Today I’m really thankful for a bit more of a quieter chain gang. What? Okay, let me explain. You know the noisy Saturday we had with the plumber here and you know we were ready for lots of peace and quiet after that. Well, something else broke and it did involve a chain. I’m just really thankful there aren’t any chains in the house.
BUT, there is one big chain in the garage and it’s a chain that helps lift up the garage door when the Mom and Dad need to get one of there wheely things out. Yepper, the chain went pop to our Pop and fortunately it didn’t pop any of those wheely things. Oh, the Dad could still open the garage door but he said it is a real pin in the back. So, the Dad called out the chain gang.
Hooray, nobody was inside the house and if the chain gang made any noise we didn’t here it and believe me, we’re all thankful for that. What are you thankful for today? Tell me in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

I’m glad the garage door got fixed! The humans need to get in and out to get your cat food and litter!
We sure are glad the garage door got fixed, Brian. We wouldn’t want Dad hurting his back!
Our garage we still do it manual.
Coffee is on
Dad got his garage door oiled up as it was tough to open by the guy but we did not hear that either. We are glad that old chain is fixed so your Dad keeps a happy back. Purrs to all
Gosh, I hope nothing else needs fixing. You all have had your fair share lately.
oh that was a bad moment… but we are happy with you that the chain gang fixed the door and now it runs without problems…
Ok this is weird but the SAME thing happened to our garage door tonite!!
Good thing you got the garage door fixed .
No purrson likes to be held prisoner 😉
At least you are nice and comfy Brian 🙂
Purrs, Georgia and Julie
I am glad the chain gang didn’t make a lot of noise, and that your dad doesn’t have to hurt his back.
Great that door got fixed and no strangers had to come inside. Double win.
So glad it’s quieter for you today!!
Glad the peeps can still get out of the garage. Anyway, you all have a terrific day.
Boy, you have really had a run of bad luck with the house stuff. Hope things stay in good repair for a while!
What a relief that Simon didn’t have to do his dustbunny duties again – MOL! When it rains, it pours, your poor humans, two maintenance issues in one week! Let’s hope that does it for 2020.
My other favorite brovver in NC had the same problem. Those chains must be in a chain union or something.
Meowser Brian dear furiend, what an exciting week you’ve had!!! I’ve NEVER seen an actual plumber because pops fixes everything, not just pipes and leaks, but when I was still toddling, I have a hazy memory of him replacing the garage door opener – not because it had the excitement of a chain breaking, but because he wanted to have an exterior keypad as well as those clicky thingys….
Thank you for hosting this blog hop. Hope you all have a purrfect week.
Purrseidon
Well I’m glad your Dad wasn’t hurt when the chain went POP and that the chain gang got there to FIX IT without disturbing the sleeping kitties in the house! Happy HOPPING today – thanks again for being such a great host.
Hugs, Teddy
Thank goodness the garage door got fixed, I can imagine that was a huge headache. I’m thankful that you reminded me with this post that it’s Thursday and NOT Friday.(lol) I literally have been posting everywhere Happy Friyay.(lol) Hugs, RO
Oh dear, that could be an expensive repair, Brian! At least the workers aren’t invading your territory this time…that’s definitely something to be thankful for.
Oh so glad you didn’t have to contend with anymore noise inside ~ sweet photo of you ^_^
Happy Moments to You,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
It seems when one thing breaks others follow. I’m glad this work was done and it didn’t bother anyone but your dads back.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. ♥
Oh my word Brian…thank goodness your Photographer and Writer were not trapped in the garage.
I hope the chain gang makes quick work of the repair.
FYI: we like our new loo so much we are having the other 2, vintage (circa 1983) replaced tomorrow.
Hope to see a big change in our water bill too.
Hugs Cecilia
We feel your pain about having workers in the house. It is so distressing. I am glad that the “chain gang” was quiet and fixed your garage door!!!!
Whoa! Glad it didn’t hit anything. I thought your title referred to a bike chain. TW says that when she was a kid, there was a chain to flush the human litter box and that used to break.
We’re glad your chain gang was so efficient!
Purrs,
Tama and Genji
Old Man Winter is really reeking havoc at your house this week!
It’s a good thing the garage door was fixed without disturbing all of you. Like Summer said, it’s important for the humans, so they can get cat stuff.
Glad to hear the noise didn’t disturb you.
Whew….we are so glad this gang was much more quiet(and that your garage door is all fixed up)!
xoxo,
Rosy, Jakey & Arty
So glad I know of which chain gang you were talking about….haha. Yep…I dislike those days when things break and don’t work like they should. Hoping you furs have a great day.
LOVE today’s photo of your cat Terry! Thankful for a nice day and that it’s starting out to be a productive one. Have a paw-some weekend! 🙂
Our garage door thingy did that once too. Mom says it’s always something with a house. We’re glad we don’t have to deal with any of those things!
The Florida Furkids
You sure are having a bad spell there with the house repairs! We’re just glad this one left you kitties out of it, so there were no more disturbances to your peace ♥
dood…we gotta say thatzz one total lee awesum pro filez shot !!! 🙂 ♥♥
Looks like there’s mewsic in the ♪♫♪Chain Gang♪♫♪, Brian😸Pawkisses for a Happy Thursday to all of you🐾😽💞
It’s never fun when things break but considering it has been 12 years since I had a garage I can’t really relate. 🙂
Brian, we hope that’s the last thing that breaks in your house.
Glad the chain gang didn’t go inside 🙂
When it rains it pours!
What a blessing that no one needed to come in the house to get the repairs done!
We had that same problem recently. I Never realized how heavy that door is before – aching back is an understatement.
It’s always something, Brian!
Thankful this week fo Sawyer going 23 days between seizures and for the good response we had to this week’s “The Adventures of Periwinkle & Stinky” series. Glad your workers didn’t come inside this time. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
I am glad that has been taken care of. We hope there is no more work done at your house. It causes unrest.

Pssst … how does Me & Myself put a photo on my comment like other kitties has? I’m so curious as a cat! Abundacat thanks pal
Yeah,, those metal monster room doors are heavy. Don’t think mum could open it on her own.
Someday I will learn not to be so quick trying to cancel my link in and starting over. I apologize for taking two spots here. I am thankful for knowing such kind people here. Felines too. Have a beautiful weekend and always tell your stories. HUGS
Glad your pop was able to get that fixed! No one wants a pain in the back every time they have to get something from the garage!
Oh my, what a calamity!!! So glad mew got it fixed!!! Happy Friday gang! XOX
Thank the heavenly stars that nopawdy was too close to the chain when it decided to “pop”. Those garage doors sure can make loud grouchy noises. Tee hee hee.
Catzowey! It’s already Friday and I’m just commenting on Wednesday’s wordless day – I think I been catnapping too much!
Sorry I am late, out of town. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.
uh oh…is it the chain that gave your Dad his back trouble now? Eeek!
