul things up requires technology!

Blogging bugs sure aren’t fun. But hey, works at least for now.
I am fairly sure I got a post from you every day as usual, Brian. Maybe it depended on which browser was being used. There is no difference in how fast your blog loads either, it has always been one of the faster ones for me. There are 3 or 4 that I could go and make a cup of coffee while I am waiting!
I noticed the same thing, but I was able to find your most current post on the CB, thankfully. Now it’s happening with Summer’s blog too…
We hate all that technical stuff too, Brian. We don’t use any caching thing…and we sure hope you can get yours figured out.
Although I didn’t comment on all your posts last week, I’m pretty sure I got to see them most everyday on my MAC??

Interestingly enough the French word for hide is cache so it seems about right!!

Your bloggy seems to load just fine on my computer with no issues. It doesn’t seem slow at all. Maybe a doggy was pulling your leg? Tee hee hee.
