Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by on Tabby Tuesday and thanks for doing it quietly. Maybe it’s because Halloween is coming soon and the ghouls and gobblins will be out and about soon, but I’ve been hearing things recently. Those things that go bump in the night, or bump in the day, seem to startle me and I go ducking for cover. Well, not like a real duck, but I do go run and hide.
Just the other day I was having my breakfast when something startled the ferals and they went running across the deck. Dang, that scared me to and I went running and hid under the recliner back in the bedroom. Then the garbage truck came, then the mower humans came, then a motorcycle went by, it just never stops!
The Dad said I should quit being such a wiener. Really? Do I look like a hot dog to you? The Dad said I’m safe in here and he would never let anything or anyone hurt me. Oh, I know that’s true but those noises scare me sometimes. It’s funny though, because not all noises scare me, some loud things I totally sleep though, like fireworks or thunderstorms, but I can hear a mower start a mile away. I do have lots of support though, if I get scared and run Sister Seal goes with me and so does Sister Dolly.
At least I come out on my own and nobody has to come searching for me. But I always come out to do my Tabby Tuesday post. Catch ya soon y’all, have a fun Tuesday. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
So many noises in this world.
It’s OK to hide. That way you can determine if the noise is a threat from a safe place.
It’s nice too, that you sometimes have company π

Good you come out on your own. Those lawn mowers are no fun, pushing them or listening to them.
How sweet that your two sis-furs go with you to comfort and protect … loud noises, unexpected ones, can startle humans too … so you are not alone!
I know, Simon. I am the same, not scared but startled easily. Even the phone ringing makes me jump out of my skin!
Lots of things go “bump” in the night (and day too sometimes), hope Halloween isn’t too scary Simon.
Oh Simon…please don’t worry. As your Dad said…nothing will ever be allowed to harm you or any of you there. XX
Our loser neighbors are still setting off super loud fireworks on the weekend nights. That is really scary!
After a year of construction noises, we donβt even notice the everyday ones anymore. Most of us used to come right inside when we heard the garbage truck coming up the alley. Now, it doesnβt really bother us. Simon, it is nice that Seal keeps you company when you need to hide. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
The world can be a scary place. The trash men come every Thursday and steal our stuff no matter how loud we bark.
It’s simply amazing how loud it is here during the day when the windows are open for whiffies!
LOL Simon, no you are not hot dog π It’s wonderful your sisfurs support you when scary noises are around!

Simon…your EYES are stunning…ABSOLUTELY…
As for your ears…I’d be with you strange noises startle me too
Hugs Cecilia
Brian, Da Boyz move for only one noise…the vacuum! Everything else they ignore, or look a bit quizzical for a time. Angel, like you, cares little for any loud anything!
Sweet Simon, I’m sorry you get scared. It’s interesting that the rare thunder or fireworks don’t bother you at all – you are unique cute boy.
My dog is scared of the leaf blowers but when he hears a truck or the garbage truck he wants to fight them. lol
So many noises… But we know you can trust your dad, you’re safe in yoiur home ! Purrs
You are just like Pocket. That is a good way to be.
oh yes-Lucy is very sensitive to noises also! Have a peaceful day!
Whoa! I’m with you on noises only I go to the door to investigate unless, of course, the doorbell is the noise. Then I keep a safe distance until I find out if it’s food or I need to go to my office. When I hear a noise and stop eating, TW always says “they’re not coming in here and if they do, they’ll have to knock me out first.” MOL!
Don’t worry Simon, Noelle does the exact same thing.

It’s nothing to be ashamed of. You’re just wary, that’s all!
You are smart to hide. π
Simon you are sooooo handsome and look at those gorgeous colored eyes!
Happy Day to You,

Hi Simon. *wavy paws* I think humans are very noisy cweatures. Why do they have to do everything so LOUD? They weally need to simmer down and speak softly, work softly, and above all…give that vacuum cleaner to the garbage truckman.
I sympathize with you Simon. I don’t like loud noises either. Hopefully it quiets down for you.
Want to know a secret, Simon? While none of us here likes noises, Ivan and Izzy will hide when they hear a doorbell ON TV!
~Elliott.
It really is okay to be cautious. Not so cautious that you never try fun, new things, but a little cautious.
Oh Simon you have the most beautiful eyes. You don’t need to hide cause you know dad will take care of you and you need to be out and about showing off those eyes! But if you have to hide I am glad you have company.
Oh, Simon – your eyes are beyond incredible! You and Hachi should have a talk about how safe you both are now. Your dad will always protect you, Simon. Always.
tee hee! of course you aren’t a hot dog, Simon π we are the opposite of you where fireworks and thunder send us for cover but mowers don’t bother us. although trucks that mean someone might come to our door…yikes!
minnie, hollie, sharpie, ditto, TL
Boodie used to be our scaredy cat. But then she got braver over time. And now that she’s old and deaf, noises never bother her at all.
We hear ya, Simon. Ava is like you — thunder, the lawnmower humans, fireworks, and so on don’t bother her one bit. But if Mom or Dad sneezes or moves too fast, she gets startled. Go figure!
Simon, don’t let those noises worry you. Humans create lots of noise pollution, but just use your keen kitty skills to try and tune them out or you could always get yourself a pair of earbuds and listen to sounds of nature. Tummy tickles.
Well, it is at least nice that you have company when you’re hiding out, Simon! Maybe in time you’ll get used to some of those things, and/or really come to understand that Dad will always keep you safe. β₯
Hey Simon, some of those things scare me too. I’s think you look very handsum, not anythin’ like a weiner dog. So, don’t you worry. Big hugs
Luvs ya’
Raena and Dezi
I sympathize, Simon!
