No Tricks, Just Treats for Shelters 2019

Hello there everyone, thanks to all of you for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am so very thankful to each of you for joining us! As you know, each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today I’m thankful for our pals Arty, Jakey, Rosy and Mom Beth at LLB in Our Backyard for hosting their annual fundraising event for shelters called No Tricks, Just Treats for Shelters.  This year they are featuring 3 different bloggers who deal with helping animals on a regular basis.  We’re honored to be featured covering our work with our feral cats.  Two other wonderful bloggers will be featured on October 28th and October 29th.  I’m sure you’ll know them, if not, you sure will want to visit and introduce yourselves.

Now then, how do they raise money for shelters?  Here’s the details from their blog post:

“Just publish a Halloween post letting us know some way you plan to/or have helped a shelter or pet in need, and link up to the hop. We will be donating $1 per hop entry AND 50 cents for each comment we receive on the 30th and 31st (Make sure to join the hop with a post each day)! Money raised this year will be split between Legacy Boxer Rescue, Marg’s Animals and to our local Cat Rescue, HART(Humboldt Area Rescue Team) in Brian’s name.”

So, you see, we all can help, so let’s do it.  We do what we do with our feral kitties because we love helping them.  I’m thankful we were asked to participate and I’m thankful that others have an interest in the things we do with community cats.

  8. Happy Thursday and thanks for hosting the THANKFUL HOP – we all have a lot to be thankful for and we think the No Tricks Just Treats For Shelters effort is definitely something to be thankful about. Helping each other is ALWAYS the right thing to do.

    What a nice idea! I’m all for the NO tricks part of Halloween. The treats I really should say no to but my sweet tooth refuses to cooperate. :) Best of luck to raising money for your favorite animal shelter!!

  12. To Dad and Mom ~ Thank You for providing a loving home, indoors and outdoors for so many kitties for so many years! You are the best example of what to do and how to do it when it comes to true care for our feline friends! You give from the heart, each and every day … the world is better because of you.

  33. you are always doing wonderful things! Not sure if I can purrticipate in the hop but you KNOW I donate whenever I can and promote animals who needs homes whenever I can. Just not sure I can get it together to write a post.

  34. If it wasn’t for folks who help ferals none of the Tribe of Five would be in our furever home. We are thankful for everyone who helps feral and shelter animals!
