Ahhhhh quiet. Hello everyone, thanks for coming by on Mancat Monday. As you can tell from my post title it was a noisy weekend, really noisy. Well, maybe that’s a bit misleading. The whole weekend wasn’t noisy but Saturday sure was and there were all kind of noises going on here too.
So, why was it so noisy? There was a human introoder called a plumber and he came early Saturday morning. I didn’t need no plumber, I didn’t spring no leak, but the peeps did. Well, the peeps didn’t actually spring a leak either but some things in the house did. I mentioned a while back that one of the human potty boxes was leaking. In addition to that, the water faucet in the kitchen was leaking and about shot and then both faucets in the big bathroom were leaking too. That’s a whole lotta leaking going on.
The plumbing human put in a new human potty box in the small bathroom down stairs and a new faucet in the kitchen and two new faucets in the big bathroom. Plus, in the kitchen under the sink there are things to twist to shut of the water, those had to be replaced too. Oh my, the noise, there was some sawing cutting pipes, some vacuuming, more cutting and more vacuuming. Plus there was a stranger in the house.
What did I do? I snuggled up and sat with my Mom. Every other kitty was pretty scared, especially Simon and I’m sure he will tell you about it tomorrow. Now it’s hopefully gonna be a quiet week, but we’re going to have an artic blast of cold this week. Plus, in another oh crap moment, we’ve got kittens outside. We don’t know where they came from and they’re only showing up in the middle of the night on our security camera.
See ya soon. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!
it’s complicated for humans… we go to a store and buy a litter box, they have to call someone… humans, huh?
Hope those kittens will stay warm.
The humans sure have way more complicated litterboxes. Hopefully a quiet week is had and the kittens stay warm in the cold too.
Oh no, not more kittens. I hope they are keeping warm.
It sounds like it was a hectic weekend, but you were brave to sit with your mum and make sure she didn’t get scared by the noise.
Well sure glad all that was fixed and now you have some piece and quiet. Sure hope those kittens can stay warm. Any sign of the Mom???
Hope all of you have a grand day.
Our kitties don’t appreciate people like plumbers either. My sisters and I would love to help out, but Mom always makes us sit in our crates. Hopefully today will be peaceful for you.
Noisy and expensive. 🙁
OH! My mom said she sure knows what you all and your mom and dad went through with all the leaking going on. She said she’s fixed up pretty well now. About those kittens, if you all can we’d love to see them. I wonder if their parents are also coming?
Happy $aturday for that plumber-man even if not so much for you! Ah well … better days now!
Oh my, but some things need attention and things that leak can cause lots of problems. Not all is well. I know you kitties are not fans of intruders int the house though. I hope things will be quiet for a long time.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. My best to your peeps. ♥
New potty and faucets, pawsome! Not the noise though, that isn’t ever any fun. Congratulations on the kittens! Now the real work for the peeps happens, worry, feed, trap spay/neuter, find homes – whew, I’m tired just writing about it!
“That’s a whole lotta leaking going on…” LOL!
Brian, the main leaky faucet for us is the old claw-foot bathtub, and The Hubby has gotten to expert level at replacing the o-rings. But it’s his fault ’cause he purchased the cheapest faucet around…pay now, or pay later…
Wow, sounds like there was a lot going on at your house this weekend! I hope your humans can help those kittens somehow.
Uhoh on all that plumbing stuff….and a stranger who makes a lot of noise in the house too. That’s a lot to put up with! I know you’re glad it’s over. As for the little visiting kittens – that’s scary with all this cold weather – I hope their Mom didn’t just abandon them.
Hugs, Teddy
Oh no, weekends are supposed to be for peace and quiet! Well, these things do have to be fixed though, and that can be a noisy prospect.
We sure hope the little kittens can find a warm place during your cold spell. ♥
That’s a LOT to deal with! Glad the problems are fixed now.
Yikes Brian….having recently had a plumber here…for a leaky faucet and new potty…fair warning your
treat piggy bank took a serious hit. Whew our plumber makes over 100. and hour…then the cost of the items
Did your peeps get one of the higher Senior potty boxes with more efficient use of water?
Honestly I have noticed a big difference in the high one. We are gonna get one for the master and mistress bath room. MOL MOL
Hugs Cecilia
Oh, I’d hate to see that bill. It was probably worse than taking one of you to the vet! We’ve replaced some faucets and the ring that goes under the potty box, but I draw the line at soldering. That definitely requires a professional. I’m glad your castle’s plumbing is all fixed and you have quiet again. Kittens, in the middle of winter?! Yikes. I’m sure your Dad will provide whatever he can for them.
Wooooboy that’s a lotta leaking Brian! Well it’s a good thing that plumber came by and fixed up all those leaks!
wonderful to visit again after an absence our end. Blogging time has been carved up by other things in life but 2020 promises much more posting because we miss it and miss regularly visiting our blogging friends. We hate noise too especially human sneezing X
In that case, I wish you a peaceful week.
We’re glad the humans litterbox got fixed, and glad that your home is quiet again. Purrs
We don’t like strangers coming in and making noise either, Brian. Some guys are supposed to come tomorrow and put a new hot air blowing thing our upstairs. We’ll be hiding when they do.
Wow, that’s a lot of plumbing work all at once! Unfortunately, our house needs much of the same work.
Oh, no! Well, at least the plumber got it all done in one go, let’s hope no more plumbing issues for a long time.
And oh, no! on the kittens. Poor things, i wonder if someone dumped them, what a worry with the bad weather.
Brian, plumbing problems are the worst! Our mom repairs our stuff, but the HBO words! Those get just as loud!
I absolutely hate when we have workers over the house. What a bother! I would have done what you did. I don’t know why they don’t must use the box!
I feel your pain. TW used to be able to fix those leaky faucets in the old house. Her and Grampa did a lot of the plumbing. We need one in the condo too. Those shutoff valve thingies under our kitchen sink need to be replaced, both toilets need help flushing and we need someone brave enough to hook up the washer/dryer that’s been sitting there since June. Eek! Oh yeah, the windows are gonna be replaced either this month or next month but the plumber guy doesn’t do that.
Have you every seen what a plumber cost. Hope the job was done quickly
OMC wat a situation and strangers in the house is my worst nightmare, Brian. We hope everything is fixed properly and that it’s not to cold for the kitties outside. Warm Pawkisses for everyone🐾😽💞
Wow! That’s a lot of leaking. Hmmm, my bathroom sink is starting to leak. Maybe I should borrow your plumber although I think Midnight and Pinkie might now like a stranger either. Pinkie likes the bathroom sink leaking a little as I’ve put a bowl there and she jumps up to drink the water. She likes it better than her water bowl.
Brian,
Plumbing is such a huge headache for humans. Our home is very old and every time we have to work on it, let’s just say it’s easier to extract a tooth than to deal with it. DH always fumes when has to change the washers in the washer-less faucets. Why are they are called washer-less when they have washers is beyond my comprehension. I hope your day is quiet and peaceful now that’s behind you. Oh, yeah we’re under some frigid weather, too. BRRR, it’s too cold for me!
Yep, sometimes the house gets real noisy ~ glad you had Mom’s lap to feel safe ~ Sweet photo ^_^

OMC!! you had ready made fountains this past weekend!!
OMD…the nerve of that plumber making so much noise!!
We sure hope the weatherman is wrong and those kittens stay warm!

That extra noise, extra humans sure can be stressful!
